@@TomLloyd-18 I actually was curious enough to look it up. Animals (dogs specifically) will roll in the feces of other animals to disguise their scent. They made the point that it's instinctive, and not just to hunting dogs. Now, the eating of poop is a whole other deal. According to one theory, the pet is so well trained not to leave his droppings, when he sees another animal's poo, it eats it so that the owner won't punish their pet thinking it's theirs. I don't know about all that, but I do believe the theory for why they roll in it.

Hey you two, the golf game and fishing was funny to watch. But a heads up on the house your going to build. Not time to be playing. You know snow is coming. You know you will have LUMBER building supplies. You may want to build a strong , car port like shelter. 4×4 ? 7 feet out of the ground and a basic, 2x6 roof framing. It's only temporary, to rain and snow off you building stuff. Also you'll want a area for a fire pit, to warm up. When the temp drops you want dry wood to work with. It not it will be 3 times as heavy. And hard to cut. And nail.have fun later.

When it comes time to set Terry up for winter (hopefully you'll be plugged into electrical power by then), but hay bales will be your best friend, use full bales all the way around the bottom of Terry, DON'T forget to put waterline heaters on all your waterlines, it's called heat tape, just incase you're unfamiliar with it. Back to hay bales, you can use them to block wind and even on your roof if you have alot of heat loss, Also pick up an oil filled radiator for extra heat inside, they're absolutely awesome and hold heat long after they shut off. So unlike an electric heater they don't have to run constantly, plus imo they are safer and give off better heat.

Awesome! Note-Wintering in an RV is a whole different can of worms and cold! You can burn through a whole world of lp in a heartbeat. Look at alternatives to your little furnace. Look at ways to put a skirt around Terry - she is a girl after all and cold wind under her isn't fun. You need to keep your water from freezing! Look at blue flame heaters - 99.9% efficient and a dehumidifier because lp produces water, whether it's your furnace or an alternative and you'll need one regardless of your heat source. Cooking will produce a lot of moisture too. Moisture is an RV's worst enemy. Been there and done this for three years. Also snow in the mountains and a heated trailer is going to create ice on the top of Terry. She isn't designed for the load. She needs a roof/carport to keep you all safe and her roof/solar panels secure from load damage. Do your homework now before winter sets in because learning these things and having to fix them when there's 6 foot of snow coming down is going to be horrible. That all being said, it's so relaxing and fun to watch your videos. Thanks!

From experience, we lived in a Terry while building a house.There is not enough insulation in Terry or is the water system designed for winter it will freeze, that's likely how your outdoor shower broke. Single pain windows will sweat and water damage will occur on the walls. Your own seat and moisture from breathing will freeze on walls. An insulation box over the A/C will help a fraction.

So true. I've lived in Florida 16 years, only have been to Key West as part of a cruise, haven't done the gulf coast from Homosassa up, and I've only hit the highlights from Sarasota down, but my husband and I are about to spend a few nights at one of the beaches, since a friend pointed us to a resort she's been going to for years that is sparsely booked lately, and their beach is private. A couple of books, lots of sunscreen and it's be a nice break from everything.

From one ex-city girl to another, when you clean up mice 🐭 🐁 poop 💩, wear gloves 🧤. You can get a whole box of latex or nitrite gloves at Harbor Freight for about $5! Plus you can use the gloves for many other jobs when you live in the country and they are disposable! Health first!

Yes yes yes gloves for many things ...

once Terry is parked at the propperty I suggest putting an insulated porch in the summer it will help Terry stay cool in winter warm keeping both doors cclosed only having one door opened at time will stop the heatand cloed out of Terry

That's cool. My friends goats all have cool names, in my opinion. Goatle is my favorite name, though most of them have music names (we're all musicians). I love how the goats want to stick together and how they do bond with their humans.

When referring to the mammary glands of goats, cows etc... One goat has one udder which has two teats, one cow has one udder which has four teats..... The word udder is singular unless referring to multiple udders on multiple animals. Hope that helps with your dairy husbandry education 😁. Hope Eleanor's kidding goes well🐐!!

Love watching your videos. We used to have a toy box we took with the kids to the wilderness often. Be sure you pack extra 9v batteries for the carbon monoxide detector, and not just one you need 3 in case the back up doesn’t work. Keep enjoying & living.

Allie you should wear a mask when cleaning up rat poop. Breathing it in is terrible for your lungs.

Digital school started where I live: server crashed for the entire county. My new house build; I looked at it and the painters treated my house awful. Paint on my granite countertops... used my toilets- brand new when there is a porta potty outside . I am glad your video is up always puts a smile on my face :)

Sorry to the workers violated your home. Guess no one likes porta potties. Except maybe Frank.

The paint on the countertops is a huge problem! But genuine question, what is wrong with using the toilets? Isn't that what toilets are for?
@feliciamabrey41084 жыл бұрын
@@yourLittleSinner I get it when you spend on the level of a new home . That includes the cash , your time , stress , patients , lost sleep , Inspection's , late dinners , deadlines , the endless hours of looking at and for paint colors ,flooring , tile , appliances , cabinets , ect ect etc . And last but not least toilets . After all that you got to know it best be my Happy butt on that throne the first time . that would just be a right of passage in my new home world . Call me crazy but I really get it !!! LoL !!!

@@yourLittleSinner 🤔 They're for the owners and those they allow to use them. If the workers weren't given permission then they should've only used the porta-potty!!! 😬
@rachelk57204 жыл бұрын
yourLittleSinner there is a porta- potty outside for the sub contractors to use. This is a brand new home being built. One sub contractor went no 2 wiped it on the seat and floor no toilet paper. Another damaged my new tub. In new construction workers are not supposed to use toilets/tubs when there is a porta-potty outside with toilet paper and soap new construction has no soap or toilet paper. In houses.

I think baby goats are called "Kids" so there has to be a Billy the kid or kid Wichita. Any gunslinger name sounds good with kid in front or behind it. You may also have a Calamity Jane or Molly Brown in there to!

I’m concerned about your trailer being winterized for the winter in those mountains there. Trailers were never built for those kinds of conditions. You’ve had a few suggestions on this post that might do the trick. The cover for a terry and the tiny wood burning stove sounds like good choices and of coarse the “skirt” around the bottom of the trailer, Good luck with that. It’s close too moving on the mountain. I’m excited for you guys.

I wish we could attach a photo, but we keep our water jugs on a cinderblock laid horizontal not vertical. So it’s high enough to keep out the dirt but low enough for them to reach. Some of our younger ones stretch their neck to reach but they’re birds and can do it. Plus they will grow and fully reach the water. Consider a cinder or cement block laid horizontal. We are going to look into your feeder pipes! Great idea!
