Having read The Death of Elvis from the PDF link you shared. I see what happened with him in an entirely new light. No, she didn't die like her Dad. Elvis wasn't destined to die young. The cover-up around his death, and his medication use, is amazing to read about. One couldn't take the level of meds he took to not impact his body in a negative way. The ending - the possibility that he made a mistake with what he took - Codeine - but still he was tempting fate all the time.

Thank you for that post because I read "Destined To Die Young" twice and found it be a bunch of nonsense about first cousins whose children were genetically flawed humans, Gladys Presley being one of them who passed all of her screwed up genetics to Elvis. Sally Hoedel was poised to write a book exploiting Lisa's death and I hope she doesn't bother.

@@debra2700 What's difficult to know is that unfortunately, it doesn't appear the author, Hoedel, researched as deeply as she should have. Reading The Death of Elvis, it seems some of the things she drew upon to conclude the genetic tragedy just weren't present in Elvis when he died. In fact, some of what she shared was rumor at best. The drug use - when he pushed it too far, did him in it seems.

In fairness, while I read part of the book when it came out, I never finished it. BUT I found a lot of assumptions were taken. That book may be right, but like most things about Elvis, it felt like the person wanted him to fit a specific narrative. That long been an issue for me in the "let me tell you the truth about Elvis" world!!! For a country boy, he sure was a complicated man, with many complicated situations in his life. None moreso than his health. Heck, one of my motivations in life is to live long enough to see his autopsy released. They say we got all pertinent info at Dr. Nick's trial, but if that was the case, why is it still under seal that they sought to have extended? I will not close my mind to any option until I read that document!!!

Elvis didn't have a normal life. He was dedicated to his fans. He needed pills for sleeping, waking up, all kind of drugs for all kind of situations or to make him feel good for his fans. A lot of entertainers take drugs of all kind. Subject to serious health issues and even death. Beside, I understand a lot of his relatives died young. So it is unfortunate that the cause of his death was caused by drugs and heart condition. I guess it was his destiny. He lived for the fans not for himself. Never the less he was a huge entertainer and living the life he wanted.

Thanks for your input into the deaths of a father and his daughter, two precious people, Elvis and Lisa Marie Presley. It bothers me that Lisa Marie could have lived if she had gotten medical attention. She may have felt too ill to agree to go to the hospital, thinking if she just got some rest she’d feel better tomorrow. And David, when it comes down to Elvis and some of the other excuses you came by, like Elvis being inbred?, that’s too inappropriate to repeat. It is what it is. As fans none of us want to believe things were as bad as they were. I will remember that beautiful voice and that heartbreakingly handsome face and all my favorite songs, movies and shows. I’ll always think of Lisa Marie as that beautiful little girl whose daddy loved her so much. They are gone but never to be forgotten….❤️🙏

David was referring to the book Destined To Die Young where the author Sally Hoedel tries to paint the scenario that because Bob and Doll Smith were first cousins, their children were genetically doomed "inbreds" and that's what killed both Gladys and Elvis. Blame the author of the book for that word and not David who actually reviewed the book and found it to not be credible. When he did so, the author Sally Hoedel attacked him and even laughed at him working at Kroger. David does great work here and his love of Elvis is unwavering.

I don’t think either of their bowel problems were a direct result from the drugs. Lisa has said herself that bowel issues was ‘Presley problem’. I’m sure the opioids didn’t help with constipation but it wasn’t the cause of it…in my opinion.

The only 2 things about Elvis' and Lisa Marie's deaths that are similar, imo, is that they were both alone when the crisis (arrhythmia or heart attack) struck, and they both probably didn't realize how close to death they were prior to the "attack". In Elvis' case, had he gotten immediate attention, it is not known if he would have survived. In Lisa's case, she did get help quickly, but it didn't save her. I imagine one reason they both resisted seeking medical help, other than not realizing how dire their situations were, is that each felt that they had something they needed to do. Elvis had tour dates, and Lisa Marie was probably determined to attend the awards show, to honor her dad, and to support Austin. Also, both Elvis and Lisa Marie knew that any hospital visit they made would result in an invasion of their privacy, rumors and inuendos would circulate, and that they would be on the front page of the gossip tabloids. So, I'm sure that made them reluctant to seek medical attention during their difficulties. Both were sad situations that were a combination of their lifestyles, personal decisions, and inherited health issues may have been a complicating factor. But, it has been shown through the autopsies that they definitely did not die the same way, and of the same cause.

Pain means there's something going on & the Dr should not have given her any pain meds until she came in and had x-rays or something....but because of who she is she got her hands on opioids... Which is dand near impossible these days to get from a Dr. Elvis was human.... What happened to him is tragic. 😢 Thank you for your videos. ❤

They said Elvis got his drugs in packets. Who prescribed him a drug they knew he was allergic to? But he wasn't covered in hives, so who knows. Drug allergies show in more than one way. I do believe he died in that bathroom due to staining which gave him a heart atrack. It happens but not often. His heart couldnt have been heslthy. Lisa died of a heart attack. That's the sameness of their deaths people are talking about. Too young too. My schooling is drug and alcoholism counseling. The man also had to take prednisone for inflammation. Also in his death records. That's what blew up his face, neck and stomach. The opioids would have made his stomach like rock to the touch and yes very constipated. If you take prednisone long term, you don't lose the swelling. Swelling didn't kill him. Elvis was an addict for whatever reason. God rest his beautiful soul. I wish we could all let him rest in peace. All he ever did is give us joy. Still does. Too bad he couldn't give himself half the love he gave the fans. I looked at him on TV in 1977 and screamed.... What did you do to yourself......But i never walked a mile in his shoes. 😥

David, one doesn't have to be on Opiods or any drug for that matter, to get constipated. Peanut butter causes constipation in me and many others. So does bread. If one strains hard while using the bathroom , it can cause a massive heart attack. I use alot of EVOO in my diet.I also drink alot of water. I also take stool softners like Dulculax at times. Propping one foot up high helps relax the muscles so one doesn't have to strain. Now I know Elvis took medications to sleep and to keep going so he could keep performing for his fans and you're right those drugs do contribute to constipation, if one over uses them. A swollen Colon, Diverticulosis, bad gut health among other health issues also make one constipated. Alot of times all of these health issues are inherited. I wonder how many of Elvis's older family members died from the same thing as he.. I know for a fact I inherited these health issues from some aunts and uncles. My half brother, son, daughter and a grandson suffer from the same health issues and none of us take Opiods. My son has already had 3 heart attacks..he never knew he'd had. He ended up in the floor once for straining so hard. I am constantly pushing EVOO and WATER on all of them. It's a gene thing..believe me David. I don't lie.. When I was diagnosed after my mama passed I was told my problems were mostly caused by stress. Diverticulosis is caused mostly by stress. To which I responded...no doubt ! With Lisa Marie she had a bowel obstruction due in part to mostly scar tissue from Bariatric surgery. There's always a chance for scar tissue with any operation, be it removal of one's appendix , a C section or a feeding tube,Bariatric surgery, etc. Any and all causes scar tissue. If scar tissue is removed..over time it grows back 10 times worse.. One can't outrun scar tissue and yes it is the most common cause of bowel obstruction . Lisa chose to cover up her pain with meds that only made it worse and eventually took her life. If she had seen a Surgeon and had scar tissue removed..she may have lived a little longer. Only God can answer that one. My only daughter Lisa has alot of scar tissue due in part to a botched C section.. She had alot of scar tissue removed yrs ago because it was completely wrapped around her bowels. Now it's grown back tremendously. My daughter also has Epilepsy and Hemacromotosis ... from a gene she inherited from me.. :( I pray for her constantly and my son, brother and grandson as well.Bless you David 🙏

Lisa told a story on video of when she was a kid, she had a birthday party and Aunt Delta walked in and asked if she'd had a bowel movement that day.. she got embarrassed and ran to her room. It wasn't just the meds, which made it way worse.. but it was a known family problem all along... young, old, drug use or not. If I'm a Dr.. she isn't a candidate for that surgery, and it should've never been done. It is for the morbidly obese. I wouldn't mess with her digestive system for nothing!!

GMTA I referred to this story in an earlier post here today. It was one of the Oprah interviews and pretty easy to find here. As for not being a candidate, I have thoughts. I've worked with many pretty famous people....as in if I posted their names, everyone here would know them. I heard the same thing from many of them. No matter how stupid an idea they had, or how bad their choices were, people would go along with it and do what they wanted. Ironically, most hated it. I recall one time I told a client what a bad idea something was. He got tears in his eyes. This was one of the best know sports figures of all time. I looked confused. He walked away. Later, when he composed himself, he told me it was the first time someone had challenged him in longer than he could recall. And he thanked me and asked me to promise I would always speak my mind. I assured him that would never be a problem LOL. But the point is, famous people get what they want, either by people wanting to be close to them, or simply buying it.

I think she remained traumatized by all those pics of her compared her to "Fat Elvis" and going down that path when the poor woman was pregnant with twins, no less! Whatever MD did that to her should be held accountable...but they won't be. If anything they should have referred her to a shrink. Although even though she left Scientology, takes a long time for the ex's to be open to it, from what I've heard. The truly sad thing is she FINALLY appeared to be be standing up as the face of Elvis (well publicly...she had his actual face her entire life lol), Graceland, and all she should have been. I had hoped for years she would do that, and push his ex wife out of the paid spokeswoman roles she held for decades!!!

I agree that as the 70s came into view, it was both a blessing and a curse professionally as the 60s film conveyer belt was left behind. Early 70s Elvis had changed again seemingly for the better appearance wise and enjoyed being back on stage. It was becoming apparent that as the decade wore on, his shows became the career conveyer belt. Unfortunately as we know, being on the road fulfilling contracts and being addicted to the thrill of the audience necessitates assistance to keep up. All types of assistance is on the table for Rock stars, for Elvis it was uppers and downers. Combined with a growing lack of motivation to be the best of Elvis we fans adored, this is a heady combination that our star could not sustain. We all miss him like a favourite brother.

It was a little bit like Elvis. People often overlook his chronic health issues. It is thought he was straining on the toilet, which has medically been proven to sometimes cause heart attacks. Fact is, for all the dissecting of his autopsy, to this day there has never been one clear form of death. Some think it's one thing, others say another. Like Elvis, so much remains a mystery. I recall in the Oprah interview w/Lisa at Graceland she told a funny story of being asked about her constipation and she mentioned "it's a chronic condition on my Dad's side of the family" or something close. While her bowel adhesions were said to come from weight loss surgery, one can't help but wonder if she had colon issues and was susceptible to more?? PS this is going to likely be TMI, but I've live in chronic pain & have taken opioids for decades. I am bedridden otherwise. While some have some constipation, it seldom effects me. And when it does there are 3 levels of meds (starting from natural oil caps) that fix that situation lol. I'm just SO over folks blaming Opioids for everything. But she was on a therapeutic does which means what an MD said is OK for her health VERSUS ABUSING!!! The only one who said she was abusing in recent years was Priscilla & I wouldn't trust her to tell me the sky is blue!

While it is true that there are some fans that have a hard time holding Elvis accountable for any of his downfalls, the opposite is also true, and some wants to hold on to the narrative of Elvis just being a drug addict, with his demise being entirely his own fault. His appearance changed so drastically and so fast, one has to at least question why he suddenly took so much more drugs. We don't know what kind of problems or pain he might have been in, or health issues out of his control, and when you're in pain, you just want it to go away. I was always health conscious and into natural stuff, I hated to take even one aspirin. Then I developed weekly migraines, non stop intense pain that lasted 24-48 hours. I tried every natural remedies but it didn't work. Normal pain killers did not work much either, but I didn't really want the hard strong prescription migraine medicine because I didn't trust drugs. Anyway, just to say that after years of regular excruciating migraines, I gave up and now take whatever it takes to bring relief, even though I hate taking that stuff, I don't care, just want the pain go away. So without knowing what Elvis was dealing with physically, I can't judge him as just a drug addict that is totally to blame for what happened to him.

Elvis LMP Veron and Gladys all died with heart problems. Opiates cause long term health problems. Elvis had undiagnosed diabetes. He also suffered an embolism. People reported Elvis complained the night before of severe knee pain so he could not sleep. LMP has a distended stomach for months. Barbituates and opiates were found in Elvis system along with opiates. After his doc was investigated after his death Elvis had been prescribed over 10 000 pills inside one year. Gladys was given sleeping pills when Elvis was in Germany to help her cope. Elvis was fit until the last ten years. He was always fit. He was addicted probably through taking opiates for pain relief. He had inflammation also. Opioid epidemic was beginning in the 60s and 70s. The doc said that Elvis knew what he was doing? He was an addict. It was not even mentioned at that time. Church of Scientology conspiracy theories with drugs back in 60s and 70s? How was he inbred? Marilyn Monroe also drug overdose. There are patterns with famous people being prescribed drugs legally. Look at Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. Hereditary problems can make people higher risk. Elvis was expected to just get back on stage. He needed pills to do it. He was masking his pain and obviously also had an obstruction also. Health issues that could have been prevented if they were given the right help. People forget that the arteries and heart are connected to other organs including the bowels. If they are blocked you need to get help or it leads to heart attack or heart failure. Even with advances in health care LMP died prematurely. Her condition could have been treated. She would have been in severe pain just like Elvis. They ignored the pain thinking a pill would help. Their health should have been checked out.

Regarding EP, and based on the evidence to date, I agree with the "coedine" theory. From the book, "The Death of Elvis" it appears that he "inadvertently" took the "coedine" tablets instead of the "dilaudid" tablets. They look very similar. Both the coedine and dilaudid tablets are small in size and marked with a 1, 2, 3, or 4 indicating strength. The only difference is that the dilaudid tablets are a "pale yellow" and the "codeine" tablets are "white" in color. Barbara Leigh (1970-1972) said that while she was with EP, he was NOT taking "downers." I agree that if Lisa would have sought medical attention for her fever (sepsis) and pain, she would be alive today. What I'm not clear about is the DNR. IF there was already a DNR in place why would the hospital insert a pacemaker in her heart. Since the pacemaker was placed in her heart, then you can only presume that the DNR wasn't signed until AFTER the procedure. So, why remove her from life support if all of the family members were not present? Something is not adding up for me. Thoughts??

I don't usually do this but IF you really want to know what happened to Elvis and what killed him read "Destined To Die Young" by Sally A Hodel. A lot of time and effort was spent in writing this book and I found it very detailed and factual. Elvis was a very sick person and had illnesses that the general public would never know about.

I simply love your posts. You discredit the rumors using facts instead of sensationalizing them. Elvis may have self-medicated but you have to remember that at that time doctors were not aware about over-medicating or the dependency resulted. Betty Ford brought this issue to the public. Elvis did suffer from insomnia hence the downers, but eventually the dosage increases as the effectiveness decreases. As you stated their deaths were not similar but both left us before their time.

Definitely enjoyed listening to you talk about this subject. A little about Elvis’s health history and Lisa Marie’s health issues. Glad to have heard a little about their conditions, as well as what was going inside their bodies. I had noticed before when I was looking at Elvis when he was in Hawaii that his arms and legs did not appear to be overweight, just his midsection. Lisa Marie I never seen her being overweight except that one photo of her in the grocery store, probably before she even had the gastric bypass surgery. And truthfully I didn’t even know if that was photo was really was Lisa Marie or if the picture of her was photo shopped. Now I can see why she had the bypass surgery.😢. But those future complications of the gastric bypass surgery are not a definitive complication. So it is unfortunate that she developed the small bowel obstruction which caused her death. Thank you for all this information that is keeping us updated on the truth of the matter!

@@ElvisistheMan_ I actually answered that in a post above. I think there is a bit of a connection because she had known bowel/constipation issues that she inherited from her Dad (from her own mouth). Two days after her sons birth I took her back to hospital because her appendix were infected . Another Dr was there and her OBGYN said..you're not cutting on my patient. I told my daughter it's her body ..do what she had to do to live.. the infection was getting worse and the other Dr removed her Apendix. She had to have scar tissue removed yrs later because it was causing a bowel obstruction.. After the birth of her son..she was never able to carry a baby past 5 weeks. She lost twins twice and another was ectopic. Today the scar tissue is wrapped around her bowels again. No she doesn't take Opiods. It's my understanding that Elvis had a "Mega Colon" not a twisted colon. The colon was impacted with feces. I'm sure his digestive issues was why Gladys stuffed his face with banana sandwiches, that's like the brat diet. If you are not familiar with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome read about it. I'm very familiar with EDS because I live with the connective tissue disease. 🦓 I feel very sure that Elvis Presley along with his daughter and three of his grandchildren have connective tissue issues. Scar tissue is a big problem with EDS and surgery. You could explore the book by Dr Forrest Tennant who has copies of Elvis autopsy. Along with Howard Hughes. Ppl with EDS do not metabolize rx like norms. We do not uptake, distribute or detox like a norm. We typically are allergic to penicillin and Codeine. 👍🏻 There are many performers with EDS.... THAT'S THE VOCAL RANGE! As a zebra 🦓 it's not hard for me to see it! I have pictures on my Facebook albums showing many Lisa Marie EDS symptoms. Fly High!!!!!! I❤️ EP 🦓

Please keep in mind that, when one is speaking about opioid induced constipation/slow transit constipation, this is in reference to the colon, which is the large intestine. One of the primary functions of the colon is to absorb water from stool, and to get the stool ready for elimination. When the motility of the colon is slowed, then the stool is not moving along its intended path, more water than normal is absorbed from the stool, and things just get backed up. This is what Elvis had. Lisa was most likely dealing with constipation as well, as she was also on opiates. That is a common and expected, although not universal, side effect of opiate use. However, Lisa’s death was not caused by constipation. Her bowel obstruction was in the small intestine, where one of the primary functions is to digest food and absorb nutrients. Lisa’s small intestine blockage was not caused by stool/constipation, but was simply related to scar tissue, which also likely resulted in compromise of the blood supply to a section of her small bowel, causing that section to die. Unless such a situation is dealt with urgently, one assumes room temperature fairly quickly.

Elvis and Lisa have daughters and granddaughters, I am sure this is hurtful for them. I know they were public figures, but I think we should afford them some dignity in death and concentrate on the positive aspects of their lives - of which there were many.

You will see big stars that were on drugs their whole life and their features didn't change, they did look old and daggered but, like Charlie Hodge said, Elvis was taking medicines for Liver disease and hardening of the arteries, glaucoma, all just like his mother. She died at 46 and her 2 brothers died in their 40's. I still think that Elvis did have the Alpha 1 gene, because his mothers parents were first cousins. I believe like Sally Hodell that Elvis, given his heredity would have died fairly young whether the drugs or not.

I wonder still wondering why Elvis did not have his private nurse giving him his tablets at night & looking after him? I still don't get it why Ginger was not checking on Elvis as she knew he was sick. The whole 'gang' should of been making sure he was okay. Fancy Elvis was dead hours before Ginger found him.

He did have the nurse giving him prescribed packets of meds. If pkt 1 wasn't enough she gave him a 2nd pkt. The day he died he even got a 3rd pkt. The private nurse had a job at Dr. Nick's office and went to work in the morning. Ginger was out of it herself that night/morning, as she had menstrual cramps and the nurse gave her a Dilaudid tablet. Dilaudid is pretty heavy-duty for someone who is opiod naive, Ginger fell asleep. The rest of "the gang", on duty that day-- the Stanley brothers, one took off early, the other showed up too late. Dr. Nick writes in his book the Stanley bros. were partying in a motel with women and Dilaudid themselves. (Dr. Nick's son Dean worked for Elvis too.) I suspect the Stanley bros. took the Dilaudid that had been prescribed for Elvis by Dr. Nick, Elvis got frustrated and took more codeine than he should have. And I'm going to dare say it, I suspect Vernon and the Memphis Mafia were not only covering up Elvis' drug use but covering for the Stanley brothers too.

You are 100% RIGHT. The side effects of opioids caused those issues. Your observations of Elvis' appearance being overweight but not fat and flabby are what I always thought. He was bloated not flabby fat. It explains his tummy bulge caused by his bowel as mentioned. My brother and I used to discuss this. Opioid abuse IS the cause. Great work on this segment. My Doctor told me to only take Codiene Forte strictly as directed after my back surgery and I kept it to a minimum. Constipation is a major side effect. Being in my 60s now, I don't need untarnished hero worship.... Regarding today's topic, certainly you have the right to cover any issue (it's your channel), but since youre inviting feedback, I personally don't care for the subject matter. I do not see where covering this topic will do anything other than perpetuate the stigma elvis already has. I'll concede it's certainly reasonable to speculate he had an addiction to the prescribed meds, there are lots of theories & books out there that might delve beyond what can be known. I'm getting a vibe of many folks to accept these sources as gospel. Good segue to mention columny &/or detraction are considered sinful, so since we don't 'know' I prefer to let elvis' memory rest. It's simply not necessary to know these things. But of course, it's your right to cover them.

I agree with your second theory, he was pushing so hard due to the constipation (caused mostly by the pills) it messed up his blood pressure and caused the cardiac arrest. Seems common sense to me. Especially since he was on the toilet. (He could have OD anywhere at anytime.) He took codeine often, even though he was allergic he only ever had mild reactions, so I'm not convinced that caused him to OD even with the amount in his system. But hey, each to their own opinion 🤷‍♀️👍

People say he couldn’t of overdosed because overdosing isn’t a quick death, but, Elvis lived a while after his initial shock! Elvis always carried around EpiPen in case he had an allergic episode. He didn’t have one at his side this time. Just my theory but it’s a pretty plausible one. Never been into the straining stool theory. Seems a little far-fetched But who knows? I think it was a combination of factors. I think Elvis had some problems that he could only keep at bay with medications. I am also thinking of the insomnia problem that he has always had to fight with the use of sleeping pills. If I sleep 2 hours less at night, the next day I'm a rag and do an office job. Imagine Elvis with his busy schedule. The Vegas routine was so tight (2 concerts a day, rehearsals and crazy sleeping rhythms) that it required the use of sleeping pills and amphetamines. The latter gave energy and he could not give them up for what he had to manage. However, the heavy use of drugs has compromised his physique or accentuated problems already underway. Personally I found Hoedel' s book interesting but I don't consider it the only possibility. Elvis always believed he could handle everything and relied on doctors without thinking that even prescriptions drugs were addictive.

He says it was revealed Elvis had 3 heart attacks that no one was aware of. Hard to say if it was nature vs nurture. The Harvard study on genetics points to a higher percentage than 10% on genetic attributed diseases. Having a higher case of genetic probability would not mean from first cousins as you have noted. Specific and rare diseases have an even higher genetic probability as coming from a person's family though. No doubt Elvis could have probably lived longer had the pharmaceuticals not been present and not "destined" to die.

And in Ginger's book, she said he was really stressed that he was having a hard time falling asleep. So, he called and asked for a second packet of pills to be sent up. He just wanted to be able to sleep. As someone who has a hard time sleeping, I tell you, it can be torturous not to be able to fall asleep. If Ginger is correct in what happened his overdose caused the heart attack. Lisa's friends are shocked that she had the surgery, and wonder what doctor did that to her.

Elvis did not die of an overdose. The drugs in his system were at therapeutic levels, except for codeine. A drug death is long and slow, but Elvis died suddenly and quickly. This was proven long ago. A death from an OD is not anything like his death. Ginger doesn't know what she's talking about if that's what she said, because the packets were carefully measured and there was no danger of ingesting too much. An OD death is completely different, and the autopsy showed it wasn't that.

It certainly makes you wonder about the genetic issues between Gladys, Elvis and Lisa-Marie. There was also 3 uncles that passed in a similar scenarios (all heart related) My limited knowledge points to shared medical issues between them. 1. ADDICTION Gladys - Alcohol. Elvis - over prescribed medications. Lisa-Marie - Opioids 2. HEART PROBLEMS: All of them passed away due to 'cardiac arrest' by the coroner. Gladys's heart was compromised by liver damage and alcohol. Elvis had an enlarged heart as well as liver damage 3. INTESTINAL ISSUES: Elvis had a compacted colon and Lisa-Marie had a small bowel blockage. There is no info on Gladys other than other than her weight and liver problems. 4. WEIGHT ISSUES Both Gladys & Elvis loved eating southern fried food. Gladys gained weight from both the fried foods combined with alcohol. Elvis's weight gain was also food related, combined with prescribed medications, the steroids caused him to bloat alongside his blocked colon so technically not over weight. I never considered Lisa-Marie as overweight, or that she had bariatric surgery. 5. GRIEF & DEPRESSION Gladys: Stillbirth of Jesse Garon Elvis: Gladys passing away Lisa-Marie: losing her son Benjamin to suicide #elvistheman You're very much correct that if she had sought medical assistance that day, Lisa-Marie would still be here with her daughters.

He only had mild reactions to codeine, mainly itchy skin. It was the dentist he saw the night before he died who gave him the codeine, and Elvis knew the reaction it caused. There is some speculation that he (Elvis) might have made a mistake and taken too much of it, because it looked just like one of his prescribed meds that he was used to taking, and the two pills could be easily confused.

What about Elvis being allergic by eating chocolates. And after eating the chocolates he would start to swell. His whole body and face would swell. I don't know how true this is. But there was a TV Movie about Elvis. Ànd they had that part in the movie, where Elvis was eating some chocolates and then his face started to swell.

Thank you for trying to shed a light on both of them. The cousin's theory is utterly ridiculous. I know a bit about dna and pedigree collapse ( occasional close cousin relationships ) and endogamy ( that happens in certain populations such as Ashkenazi Jewish people ). The main thing I wanted to thank you for is talking about how swollen he looked. In fact, he looked so swollen ( even at certain times before his stomach bloated his face appeared a bit swollen ), at one point I thought he may have had kidney disease. When you watch footage of him during that time, he looked sick. His face was not naturally fat, it was swollen and so were his eyes and naturally his stomach. I am not saying that he didn't become a bit overweight from a slowed metabolism and age, but he just looked sick on top of it.

How does a bowel obstruction lead to an acute heart attack or failure - what is the patho-physiology of that? It doesn't add up. If she died of heart failure secondary to bowel issues, then her death would still be classified from heart failure. Were the toxicology results released?

I haven’t done a deep search to find everything, but I know they did say that there were therapeutic levels about opioids in her bloodstream. She was complaining of pain as well as fevers and nausea which could mean that her bowels for me and she had an infection. A deadly infection

Some people have been saying that Elvis had bone cancer, what's your view on that?

It was proven in his autopsy that he had no trace of cancer. Charlie Hodge spread that lie, and it keeps popping up. It isn't true.

I've read it all and it's just hard to know. But I tend to think Elvis' death was due to a heart attack caused by heart disease and drug use caused by an autoimmune disease which was sparked by a brain injury. (Ie. That major fall giving him a concussion in 1967, I believe) Either way, his was a tough life, & I don't condone them, but what a super high he must have been on following a concert so no wonder he needed the sleeping pills and then something to wake up, a vicious cycle, in and of itself, alone. While that craziness could have been avoided with one show per day or every other. When it definitely pisses me off knowing Elvis could have gotten 5 million for one show in front of the Pyramids and 1-3 million per show in England and Japan, etc. I know what Sonny says about not doing it because of the pills and guns, but I agree with Lamar. If after Aloha the Colonel hooked Elvis up with one of the aforementioned type deals he would have stepped off that plane looking like a million dollars and the pills, etc., would have been in check. Hence, I definitely believe creative disappointment led to at least a certain degree of that drub abuse.

I agree with that. He needed a challenge and when given one, he always came through with flying colors.

When I took pain meds I found something that cured the constipation. A friend told me about a tea that I would drink every night before bed and it was great cuz every morning I went to the bathroom and no problems. If you want more info let me know.

It also happens when you have auto immune disease, either diarrhea or constipation from lack of bile - jerusalem artichoke or bile salts - digestive enzymes, change your diet - liver is malfunctioning

Elvis was on oral and injected corticosteroids as well. Corticosteroids can cause puffiness, bone loss, fat between the shoulders, muscle wasting and fat on the trunk area of the body. Elvis might have had Cushing's Syndrome from corticosteroids. These steroids are the opposite of anabolic steroids. Anabolic steroids are known to cause lean muscles. Opioids taken chronically can cause megacolon. Great channel.

Not that it would have helped much because he took so many different meds, but he needed to drink a lot more water. Nowadays he would be advised to take probiotics. There are several means to counteract the constipation that opioids cause that they probably just didn't have back then.
