Came from reddit, I'm the guy making the Soulsborne and depression podcast and you shared this link on one of my posts. Life got busy so I kind of forgot about it, but I just watched/listened to it and really enjoyed it! Just realized maybe solaire wants to be a dad. Hes middle aged and hes an older prince right? He references the sun as being like a father and he wishes he could be the same. The sun is also the masculine. Plus the overly obvious sun/son.
