What are the pushers for? Passap Duo 80

I was thinking mention to you, that IF we move our lock slightly over the knitting, then back it up, before it has actually knitted, it may have changed some pushers, and will then knit wrong, if you don't notice, or fix them. I was going to tell you that it would be good if you would mention this in a video, to remind us to be aware to watch that we don't accidentally move some, to make them react opposite our intentions. The last thing I made on one of my Passaps was tights. For that I use N, CX, BX, and pushers with arrows for various points of the process.

I forgot to include that in the video. It would be a very useful tip, you're right. I had also made this mistake several times, after which I had to start the project over.

Very informative. I have a E6000. So the console does the moving of front pushers for me. But the back bed was always a mystery, but i know now how they work. Thx. Keep up the good work.

Yes, as long as I know, the back lock on the E6000 is the same as on the duo 80, but the front one is different. Thank you for your comment!

Siempre todo bien explicado y mostrando con la máquina. Tienes alma de educador, sabes muy bien cómo desarrollar la complejidad de las acciones de menos a más. Sólo me queda una duda, es obligación configurar lo mismo de la cama delantera en la ama trasera si estamos tejiendo con ambas camas???. En qué caso no se cofigira la cama trasera dejándola en N ( Así no trabajan los empujadores???). Me encantaría ver las muestras de los tejidos en cada uno de los casos explicado: AX, BX etc

Me alegra saber que encuentras útiles mis explicaciones. Los diferentes ajustes en las cerraduras hacen que la máquina teja diferentes tejidos. Hay muchos casos en los que el carro trasero y el delantero se configuran de manera diferente. El ejemplo más sencillo que se me ocurre es el del punto media trenza, donde los carros se configuran en N/EX, o el tejido de punto largo - N/CX. Puedes ver muchos más ejemplos en el pequeño libro de patrones de puntos que viene con la máquina. Además, cuando la máquina está configurada en AX, esto significa que producirá un punto de entrelazado. Se pueden tejer muchos tejidos diferentes con esta configuración, pero todo depende del arreglo de los empujadores y de las filas que se vayan a tejer.

Las teclas de flecha izquierda y derecha cambiarán las posiciones de los empujadores en momentos diferentes. Por ejemplo, digamos que la carriola está en el lado derecho de la máquina: cuando se presiona la tecla de flecha izquierda, la máquina cambiará primero las posiciones de los empujadores y luego tejerá la fila hacia la izquierda. Si se presiona la tecla de flecha derecha, la máquina tejerá la fila hacia la izquierda y luego, en la segunda fila, moverá primero los empujadores y después tejerá. El patrón o la imagen que se va a tejer define qué tecla de flecha se debe presionar para que la máquina seleccione los empujadores correctos en el momento adecuado.

This was a mystery for me, now it is not anymore. Thank you. I have made a test for the jacquard (page 67 in the book) this is a reversible pattern. The way as shown in the book the sides stay open, it might be better to use 1 extra pusher on the sides to close.

I am not sure, but you may test it to see if it would work. Sometimes you need to break the needle rule in order to receive nice-looking edges. For example, if you are knitting a tuck pattern.

I thoroughly love your videos! Your explanations and size in the video zero in what is happening. I am learning to use the passap E6000. The instructional videos are lacking and showing what the bed should look like after a step has been taken. My issue comes in on the cast on in video number four. When I have everything set up and I do the first empty run from right to left, it moves all my front pushers into rest position. Then I make an empty run to the right. I pick up the thread, put in the orange pieces And knit to the left. There are a few racquet handle changes in there. On the cast on, it only cast on the back needles. The video does not show where the pushers should be after the first empty run so I don’t know if that’s my problem or some other problem is existing. I follow all the instructions exactly but I don’t know what it should look like on the bed.HELP PLEASE.I think you’re the only one that can explain this clearly.

Thank you for the kind comment. Unfortunately, I have never used an E6000, and I can't help with your issue. Only the back lock is the same for both machines. I don't know how to set up an E6000.
