How Sansa and Theon survived that jump is that snow drifted along the castle, Snow got so deep that it caught them. Horse riding is painful in the beginning. Drogo wasn't the only reason Dany was sore. In the beginning she had huge blisters on her thighs from riding that eventually burst. Her thighs became calloused and her muscles became strong and it no longer hurt her to ride Silver.
@DontDrinkTheLuminol Жыл бұрын
You have to give Sansa a break for moving slowly and saying she’ll die if she crosses that freezing stream-Ramsey has been torturing her nightly and we can only imagine what wounds she has under those clothes. :( Moving slowly because she’s cut/wounded, being worried about freezing, OR worrying about dying from infections from whatever’s in that water (she may have open/untreated wounds and may reasonably assume there’s feces in that stream from the soldiers and horses who were recently in the area) are totally legit here. She does the smart/brave thing and keeps fleeing the immediate danger of her sadist husband, but it’s very understandable that she panicked there for a second.

@@Langeng1 Bacteria and Viruses are not destroyed by cold. They may go dormant, but waken when warm. So if you have open sores and get into dirty water, trying to warm/dry off will allow them to wake up. There are bacteria that prefer the cold.
@Langeng1 Жыл бұрын
@@stacywhisenant6242 well, some would die, while others go dormant, i was just wondering how dangerous ish it would be from infections spreading in almoast freezing water, since it seem like tropical rivers that never freezes have lots more lively bacteria and viruses then rivers that freeze over once a year. so the cold does something, but how much?
@DontDrinkTheLuminol Жыл бұрын
Fair question. I don’t think Sansa would know, either, which is my point. She’d only know that 1) freezing water is dangerous, 2) contaminated water is dangerous, and 3) that she’s injured (she told Theon that every night, Ramsay hurts her). The bottom line is just that she knew she had to GTFO, BUT it’s understandable that she’s moving slowly (or sorely?) and is scared. I mean, when’s the last time her life has gotten BETTER, you know? Of course she’s looking at her odds of survival vs. suffering. Good discussion, thanks. :)

Mhysa is not Valyrian, it's ancient local language. Dany didn't know what it meant at the beginning and adopted because it sounded cool. But at this point Dum and Dummer dropped the language expert from the production team, who I must add, worked closely on the first few seasons to make the scenes more fluid and dialogue make sense. They hired the guy back on House of dragons with excellent results.
@YenShively Жыл бұрын
Indeed. Makes me think of Dany saying “Valar” in the season 5 finale and they tried to hide that by putting “fly” as the subtitle for it 🤣🤣🤣 when, if they had kept the linguist, they would’ve known she was supposed to say “Dohaeris, soves.” (Obey, fly). So many misdeeds.
@_justinblizzle Жыл бұрын
In Season 3 finale I think it was Missandei says "it's old Ghiscsri, for mother" which makes sense bcuz that's obviously the language the people of that area would speak, esp the lowborn. So that was either D&D 'forgetting' and Cogman (who as the story editor is supposed to catch things like that) or Varys thinking he knows every f*ckin thing
@_justinblizzle Жыл бұрын
@@YenShivelyi doubt she would've needed to say "dohaeris" Drogon was already bonded to her. And they used to improvise words all the time even in the earlier seasons; Ian Glenn, Jason Momoa & Emilia Clarke have all admitted to sometimes just saying w/e in Dothraki or Valayrian even after studying the recordings of how it's supposed to be said.

@@_justinblizzle You literally didn't pay any attention. Go read the book. There were plenty of changes they made. Tyrion hadn't even met Daenerys by the time of the pit scene. Doran Martell isn't killed by Ellaria Sand and the Sand Snakes. His own daughter tries to crown Myrcella Queen of Seven Kingdoms and she isn't poisoned by the Sand Snakes. So the whole 'his stuff was boring' argument was just a ploy, as they were already taking liberties with some of the main storylines.

One thing I always thought was interesting was the Lannister hair thing. In the books, they are all VERY blond. Jamie, Cersei and Tyrion are all extremely blond. When the show starts, its the same. They are all blond. But as the show progresses, and the characters evolve, Jamie and Tyrion hair gets darker, more browm and eventually dark brown, as they slowly depart from their former selves. Cersei is the only one who remains blonde. Her character, at its core, never changes. She remains an entitled, horrid person throughout the whole show, and the fact that her hair always remains the same color is the reflection of that. Very clever.

The best King Arthur movie ever made IMO, a must watch if you haven't seen it.
