All they have to do to make the Camaro sell well is make it look good like they did in the early 2000s they started turning the car into a Japanese sports in its design which makes absolutely no sense they self sabotaged the Camaro losing its muscle car design it should’ve evolved from the 2015 Camaro ZL1 but instead they started to stray completely away from what people actually recognize as what a Camaro is Camaro had a timeless design like the Challenger and Porsche it’s not much you had to change in the cars design language all they had to do was enhance a already perfect design to what the Camaro is supposed to look like

As a 22-year-old who in the next few years will be buying my own car for the first time, it genuinely makes me sad that I will pretty much be able to buy hybrids and electric cars. The funny thing is, I actually like a lot of electric cars and hybrids, but the fact that I am going to be pretty much forced out of buying anything that has a true rumble. Keep the faith and REFUSE to purchase any new vehicles until they listen to us.
@Michael-pi8ps18 сағат бұрын
Listening to customers will run companies into the ground. Americans refusing to accept change and their desire to hold onto the past will be the reason America loses its place on the world stage. Exceptionalism isn’t a destination it’s a constant journey. Imagine if the Miami Dolphins went around saying they’re the greatest team and they are the Super Bowl champions; yes, they were champions…. 49 years ago
@jamesaron196718 сағат бұрын
Listening to the customer is not the problem. Governments that push anti-ICE legislation are secondarily responsible and the overarching supranational organizations who control them that are driving the EV agenda are primarily responsible. Manufacturers have NO CHOICE and hence, neither do we except to search in the classifieds.

humans are starting to become more and more boring, buying the same old crossover, to do the same old thing. Hopefully the minivan effect will happen when too many moms have SUV's, and they become boring, and people will switch back to normal cars.
@halfgeek139418 сағат бұрын
By then there won’t be any normal cars for people to switch to. The minivan effect was ended when people flocked to the crossover, manufacturers realized they could make more money selling crossovers, so they dropped their cheaper sedans. Wagons got replaced with crossovers. And so the cycle continues. Now with hybrids and EVs crossovers don’t suffer from high gas prices, and people think they’re safer. So think about current crossovers as 1980s land barges.
@jamesaron196717 сағат бұрын
If it was simply boredom why are people still buying SUVs and driving their market share higher and higher? SUVs are what, in their third if not fourth decade of production now? Isn't that more than sufficient time for people to be 'bored' of the platform? It's not waning interest in a platform, it's _competition_ from more appealing emerging platforms that supersede customers' previous preferences. Coupes started to decline several decades back when sports sedans became commonplace as every manufacturer began offering models. Why buy a sports coupe when you can have a sedan with more doors and likely more luggage space for a similar price/performance? Sedan and sales started declining when the SUV craze began in earnest. Why drive a sedan when you can buy an SUV that does the same things but has even more room, easier ingress/egress and almost certainly better performance in inclement weather? It was inevitable that minivans would be supplanted by smaller SUVs. That's a no-brainer to me. The crossover is an interesting one. If there was ever a platform with no clear raison d'etre, no question it's the crossover. It doesn't bring anything new to the table that wasn't already available in the market other than a new style which I find odd-looking.

Regarding 20:14 "...I don't care that it's uh 80% BMW...". I agreed 100%. The McLaren F1 has a BMW engine and it is considered as the greatest supercar ever built. The Toyota Supra having a BMW engine and other bits and pieces will possibly be looked upon favorably as years go by as a very positive unique attribute with this Supra. It is due to this terrific collaboration that this two seater Supra coupe exists, and BMW does not have a coupe two seater in their line-up, they only have the two seater convertible. The Supra looks absolutely remarkable when one sees it in traffic, it's a standout.

Also their plastics are designed to last (as opposed to brutally cheap-looking "piano black" in newer Porsches). Unfortunately all newest cars, not only Porsches, are going down the drain, in terms of quality, durability and fun-to-drive factor: I had my eyes set on BMW M2, but then I realized it has almost no BMW DNA, its manual-gearbox is subpar, and is clearly designed for the Chinese customers first and foremost.
