Crispy tofu:
- 250g firm tofu, cut into cubes
for the dry coating:
- 2 tbsp plain flour
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp vegetable stock powder
for the wet coating:
- 1/2 cup soy milk
- 1/2 tbsp flax meal

Oh my gosh, I literally just tried the tofu scramble recipe HOLY MOLY!!! I have never enjoyed tofu scramble because the texture was always just not quite right. THIS IS A GAME CHANGER!! I’ve done the same as in the video, now I have a big batch that I can eat throughout the week! I love your videos! Thank you for the inspiration!! 😊💜

That's the way to make tofu scramble. Adding extra moisture and cooking it for some timeis game0changing in terms of texture so I am not surprised your boyfriend managed to make you like it with this version!

Love 🥰 this video from Amanda, showing how to get protein on a vegan diet and yes protein powder isn't required because there's whole plant foods that provides protein. Thanks for sharing this awesome & inspirational video.

All whole plant foods have protien out of the thousands of nutritional tables ive looked at (like usda, pubmed and+ NCCDB, box labels are often not even close to accurate) for example a box of wheat pasta has about 64g around double what a typical woman needs in a day.

2tbsp of cocoa powder + 14fl oz of high quality soymilk (more soybeans, no gums ex: edensoy or homemade) has 23g of protein. That's over half what the average person needs (uses) in a day (42g) no need to add protein powder

Even a thick crusty slice of wheat bread (100g) has around 12g. Probably most people way underestimate this because they don't know the weight of their bread and rustic bread tends to be a lot denser and larger slices than supermarket bread.

Cacao, maca, coconut sugar and protein powder mixed with boiling water and poured over milk and ice x

Hey Amanda :) This entire day looks like 500 g of tofu, that may be a bit too much of soy, based on the info that I found daily recommended amount shouln't exceed 255g to 425g.

I like my tofu scramble very dry lol. There’s two different versions of scrambles though, British (wet, not cooked as long) and American (dry, probably over cooked).

@@bridgette151 I'm sorry how was it useless? You claimed there's 2 versions of tofu scramble. I was saying there's more than 2 types. Just as there's more than 2 types of tofu. I'd also hardly say any culture or country makes it "probably overcooked." What did you want me to suggest? "Suggest offers," of what? Tofu scramble recipes? There's dozens. And different cultures make it differently.

@@ohleander02 go to cooking, like I did and maybe you would know regional cooking techniques are. It was a useless comment because you didn’t suggest another type and just made a statement. There are a million ways to cook a freaking egg, I just stated the two most common types of scrambled eggs.

@@bridgette151 Wow, you're assuming a lot and you're being rude. Both the UK and the US have various regional cooking types. Not just one for an entire country. And you stated your opinion too -- it's your opinion that UK and US (that broadly) are the 2 most common ways of cooking a tofu scramble. We weren't speaking of eggs at all. Of which there are different versions of a scramble in each region of the US. I'm muting you. You're terribly rude. My comment wasn't useless just because I didn't suggest other regional versions. But how about Indian? Or Latin? I guarantee they're popular and they are also very different. I also think it's odd that you think the US version of tofu scramble is "probably overcooked."
