You can't trade him a mon that doesn't have your ID, and you can only get 1 Ogerpon per save file. You can trade him your starter or any of the one time catch Paradox mons since all of them are shiny locked. It's just Ogerpon being classified as a legendary when they aren't causes the issue.

I’ve noticed something. When most characters terastalize a Pokémon, they appear to struggle to hold onto the tera orb (or in the case of characters with glasses, hold them on to stop them from falling off) but when Kieran does it here, there’s absolutely nothing. No real struggle to remain grasping it, which makes him really the only character to resist the force generated by terastalizing a Pokémon (other than the main character at any rate)
