Delta 1/40th represent!! Reception is boring but once you get shipped out it’s not as bad . The first 72 hours are the worst but after that basic gets fun. Recycling never happened they just threaten you to do better. You guys can do this!!!

I went through BCT there from 11/2020-02/2021. It was very cold during our Blue phase, -14 Degrees Fahrenheit to be exact. I completed AIT in July.

COVID depending they have family day! That day your family or friends can take you off base and you get to spend the entire day with them! I think we had to go back around 20:00. After basic training you get shipped off to AIT where after awhile at longer AIT's, your family is allowed to visit on weekends and take you off base if they want!

The military has changed some since I joined,it can be pretty challenging at first,but it will taper off as you progress. You will meet people of differing backgrounds and probably from different countries as I did while I was in the military. I can honestly say for myself,that I have no regrets.

It sucked big time not knowing how he was doing but he made it through alright. He said basic was a lot easier than he figured it would be. That’s crazy that they let people “leave” or “quit” hahaha when I went through basic training in 2008 technically you could “quit” but they made it seem like you couldn’t and you basically had to do something crazy like hurt yourself to get out like they basically have you brainwashed into thinking you can’t leave and if you stick with leaving you will end up getting treated like absolute scum and they will purposely make your out processing take forever and you would be there for like 6 months waiting to ge your while they treat you like absolute garbage

Basically the difference in BCT between going through during war time and peace time is night and day. And I went to basic at fort Jackson which is considered one of the more tame places but during wartime in 2008 it was still wild. Most of my drill Sargents where from ranger or SF units so they were all super hardcore and we got smoked most of the day everyday right off the rip from day one of processing. Shit the first three weeks we only got to sleep 4 hours every night and not even 4 hours straight. They would let us sleep for an hour then wake us up screaming at us smoke us for an hour then let us sleep another hour then repeat 4 times and this was every night for the first three weeks straight then even for the rest of basic at least once or twice a week.
