@@christanikenna48 Yes! A cephalic oblique position is NORMALLY not too much of a problem. Oftentimes, the baby will move into a better position during labor (or already in the pre-labor phase) allowing you to have a normal delivery... 😊

I'm 38 weeks pregnant and my baby girl is in breech position. I've tried exercises since being informed she was breech at 36 weeks. At 39 weeks, (next week) my doctor has scheduled a c section. I am a first time mother, smaller and fit, baby is big too (roughly 8lbs). I've gained little weigh and would be considered "all belly". I am hoping she will turn head down before the surgery.

My baby was vertex and I sat slumped in the sofa just one night with painful posture. She started rotating the next day and was sideways. Now she’s head up and oblique. The baby usually moves around and takes its final position around 36. I’m 35 weeks so I’m getting nervous. I would just suggest maintaining good posture, walking and sitting on a birth ball

Hi there 😊, please note that - even if your baby is breech at this point - it's still early days. A lot is going to happen over the next 12 weeks... So, position-wise, there is not yet a reason to be worried... The only question is: will your placenta interfere with a normal delivery? It depends on the severity of the problem. Basically, when your uterus expands, it expands upwards - and when that happens, it pulls the placenta with it. Because of that, it can sometimes be that an initially low-lying placenta does not pose a problem eventually (at the due date). So, don't give up just yet! 😊

Hi there 😊, first of all, let me assure you that we know lots of cases, when babies turned MUCH later than week 32. Some of them only turned in week 40 (!). So right now, there is no really a reason to worry... But, if you want to, then there ARE ways to support this process: We have found that - as long as a woman is less than 34 weeks pregnant - an exercise called "pelvic rocking" on a birthing ball is the most effective tool to turn a breech (or transverse) baby. We explain how it works in this video (actually, everything that we explain in this video could help): kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmTWgIKYpr97qLs And then once a woman is 34+ weeks pregnant, we have found that "moxibustion" in combination with breech baby turning exercises is more effective to turn a baby. Hi there 😊, researchers found that if you had a breech baby in your first pregnancy, there is a higher probability for your second baby to be breech too (compared to women who did not have a breech baby). I am 36 weeks with a frank breech baby and after two unsuccessfull ECVs, I have to decide between vaginal birth or c-section. I was always inclined to give first naturally but I know that not everybody can deliver a breeched baby. Should I go straight to a c-section or try to go for a vaginal delivery anyways? What would be the signs to switch from vaginal to c-section during labor?
@CareAboutLittleOnes Жыл бұрын
Hi there 😊, that is indeed a very difficult to decision to make! But please understand that we cannot tell you what you should do because this can only be done by a doctor who is familiar with your case (also, it's legally not possible that we tell you what to do in an online setting). We can only give you some general information: 1. Babies often turn in the very last moment! Like, we had babies who turned ON THE DAY of the C-section. That was in week 40... 2. Delivering a breech baby is possible via a normal delivery. However, it is (normally) going to take MUCH longer, simply because the baby is not in a good position. 3. Because of the breech presentation, there are various risks involved. The biggest concern is probably what is called a "cord prolapse". This is - in simple terms - when the cord "comes out" first and the risk here is that it will cut off the oxygen supply to the baby. There are also risks involved for the baby (f.e. a hip instability later on - which is why it is very important to see a chiropractor for your baby after birth when you do decide to deliver your baby vaginally). And there are also risks for yourself - in terms of injuries. 4 You need to find an OB who is willing to "let you try". This can be a challenge because not all doctors are willing to "take the risk" (keep in mind that there are also liability issues involved for the OB if something goes wrong). Moreover, the hospital needs to be equipped for an emergency C-section - just in case.... In general though, as we said, it IS possible to deliver a frank breech baby, GIVEN that your doctor approves and given that the circumstances are right: f.e. your baby's head must not be very big. They are also more likely to agree to a vaginal delivery, if this is not your first pregnancy. So, this is what we can tell you - in brief. It is important to note that EVERY delivery comes with certain risks, not just a breech delivery. Moreover, it would also be wrong to assume that a C-section is riskless. And we do hope that your OB has made you aware of those risks... That said, have you already tried these exercises? kzbin.info/www/bejne/m17OmWmkrayeec0 We really hope this helps you!! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi there Stacey 😊, yes, this is a phenomenon that we do observe! And it has also been confirmed in scientific studies. If I remember correctly, the probabilities were 10-4. So this means: If your first baby WAS breech, you have a 10% chance of another breech baby during your second pregnancy. And if your second one was breech too, then you have a 25% chance of another breech baby during your third pregnancy. Compared to that, the probability is by far not that high, if your first and second baby was not breech. Of course, this is only statistics. But it IS something we observe.... Hi there 😊, please don't worry at all at this point! 29 weeks is way too early to be concerned about a breech presentation! Most likely, your baby will turn all by themselves! That said, there are ways to support baby turning head down: As long as a woman is less than 34 weeks pregnant, we have found that an exercise called "pelvic rocking" on a birthing ball is the most effective tool to turn a breech baby. We explain how this approach works in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m17OmWmkrayeec0 We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi there 😊, in short, this means: everything is alright and your baby is breech with baby's spine being in parallel to your own spine. 😊 We don't know which pregnancy week you are in, but unless you are 35+ weeks pregnant, you don't really need to worry, as babies turn all the time. But just for your information: As long as a woman is less than 34 weeks pregnant, we have found that an exercise called "pelvic rocking" on a birthing ball is the most effective tool to turn a breech baby.
