Just a little tip when boiling farm fresh eggs. If you boil the water first and then gently put the eggs in the water they will peel much easier! I read somewhere if you put the eggs in the water before boiling it causes the film to stick making them harder to peel. My perfect boiled egg is pre-boiled water, 13 minutes, then ice bath till cool :)

I was drinking the Califa cold brew too, but the blond. Very good, but then I couldn't find the blond in my market so I just started making my own. I bought the Takeya cold brew pitcher off Amazon and I use the Philz coffee, Tesora flavor, French press grind. Saves some money and still very good 👍🏽 Love your videos 🤗

Can you make videos on how to lose weight when intuitively eating? Trying to heal my relationship with food, while also achieving the healthiest weight for my body type.
@daniellemcnally34004 жыл бұрын
This! I would love to eat intuitively, but I know I have about 45 pounds to lose.. to how does this work?
@lindseygordon82074 жыл бұрын
Danielle McNally yesss I have the exact same to lose, and I’m just like how do I intuitively not eat the whole pan of brownies in my kitchen! 😭
@mialopez-zubiri89254 жыл бұрын
@@lindseygordon8207 Hi! I think intuitive eating is really about letting go of diet culture's rules about food and allowing yourself to trust your body. It takes time, and it's normal to eat more of foods that were previously restricted. I personally don't believe that intuitive eating and intentional weight loss are compatible. Some people gain weight, others maintain, and others lose weight, but the whole point is that when you listen to your body it will find a weight where it functions best as you heal your relationship with food. I hope this is helpful!
@lindseygordon82074 жыл бұрын
Mia Lopez-Zubiri that makes a lot of sense!! thank you!!
@shelleyscheepers2244 жыл бұрын
I am on this same journey, I stopped "dieting" about 3 years ago and have been working towards intuitive eating. It's not a quick fix especially if you were on the 'diet roller coaster' for a long time, and you may not lose weight initially because you need to re-set your entire mindset and your relationship with food and your body. I am not at my ideal weight yet, have a few kilograms to go but my primary goal was not to lose weight, it was to rid myself of the constant diet roller coaster that always leaves you feeling unworthy and like a failure. I have gotten to a weight that I have maintained for a really long time and I do want to lose about 8kg but I will allow myself to do this through eating intuitively and I will never again attempt any restrictive diet. I have never been in a happier place in terms of my relationship with food, I don't have cravings, I can easily eat just a few blocks of chocolate or 2 cookies whereas when I was dieting I needed to eat the entire chocolate or entire bag of cookies. I eat anything and everything, when I want and I know when I have had sufficient and when something isn't good for me. I am not an expert like Becca is, she will give you proper advice but just thought I would share my personal experience. All the best. I swear by intuitive eating and learnt it here on Becca's channel many moons ago when I started following her.

Nice! Love how you talk about racism in America and are a part of the solution. I also like how you eat Whole Foods. Steel cut organic oats with cinnamon is my go to breakfast. I add ground flax seeds (for omega3’s), maple syrup, and berries so I relate to you choice. Your lunch was cool too and as you said we can change out the protein. I was glad to hear your thoughts on tortillas and preservatives. Also Einkorn sounded really interesting and I had never heard of it before.

@Kate-hm7cj4 жыл бұрын
it looks like Martha Stewart enameled cast iron - much more affordable than Le Creuset!!!!
@Kate-hm7cj4 жыл бұрын
correction of my previous statement - the small white cast iron pot is Le Creuset -i think the larger one she was using was martha stewart - but not 100% on that - she only showed the lid for a second - you can shop around though - there are several brands of them. :) - they are $$$ - just that small white LeCreust sauce pan she boiled the eggs in is $230. at Williams Sonoma -they are beautiful though and if cared for should last a lifetime

Becca, Whilst I love watching your videos I could have done without this one. I could have done without your lecture about racism in America and your lecture about your white guilt. Truth be told, there is absolutely no better country in the world to be black other than the US. I have personally met black immigrants that have flown into South American counties with laxed Visa laws to make the very dangerous trip on FOOT with children in tow to reach the Southern border just at the possibility of getting to step foot in the US. Many black immigrants come to American every year and millions upon millions want to immigrate if they could. If you want to lecture people perhaps you should be lecturing people in other countries about racism as I have traveled the world and trust me, there is no better place to be black or any other race than the United States of America. My family is a family of immigrants from Europe, Middle East, and Asia. No better country in the world. Tired of hearing all this nonsense.
