Have had my 2021 Corolla se cvt for a year + and I love it. Manual mode bump shifting and paddles as well as Sport mode is a lot of fun. Love the multi color flaked blue print blue paint and am looking forward to buying some mods, the Rolla handles great on the curves and gets lots of compliments stock. Looking forward to the mods for head turning compliments now, thx Toyota. Happy first time new car owner !! :)

I just got the new Corolla, se model and I had no problems so far. It’s really amazing especially when you drive it. Barely any noise, doesn’t move much when there are lots of bumps and smooth ride and turns. Really impressive and I had a Honda Civic 2018 model. So it’s a really good car. I’m in love with my Toyota and it looks really cool the exterior part

@@blenyirga4919 My 2022 SE was 24,901. But, I added the tint & floor mats, which brought it to 25, 800. Plus tax. The phenomenal part right now, is the huge trade in value which is what made me get a new & upgraded Corolla now. They gave me 10,400. For my 2016 Corolla L that i bought in 2015 for 18,000. That trade in value was huuuuuuge for me That’s how I got my upgrade to an SE. I absolutely love my 2022 SE. (They’d got wiggle room to give you more on your trade in) That’s where their flex is. I hope you get the one you want asap, my friend. 😊

I love my 2022 Corolla! The 1.8 engine has sufficient power 95% of the time and gas mileage is great. If you are entering a busy highway on an incline, you may have to brake or wait, but the majority of the time, car feels great! Feels like a quality car!

Why do you have to brake? You just to have to ramp up to 60-65 miles/hr while merging which is easily possible in a corolla.

I just bought the 2022 LE model (1.8 liter) Primary use is commuting to work weekly and home on the weekends (270 miles one way). At work I drive company vehicle around the region and at home I drive my wife’s 2021 RAV 4 XSE. Just a to and from car for the highway to save me at the pump ! I think it will do nicely ;) I swapped from a 2008 Nissan Frontier V6 that was getting me 16 mpg.

Do they make the 2022 LE with a 2.0 liter engine?
@bfitnessjoe

No. LE = 1.8 liter , SE = 2.0 liter. I opted for the 1.8 as I tend to like smaller engines in smaller chassis vehicles. I loved my old 3 cylinder Geo Metro :). Used to fill up with 7 dollars

I’ve got a 2020 1.8l LE. I got a great deal right before the market went nuts, purchased cpo with under 2k miles for 18.5k. Got some oem 2019 16” hatch wheels and run the stock Firestone’s on those, mounted toyo snow tires to the steelies. I’ve put about 20k on myself, and drive an absurd amount for my new job. I haven’t had any issues and average around 35/36 mpg combined. It’s got a smooth ride for such a small car sans the terrible roads in my state. It’s also fairly comfortable compared to the Mazda 3s I’ve had in the past. The safety sense 2.0 feature are ok, but not very useful in traffic or back roads. Pretty unsafe in most situations honestly. Once early on the system locked up the brakes when a car in front of me was turning right slowing down. I think it has since learned my habits of letting that gap close faster then it deems safe. Hoping to have mine for a long time as I plan to average 30-40k/year. I think because of that I plan to change the oil every 7-8k. 10k just doesn’t feel right. I’ve gotten it sprayed down twice before each winter it’s seen with fluid film. Probably won’t do it again but wanted to get it done the first couple years of it’s life, especially before it’s first winter where I live. Handles great in the snow with proper rubber, pass up many “more capable” vehicles in heavy snow. It’s biggest issue is the ground clearance and the shit paint. It’s basically watered down nail polish. But the EPA is responsible for that.

I purchased a 2022 Honda Civic Sport Sedan in December after selling my 2019 CHR to Carvana at a huge profit. I wanted to stay with a Toyota, but only had 7 days to accept the offer on my CHR or risk the offer dropping. My Toyota dealer which isn't marking cars up over MSRP didn't have anything available within the 7 days, but I found the Civic at MSRP & purchased it. I immediately had airbag sensor problems causing multiple day long service visits thanks to a subpar Honda service department that couldn't resolve these issues immediately I ended up selling it for $4,500 more than I paid and getting a 2022 Corolla SE Nightshade Edition & I absolutely love it!

@Nombre Apellido I didn’t say Toyota cars weren’t reliable. They have simply been watered down the last couple of decades, from interior to engines. None of their cars have been very memorable before 2020. I miss the 90’s when Toyota was building amazing cars like the All-Trac Turbo Celica and turbo MR2 and Supra. However, 2022 is looking VERY bright. As for the Corolla, I’m sorry, but I would avoid any Toyota’s with a CVT regardless of how many miles the previous models have…and their interiors are inferior to the Civic and Mazda 3. The Mazda 3 is my first choice by far.

I have had my 2022 SE for three months now. Previous car Honda Civic 2006. Hear we go. Less snap on take off, sturdy cornering, CVT with bump and paddle shift awesome, sport mode even better, sport mode with traction control off even faster, sport tuned suspension and exhaust to top it all off. Sport with Economy now having the ability to tune everything down to zero and drive conservative with the ability to monitor it along the way. Economy and performance when you need it. Very versatile automobile without a high operating cost. Unfortunately I was forced to purchase before the hybrid came out. Running full synthetic, If my Corolla ever wears out I can't wait to see what the hybrid model offers.

I have one as a hire car atm but I am not sure I could grow to love it if I had one full time, despite its superficially good looks. If you are thinking of buying one, there is definately an ugly side view of this car which is quite pronounced. I drive to my house down a very narrow metalled road and have found the lane departure warning to be useful but not very effectice. My pre-conseption was that this should take charge but still enagage you, however, it takes charge but at the same time seems like it can't be bothered to be in charge. Apart from the odd minor alert it is pretty lack luster, and non involved and if you do let go of the wheel as a test it tells you quickly that you must hold it.

I have a question to all the new 2022 Corolla owners out there. Here in LA, when the weather gets above 95 degrees, my old 2006 Matrix, the AC cannot keep up and the interior gets pretty warm. How strong is the AC for those living in the hot areas, like Arizona, Vegas where it is constant heat? Does the AC keep up? That is a big factor in my car buying decision nowadays as I approach 60.
@Andrew_460
@Andrew_460 Жыл бұрын
Well I live in Canada and the ac in my 22 corolla can barely keep up with the mild heat we have here. Today it was 35C which is about 95F and i had the ac on full blast coldest setting and it took a sold half hour of idling and driving for me to feel even a slight difference in temp inside the car. The car has been back to the dealer to check the ac system and they said everything seems to be working as it should. So basically the ac sucks in these cars. My sisters 2016 corolla is the same way. All I gotta say is dont buy a toyota. Do what I should have done and go buy a civic.

I bought a 22 corolla se and its been the worst car ive ever owned. Its been back to the dealer over a dozen times. The transmission blew up on the way home from the dealer on the day i bought it and its the 6 speed manual not the problematic cvt. Its got a really loud knocking coming from the top end of the engine. It burns oil and uses coolant. The windshield wiper switch snapped off and its not covered under warranty. It gets horrible fuel milage and i drive very conservatively. The sunroof leaks when it rains. I cant drive it on gravel roads because the cabin fills with dust instantly to the point where i can hardly see. The road noise and wind noise is deafening. The paint is flaking off the front of the hood. The left side skirt came loose. The head liner came loose. And this is all in the first 8000 kms. This is the first and last toyota i will ever buy.
