He looked up his father so much and he loves him that made him question why everyone he loves betrayed him. So killed his 2 friends. I think he suspects that they have a relationship, he killed versace because he is someone he looked up to. I don't think his family would have accepted his homosexuality like the video said. Both of his parents denied his homosexuality even after all of the evidence presented. Also, his father may have physically beat his mother, and most likely emotionally abused her when it came to raising Andrew, so they weren't a "happy family." It's interesting to see how his background also played a role in his horrendous actions. His victims did not deserve it.

My dad is kinda weak and my mother sometimes overbearing, but I tried my best to just sit back and chill despite having few friends in school. I've always had high empathy and always tried to self examine. If one or two things had been different, I kind of gone down that road. Definitely see he was a bit spoiled as a kid and an attention seeker and pretty much couldn't cope with his bubble bursting (maybe also abandonment issues with his father just running away after the arrest). I think he was desperate to get that bubble back. He couldn't be spoiled anymore (he lost his cash cow and was loosing his looks) so he grabbed onto the attention seeking. And what better way to get attention than killing a bunch of people across the country and then end it with a famous person?
