Honestly some peoples eyes just randomly change over time. In 3rd grade I was 20/20in one eye, and the other my prescription contact (yes I was wearing ONE contact in 3rd grade lol) was -1.5. In middleschool, my good eye got worse and my bad eye stayed the same, and both my eyes were -1.5. In high-school both eyes went to -2.25. I've had that same prescription for ten years now. They haven't gotten worse, even though I spend a good 75% of the day on my phone or computer. The technology didn't make my eyesight any worse. In middle and highschool I didn't even have a smart phone or PC, but my eyesight still got worse because my body was growing and that caused the shape of my eyes to change over time. Thats all. If you're still in school, you're probably still growing, thats why your eyes changed. I highly doubt online school did that

I can start to see blur past 1 foot... Using my phone is fine at normal distances but watching TV is impossible without glasses. The closer an object is. The better I see its details. The further an object is, the blurrier it is but like proper blur. The type of blur you add in photoshop called guassian blur.

I feel like I’m the only one that actually has to wear shitty glasses all my life 24/7 I have really really bad astigmatism and everything is completely blurry 😭I wish I could see normally

I hate wearing glasses I look so bad in them my eye doctor says I shouldn’t wear contacts yet because I’m only 11 but I hate my glasses so much and I have to patch and it’s so blurry and annoying I also wish I could see normal

20/1400. Contacts are -9.5 plus major astigmatism. Sometimes my right eye just quits if stressed...too much reading, a long drive, etc.

Not quite sure why this video was so short they could of done a lot more with it, but my vision before lasik was 20/200 They had to show lines and ask which direction they were going on the vision test I couldn't see the big A... I got lasik and could see like an eagle, better then ever in my life, I could see 20/15. Then a few years later I had to get correction again. So don't get lasik if you are in early 20's your vision may still change causing you to have to get glasses again ( just like if you were to need a increase in prescription. And you may not be able to get " top up" on lasik because there isn't enough material in your eye to remove to make it perfect again.

I have 20/25 in right eye and 20/400 vision in left eye before eye surgeries i had 20/35 in right eye and 20/225 in left eye im 15 years old but i did surgeries because i had keratokonus so there was no way of stopping its progress exept surgery.naw i have to wait age 21 and my vision gets after surgery 20/20 in right eye and in left eye my vision gets 20/40.

I'm legally blind as I'm 20/200 in my right, along with tunnel vision (glasses only keep me stable, they don't correct my vision unfortunately), and totally blind in my left eye, so, yeah I'm up there in blindness alittle bit. So when I use something like my phone, I use a special accessibility feature called "TalkBack" which is the Android built in screenreader. I'm heavily auditorial due to my legal blindness, and I have ROP as I'm a 26 weeker, I'm 28 now.

@@QwkSA I already had laser surgery as a infant but it failed in the end, I had a total of 3 surgeries as an infant in the NICU but I still came out legally blind.

Hey melissa i think you should go for icl ( implantable collamer lenses ) they are expensive but ig they're worth it and lifelong unless u get cataract and can them implanted again after successful cataract surgery.

@@nichhlmao5731 My left eye even if I where to implant it, I still wouldn't see. But I bet I might be able to wear a device someday that is like a wearible magnifier, which would help in reading alot. I appreciate the ideas though. Granted medical science is always advancing year by year. heck if you know Star Trek there's real medical tricorders coming out or in the works. which is amazing. However I bet in the future, future legally blind kids might be able to get a ocular implant or eye transplant.

I had 20/15 vision after lasik for a short time, it is incredible, see like an eagle. Not anymore though, now im 20/60 after about 10 years.

I’m a -1.5 in both eyes, probably 20/80 VA. That was at my last eye appointment a few months ago at least, but my prescription doubled from my first appointment to the next one under a year later so it may not be accurate now. Either way i can’t even see a T.V. That’s a few feet away from me. Just this morning my brother tried showing me something on his phone a few feet away and then laughed when he remembered i couldn’t see anything but the bright colors 😅

If you have -1.5 that means you have 20/30 vision and not 20/80.people who have 20/80 vision that means they have -4.00

Gotcha. They must have told me wrong then because the first time when i was -.75 they said it was 20/50 so I was kind of going off of that. All I know is I can’t see lol 😂

The DMV requires 20/70, 20/40, and 20/40 both eyes open.

You can have up to around 20/800 and glasses will still correct down to 20/40 but once you get 20/1000+ glasses stop working, that’s when ur actually legally blind

20/2100 and 20/2400 without glasses. Something has to be within about four-inches of my eye for me to see it clearly, but no closer than two-inches---without glasses. Everything beyond that about 60i with a broken de-interlacer. :sigh: Luckily corrective lenses get me close enough to proper vision that I can live mostly normal, after I put my glasses on in morning at least. That's, of course, assuming that I didn't knock them off the nightstand while feeling around for them and then step on them as I get of bed to retrieve them, in which case, the world is more fragmented. Depth perception still sucks though.

Didn't do me any favors in high school either and let's not talk about middle school…. Could be worse though, could be blind, so I'm happy with what I've got, even if others have it better.
