Yes, I keep seeing all these fall-themed videos featuring pumpkin-spiced drinks and snacks. That’s great and all, but where’s the emphasis on the AMAZING produce available? Kabocha squash, eggplant, butternut squash, spinach, cauliflower, broccoli, chard, and pumpkin itself are my favorites!

I have to say as a german I always find it very interesting to see americans eat kale and how they eat it. I´ve been eating kale since I was little but we eat it very differently. Kale is one of my favourite things to eat and I can´t wait till it´s kale season here so I can enjoy it

Marie K how do you prepare kale?
@NeleMK6 жыл бұрын
Well obviously normally it´s not vegan but you can just leave the non vegan parts. You basically cook it together with onion, veggie broth and a little mustard. We cook it for at least 1-2 hours and then you should eat it the day after you prepare it because it will soak up all the flavour and taste even better if you reheat it. I hope I explained it so that you can understand. We never eat kale as a salad and I´ve been eating my kale like that for 20 years. P.s: We eat it together with potato and in the northern part of germany we caramallize the potato with sugar in pan so it´s kale with sweetened potatos

Ok. That cheesy broccoli chickpea and rice casserole is 💣!! Like omg so good. Just made it and kicking myself for not making a double batch. I did sub out quinoa for the rice and added equal amounts salt and onion power to the seasonings. Also added daiya cheddar style shreds to the mix before baking. So good!! Thank you so much!

I know this is an old question, but since you didn't get an answer - I would assume mostly a shorter cooking time. And maybe less liquid? As brown rice normally needs a bit more water than white.

If you can come like East Asian countries, please come, especially Vietnam (shameless plug, a proud Vietnamese here) and we do have a good variety of vegan food since 70% of the population is Buddhism and many practice to be a vegetarian or vegan If you have the chance, please come to Buddhist pagodas, big or small, they have really good vegan food (I know because my grandma is the head nun of my local pagoda)
