What Comes Next? Final Fantasy VII Rebirth DLC? Final Fantasy IX Remake? Kingdom Hearts 4?

Today I'm taking a look at what comes next for Square Enix and speculating a little bit about the possibilities!

For VII dlc, I could see them showing some of Vincent and Cid's exploits during chapter 13. A look into the nature of Chaos and how it may restrain Vincent's words and actions? Maybe the two of them also get temple trialed. What about some cutscenes elsewhere? Three characters with tremendous room for development are Scarlet, Heidegger, and Palmer. Could Scarlet threaten Cissnei for Gongaga? We know from BC that she hates the Turks. What about odd alternative gameplay with a Turk? In Remake we got traces of Deepground. What about old Avalanche. Is Elfe quietly out of the picture, living happily with her powers gone, or does she have wisdom to share?

A tactics remaster on Steam would have been amazing. They can literally just port War of the lions and address multiplayer mode and people would be happy... It also wouldn't be a risk in comparison to AAA budgets. They are crazy not to

I don’t think we are getting a dlc. Plus they said we will get pt 3 faster if there is no dlc. But if there was I think playing Vincent’s backstory would be a good dlc. When he was a Turk up to the point he becomes the Vincent that sleeps in the coffin

I do hope that this Rebirth DLC will let us play as Vincent.

Maybe Vincent and Cid's play debut will be their own temple trials if they had done a little exploring while the party went deeper towards the Black Materia.

I would only need DLC for Rebirth IF it covers Deepground stuff, i thought for sure it would have some role in Rebirth but NOTHING.

At this point I'd just love a DoC remake because I feel like Vincent didn't get any real meat in Rebirth, we've had Yuffie DLC, Reeve got more focus in Rebirth and we brought in Weiss and Nero early.

I don't know about a dlc, but the more I see about young Sephiroth and the first SOLDIER storyline, the more I think a game about that with Rebirth game mechanics might've been better than a remake trilogy with multiverse shenanigans. 😅

I'd love to see a fully explorable Rocket Town region DLC which could still take place within Rebirth just like the OG. Kinda fits in between their departure from the Nibel Region Airstrip to them crashing into the river enroute to Costa del Sol. And narratively, it fits as perhaps the Bronco still sustained damage when they escaped Rocket Town, though Palmer getting hit by a truck should be included in the main game (Part 3). Lucrecia's Cave will also be in the area which will give us more into Vincent's backstory, however, that may spoil how vague Vincent was on details during the Shinra Manor sidequest involving Hojo's Combat Simulator, etc, so maybe the Cave could be locked out saving the story for Part 3 (something like Fort Condor). As for Vincent, what if there was Cid combat as well which could involve an INTERmission of their own set during Chapters 13 and 14? Wouldn't it be cool if they both also got Cetran weapons like the others did? And how did Cid get to the Forgotten Capital?! Yup, I think DLC will be happening but I'm open to be proven wrong!

Vincent dlc would be fire but I would rather have some prequel for Vincent dlc finishing on when waking up in the coffin

Given the lower scale of the project, if it really exists, I would think the most likely place for a Final Fantasy IX Remake to be announced would be in the upcoming Nintendo Direct. Unless! Unless Square-Enix signed an exclusivity window deal for that game as well. In which case it might show up at a later State of Play. If it really does exist, then I could see us getting an announcement trailer this year but I wouldn't expect it to release until sometime next year, given that it will be the game's 25th Anniversary.

Devs said no DLC for Rebirth. Unfortunately best FF game since like FF10 flopped :( Maybe modern world doesnt need funny and positive game. People need dark shit like Soulsbourne or FF16.

Honestly, I don't think Rebirth will have any DLC. Everything is going towards FF7 Part 3. Part 3 will have DLCs, a lot of it. Advent Children DLC< etc.

dont think it will be dlc. only other place dlc would make sense is right before they fix the plane in the plains at end of game. i feel the next FF game going to be Xbox exculsive. i think thats the real reason the 3 year exculsive statment was made

No DLC for Rebirth. Just get to part 3 so it can flop and be done and we don’t ever have to speak of it again.
