Which pop star had more iconic lines than JANET JACKSON?!?!? "Gimmie a beat!" "iT'S Ms Jackson, if you NASTY!" Her tag lines are so ICONIC. Also, her and Whitney were the queens of an epic medley, the transitions were unmatched! To me, she influenced way more in music than most legends... not just in POP, but in Hip Hop, Rock, R&B, DANCE, and even alternative. My QUEEN OF POP

John Edwards Wrong.. She was ROBBED.. No disrespect to Streisand.. The album was PHENOMENAL and she sang on those albums and CO WROTE.. She IS a musician. Just like now, over 30 yrs later, the Grammy board or whomever had NO CLUE. She plays the keyboards and very well, but is such an EXTRAORDINARY performer, they wouldn’t dare keep her in the background. She was DESTINED to be out front and the QUEEN that she is. This performance was NOT all lip syncing, OBVIOUSLY because it’s not even the original version. I watched it LIVE, as a little girl. Was MESMERIZED. GREATEST FEMALE ENTERTAINER OF ALL TIME.. Like it or not and NO ONE sings HER songs like she does.. NO ONE. Jimmy and Terry knew she was a diamond in the rough and helped turn her into the HUGE GEM that she is.. YES, they are a dynamic duo; The GREATEST and yes, Paula is a phenomenal choreographer, but a person still has to have something to “ work with”.. REMEMBER, BEFORE Paula, Janet worked with and was mentored by the GREAT Debbie Allen.. People either forget or don’t know.
