A lot of migrants live in military bases, as their family might work there and so they are allowed temporary stay. Also if someone's relative is in the RAF then their family is also allowed temporary stay before being relocated into a council house.

Hayden2 Maybe you live there! Lots of bases have housing for civilian employees and families of those on active duty. I’ve lived on two Navy bases as a child, first, when Dad was deployed on an aircraft carrier, later, when he worked on base for a civilian contractor. Even today, it wouldn’t be that difficult if you could somehow blend in with legitimate personnel. Wear a uniform or dress as a contractor? I definitely don’t recommend attempting to sneak on base. You’ll almost certainly get caught.

Mo's completely correct. Going from high pressure to low pressure, letting gas expand, is what causes the bends. If anything it'd be on ascent, not descent, where it's an issue. But I also don't think the pressure difference between low and high atmosphere is nearly the same as deep sea divers face.

"The bends" (Decompression Sickness) while diving underwater is a different phenomenon than the one that is alleged to occur while hiding in a wheel well, as described in this video, even if symptoms are confused with the bends. The bends under scuba diving conditions occur because the diver is breathing compressed air on his back, as he descends, lingers at these deeper depths, then ascends too quickly. Wheel well's aren't "climate controlled" as mentioned in this same video. If we assume this means wheel well's aren't "pressurized", stowaways hiding in wheel wells, can't be breathing pressurized air, hence they can't get the "bends" as the aircraft comes down from higher altitude. Pretty sure, what this video instead is trying to describe, although done totally inaccurately, is HAPE (High Altitude Pulmonary Edema), a risk to which mountain climbers are exposed. In short, scuba divers are exposed to "decompression sickness", while mountaineers to HAPE.

I looked it up, and a commercial jet cannot climb fast enough to give you decompression sickness. The cabin can even go through rapid decompression and the passengers do not suffer from the bends, they get hypoxia. Not even the early unpressurized rocket-planes made by the Nazi's could climb fast enough to give the pilots decompression sickness. He must be thinking about hypoxia. Hypoxia is an issue over 10,000 feet.

You have the gas law backward though... Boyle's law states pressure of a gas tends to increase as the volume of the container decreases. So every 33 feet you descend into the water you gain 1 ATM (atmosphere of pressure.) So you're not expanding gas volume on desent so you don't have the expanding gas problem. (It's an ascent problem not decent.)
