So what happens if you're forced to say yes to everything in EU4? Today we do the "yes man" challenge in EU4 where I say yes to every single proposal sent by the AI! Also, this is on flat dev. I got 2 challenges. As one of the opms in the hre survive a battle royale (with the battle royale mod ofc) As any max. 3 province minor play until 1500 or longer while being constantly at war. Idk if you already did one of these but I'd love to see that.

If an enemy ally won't join against you, but will if your ally comes in, you can declare without calling in your ally, waiting for them to decline the call and calling your ally in after the original declaration works.

hey.. doesn't the manufactories institution usually start somewhere in England or Germany or France or Italy? I have like 40+ manufactories in my nation.. I'm Saxony, have most of the HRE, have England as a PU... and the manufactories institution spawns in Qara Qoyunlu FFS!

Nope. The only region locked institutions are Renaissance and the Printing Press. The others, like Manufactories, Global Trade, etc, are all able to spawn all across the world, except on isolated islands (so no institutions will ever spawn on Mann or Cyprus, for example)

@@tigrecito48 there's no weight given to how many manufactories you own as a country, since the script is province based. Owning more provinces that meets the requirements gives you a higher likelihood of getting it, yes, but it's still a percentage based on how many provinces globally meet those requirements. So, if 100 provinces meet the requirements, and you own 30 of those, there's still a 70% chance that you won't get it. It doesn't matter if it's an OPM or a global hegemon who owns the province, merely that the selected province got lucky in a dice roll

@@Patches2212 seems a weird way to do it though... industrial revolution spawning in a place just cos they have one mfg... i think it should be weighted more ... rather than random... like based not just equal % per mfg in the world but kinda more likely if surrounded by others... you know like flanking... if you attack with one unit you get no bonus.. if you surround it in 8 provinces you get max bonus...

@@tigrecito48 unfortunately, that would extend the scripts and how long they take to run, since each province will have to check every adjacent province to see if they have a manufactory, basically meaning all their scripts will constantly be running over one another (since each province will need to check each other province, becoming redundant in the process) and thus increasing the time required to run the scripts. This is only further increased when you consider that Farm Estates, though classified as "manufactories" in their function, don't actually count towards the Manufactories institution (they're the only manufactory type that can't spawn the institution center). Now, if you even tried to run a "flanking" script to try and add weight to where it can spawn, you'd have to extend your script even more to include "oh but excluding provinces with Farm Estates". That just adds a lot of "dead weight" to the script but that is required to fit the parameters of the institution. And finally, since institutions are spawned provincially rather than nationally, expanding a script beyond the confines of a single province scope will undoubtedly have other unforeseen consequences. The language of the EU4 script only accounts for "any neighbouring province" (thus only one province can have an effect) or "every neighbouring province" (thus all of them need to meet the set parameters to have an effect), and both these conditions are used sparingly because of how tricky they can become when there's the whole world to scan
