It's a fact that Mazepin was among the elite drivers of that "rich kid category". He came runner up to Lando Norris in the karting world championship. To compare to other pay drivers or dad bought the team drivers. In Strolls case I think he has or should get more respect now since I think he has shown he belongs in F1. First season was questionable but recent seasons he has podiums, placed and qualified higher than Seb on numerous occasions that I think deserves the respect and shows he deserves to be there. But sure you can always question his path to F1 but you have to have money to get into F1 there is no way around that. So where the money comes from in his case don't really matter, IMO. Latifi I think is starting to show some pace with car he has and is learning from his mistakes. Mazepin isn't learning anything he does the same mistakes over and over.

I agree that they are improving so far. Like the newest driver coming in next year for example. IMO, piastri deserved that seat instead of him.
@sebulbathx2 жыл бұрын
@@syanazli2330 Yeah totally agree I have mixed feelings about paydrivers. I can accept it if the quality don't drop too much. Regardless of how much money they bring to the table I think they should have some form of criteria or merits to show to be allowed to get an F1 seat like you have to have finished in top 3 in GP2 or something. As in Mazepins case he finished 5th if I remember correct and that, imo, shouldn't give you a seat in F1 even with the money. The best thing for the sport would be if they had a clear ladder to climb. Say three minor series and after a season you have a draft like in NHL or something so you have somewhat the best talent on the grid. But unfortunately paydrivers are a necessary evil for some teams so we just have to sadly accept. But one can hope the F1 organisation realise the problem and do at least something about it because I think everyone, fan or not, wants to see the best drivers compete either they drive for Haas or Mercedes.🙂

As a Yank I've only 1 team to root for in HAAS - Worst pair of cars on the grid, smallest budget, least employable engineers and technicians and 2 rookie drivers for which we all know why are in the seat. I don't think it's fair to judge either driver without this proper context. Of course it's easy to throw mud at such an obvious target but yet, I believe, something good will come from it. I'm hanging in there to see what HAAS has for 2022 since they've saved 2 years of development budget just for it. If you want to really dig in consider that these 2 rookies have been less costly than 2 veterans who were capable of scoring points in midfield cars yet more intent in taking each other out while riding in scoring positions - so there is that. My hope all year was to see both cars make Q2, just once - that would have been worth cracking open champagne as well as any podium....besides, who doesn't love an underdog - Mick is generally not far behind Russell so, it's the car just as GR is in a turd for a couple more races anyway and he will have a year to prove if he can block for Lewis and let him pass like a good little boy or not.

I think, Mazepin is arrogant but not quite bad as a driver actually. For example, Yuki Tsunoda is very overrated. He scored 32 pts in a solid car. We see how fast the Tauris are in qualifications but he often makes mistakes and loses places. Sometimes, he suffers from poor strategy, due to the fact it's RB's second team and they make some experiments. Still, Yuki missed out on many opportunities.

Even tho he improved and isn't that aggresive and arrogant (which i really appreciate) you still can't ignore the fact that he assaulted a woman, puched another driver in the face, and almost injured tsunoda by crashing into a sign that almost hit him. but still, calling any driver -spin -crash is just a sign that you are mentally ill, most f1 fans are... Also the way his dad manipulated haas (livery with russian flag, financial bond for a seat) is just wrong. Mistakes are there to be made and teach you how to do better next time, but some mistakes can't be forgiven, not that i hate him and disrespect him by typing sh-t like mazespin or mazecrash but i don't want to see people llike him in a world class motorsport. Rewatch the races. Nikita is actually not that bad. In fact, he's become obscure as hell. After his first few shunts, he slowly disappeared from the TV broadcasting because he didn't get into trouble as much as other rookies. Mick is a much faster driver overall, but he's also prone to accidents. Mazepin sometimes won against Mick because the German unnecessarily broke his car.

The biggest problem in F1 is the question of paided drivers and if they have a right to be in the sport. For years F1 has had paided drivers and some were at the top of their game but others were out of their league and should never have been allowed to drive, when it comes to money matters F1 should be checking if the money is lajit and not dodgie money and that should include sponsorship as well as paided drivers and daddy's bank account .

every f1 driver's father or mother is one of the reasons they are all in f1. to say mazepin is in f1 because of his father is partially true yes... or even mostly true, but the fact is that every f1 driver's parent was the main reason they drive in f1. very rarely did an f1 driver fully got financed by himself or by a "very generous" team or organization or driving academy.
