@@landahoy5217 come on man she is good enough to play on the LPGA. She has only won 2 times. She is far from a great golfer. Jin ko, Lydia ko, Ariya are great golfers. They win in pressure situation and don't choke like Lexi and Wie. Just being honest not trying be mean. Who's the Bozo Mr. Land Ahoy.

Michelle Wie is/was the most over rated & over hyped LPGA player of the past 20+ years. Anika Sorenstam put it bluntly in 2013 when speaking of Wie she said 'What I see now is that the talent that we all thought would be there is not there.' A couple notes: 1) Wie-West used an exemption available to her to enter this week's LPGA Tournament of Champions played at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club; and she finished dead last. The winner of this week's LPGA Tournament of Champions, Daniel Kang, has more LPGA tournament victories than Wie-West; who currently is tied for 89th for the number of LPGA tournament victories. 2) Wie-West did lead the LPGA in driving distance one year, averaging just under 275 yards. No where near the 300 yard mark many people talk about.

Michelle Wie does not hit the ball 300 yards regularly. He problem was having Ledbetter coach her and her constant injuries. She never really got any better after age 18.

Her greedy parents threw her in a publicity stunt to play on PGA Tour and it destroyed her confidence just too much to take in for a 14 year old Wie and she never be as good since they killed her professional career before it even started. Working with Leadbetter further destroyed her chance of competitiveness as she went from longest hitter on LPGA to barely average off the tee her current swing was so demanding of her body that if she's not 100% health then the swing falls apart and can't score. Media overhyped and unrealistic expectations in her are also to blame as they also put additional pressure on her to succeed they ready to chew her up every time she WD or missed the cut it's cruel what they did to her.

She was NEVER able to live up to what she was marketed to be! She took Nike for a serious ride, financially, made millions for doing literally nothing! She was beaten, repeatedly, by girls just on the tour and many just out of high school! This is NOT HATING, you need to have some REAL honesty. It was a total joke, and she milked it for as much money as she could get, and NO -- its not RIGHT to do that, but, it does demonstrate that marketing and PR was more important that SKILL and Character!

She was all too eager to revel in all the hoopla surrounding her, eschewing any responsibility to prove herself on the LPGA and accepting charity to get into PGA tournaments for the exposure and novelty of it (not to mention endorsements). She made herself a polarizing figure, loathed by her fellow LPGA golfers, ridiculed by PGA fans but admittedly loved by her sycophants. Absolutely one of the least classy pro athletes of the last 25 years. Maybe she can laugh all the way to the bank but deep down, her massive failure as a pro athlete and human being gnaw at her soul constantly and she is truly miserable for her awful choices in life.

She should have played college golf. Signing with Nike at high school was the wrong move. For most of her young life she played and competed against men. So trying the sony open was no big deal for her although she didn't play well. But after she signed with Nike there now was "high expectations" and demands for her time! She was a child had no choices in what she did. Her parents and sponsor made all her decisions for her. Here is Hawaii, we all watched her retreat into herself, became quite, wasn't smiling much. It's was great to see her after the baby, she now has other reasons to be happy and fulfilled. She can hopefully enjoy golf as a Part time player!

No..... once the body starts to go, it's hard to come back to previous levels of play. Look at Tiger Woods, such a phenomenal player, still capable of flashes of brilliance, but the consistency of excellence is gone forever. Sure, you can hang around and make some cuts, maybe even pull one out here or there, but it won't be the same. The only player to come back and become a consistent contender after serious injury was Ben Hogan and he went through HELL to keep playing. Most players would not go through that struggle even with the wonders of modern medicine.

Michelle should make a comeback. If she does, she needs to NOT WEAR a watch on her wrist when hitting woods and irons. There is too great a possibility of vibration hurting her wrists. Even if she is getting paid by a sponsor, she needs to arrange to only wear the watch as she comes up the ninth and eighteenth to the green. Putting with a watch on should not hurt her.
