As a beginner rider, staring at my wheel in the corner of the room while I patiently wait for my legs to heal from sore muscles is proving to be a tough challenge!

As soon as i modified my footplates with "spikes" the pain was gone. Can't imagine not having them now, the usual "sandpaper" was not enough for total wheel control.

I remember those days. You get past that pain soon and your next repetitive strain injury comes from spraining your face because you are grinning so hard all of the time!

It is bad for retailers who buy a stock of the latest wheel only for another improved version to come out 6 months later. They end up with stock that nobody wants. Not great at all!

I must be unique in that since selling my faithful ‘training wheel’ to my sister I have remained a single wheel owner for ooh, about two years! I’m as puzzled as to why, believe me, but it boils down to three things essentially - lack of space, lack of a spare 3 grand to fritter, and being incredibly happy with my trusty Z10. I still read all the specs of new stuff and drool… for a short time, but then the moment passes, fortunately for my bank balance. But yeah I know exactly what wheel I’d have my name down for in the event of a terminal situation with the Z10…

You got me 100%! Especially point two: return tupperware, get a box of eggs or apples, milk... a cool challenge was bringing a whole bag of empty glass to the containers, all on the EUC. But you forgot one point: during the Sunday walk together with the family, annoying all participants with comments that ee had already driven here with the euc (*and oh look, this are marks of my tire!*). You are right! Also when out on a walk I often find myself thinkig how I wod approach a tricky section of the woodland path on an EUC or what route I would choose on the path or how I would hop over some tree roots....

It’s certainly true some of those things. I have thought about getting an action cam, but mostly as a dash cam. I’ve never shared a video online and it would be a true support for your observation if that changed. I do certainly use it for things I don’t strictly have to. My kids’ school is a 5 minute walk up the hill. When they have after school activities where it’s not the general release of all students and too crowded to EUC, I will tend to EUC there and carry a razor scooter and helmet for them to ride back down the hill home. I’m not walking if there’s any possibility I can EUC. 5 months in, two wheels now, we’ll see how it goes.

All points are true except "urge to make videos of himself". However there's a YT channel of a guy who posts videos of him riding at least 3 times a day, no matter the weather. I just barely started riding but already have an ever-growing shopping list of EUCs and related stuff i definitely want. My only reason to not be outside right now is that my (first and only, not for long) wheel is in the service getting prepared for deep snow. Also can't stride regularly anymore - checking the path as if i was on a wheel, doing brain exercises imagining how i would control a wheel here. Oh the longing!

Haha. Yeah I’ve consistently done all those Jon. As I live on a farm, when I go to town, I park my ute as far from the shops as possible then ride my wheel around town doing my errands. When on holidays I buy my wife a coffee every morning from the cafe that is furthest from our hotel while dreaming of my next wheel. Yup, EUC tragic!!!! Although, you’re probably not a true Euc nut unless you have a scar somewhere on your body. Mine is on my ankle from when I was learning to ride while sitting on my Sherman. (Jon is our King as he has less good skin than scar tissue!!🤣)

It's actually sort of a catalyst to some great creativity and sharing as you mentioned, clearly it gives you an outlet for expressing your tremendous sense of humor which has touched many people. As for me, I've contacted the high school where my 4 kids graduated from and they're going to let me come demonstrate hoverboard and EUC and I'm going to let the students reverse engineer my beloved devices in the name of education, I'll get to stress the safety gear to them!! ( while they disassemble one of my Hoverboard's and one EUC, I still have another hoverboard and the V11 to use!)it's the eve if holiday weekend here.. Happy Thanksgiving Mr. Whalley!
