I know this comment is already a year old, but I still wanted to mention that for me, Sistar was the best Kpop girl group of all time. There has been a huge amount of groups in the last 10-15 years, but Sistar always stood out to me. Their different personalities, their musical/artistic skills, their professionalism, their amazing sister-like bond made them very unique. They have always been exemplary as a band, and their scandal-free disbanding only stresses that. The fact that they still hang out and support each other even after their disbanding shows how much the band meant to them and how much they cherished each other and the time together. They were the first Kpop girl band that I discovered ~10 years ago, and they were the only one that made me cry when I found out they were disbanding. Even writing this comment is tearing me up a bit. Sistar got me into Kpop and I will forever be thankful for that. Maybe there is hope that they will re-unite at some point, we'll see... Anyway, I wish them all all the best, no matter what happens, and thank them for making the last decade so much better for me ❤

I think if they were that bothered by this, they wouldn't have lasted so long and wouldn't have had that clean break-up though :) I think part of what made it possible was that they weren't selfish.

Legit, I just got into K-Pop 8 months ago, but when I found SISTAR on my own (I think through the "Bubblegum K-Pop" playlist on Spotify) I was hooked. Everyone that I know who introduced me to the "Hallyu Wave" never mentioned SISTAR because all of them got their start in the movement probably just after they disbanded. Originally, I started off as a BLACKPINK fan, but when I heard the melodies, harmonies and "clockwork" timing of the girls of SISTAR it was just mindblowing for me. No lie, I probably listened to their entire discography on Spotify at least 50, maybe 60, times by now and it just never gets old - this level of talent is timeless. Hell, they're so talented they have a track with Giorgio Moroder (i.e. "Papa Giorgio") or all music industry legends! Yeah, to say their disbandment was a huge blow to the industry is an understatement.

For some reason I thought that, as long as one of them wanted to stay as a group, they would stay together, till the last one said she was ready to go and that’s what they did. This group was a power house, they had two of the top 10 vocalists in all k-pop (by many lists) with Hyolyn and Soyou, top dancers in Bora and Hyolyn, balanced personable diverse personalities. Yes, I love that you made this video in honor of Sistar! They were the start of me loving Kpop again after Girls Generation. Girls Generation had a few good songs but I kind of forgot about them. I was randomly browsing KZbin one day years ago and I came upon Touch My Body, I was hooked ever since then and became obsessed, I rewatched that mv on repeat, I don’t know how many times? After that, I couldn’t help but check out with all of their other releases old and new ones. I loved Kpop even more because of them, but I will never love any other girl group more than Sistar! Sister was my introduction to Kpop and it was a sad day when I heard they were disbanding. There are other Kpop groups I like but Sistar had a very different aura about them I haven't seen in any other Kpop group. when the news breakout that sistar is disbanding. . it took me 2 months before watching lonely. . still at this time it hurts. .that i slow down or not at all watch kpop and korean dramas. but im happy that they're doing good being on their own. . its just that. . .(sigh)
