Thank you so much for sharing this. It’s really hard to find good content of people in the fitness world sharing their PCOS symptoms. Usually fit athletic KZbinrs film their usual days eating carbs and sweets without much consequences, or they film their perfect day of eating as if fighting cravings are easy. Not everyone has insulin resistance like PCOS people do. But it’s nice to finally have someone share the same experience. It’s a great reminder that we’re all human and we might get off track once in a while, but when PCOS creeps back up, it will remind us to take good care of our body and learn moderation.

I'm experiencing horrible flare-ups. It's been going on for two weeks. I always get the lightning bolt through my area as well. I've also been getting migraines, I'm very tired, and have low motivation as well. I really appreciate you sharing your journey. Been trying to find a high-protein diet that works. This video is very relatable.

Wow I’ve been doing a lot of online research, watching Tik Toks and KZbin videos looking for advice with my PCOS. It’s actually demotivated me so much because I never see myself getting better these “diets” I’ve seen people do seem so unrealistic. This is the first video I’ve watched that made me think “i can do this” i love how you’re still eating normal things and just making small swaps it seems a lot more manageable. Thank you so much for sharing this I’ve struggled with PCOS for years now but only recently had an official diagnosis so I’m ready to try and get rid of some of this pain 😂good luck!

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS a few weeks ago. I know what you mean when you said your diagnosis made so much sense. Unfortunately not many physicians are trained to deal with PCOS. I highly recommend Allara Health. You work with a physician and a dietitian who specialize in PCOS and help you learn about your PCOS and how to manage it holistically. The physician will prescribe medication if needed but the goal is to try and manage it naturally

Thanks Holy. This is much appreciated as these are issues that women struggle with. I have fibroids and I have found that Keto really helps with my symptoms so I hear you on the low carb. Whenever I go off plan and eat sugar my symptoms flare up quickly. Interestingly enough I’ve found even the diet drinks impact me as if I’m having sugar so I’m finding I’m having to eliminate more and more. But I enjoy the process of eliminating some things and feeling better afterwards.

On the topic of the low calorie pastas being higher carb: fats are the highest calorie macronutrient, so when companies want to cut calories they cut fat. Since all foods are just a ratio of fats, proteins, and carbs, if you cut out fat it naturally raises the proportion of protein and carbs. Pasta has little to no protein, so it becomes entirely just carbs. It's the same reason a lot of fat free things taste a bit sweeter, like lactose free dairy milk.

Thankyou for being so open. Right now I’m struggling with all the same symptoms and I also thought I was pregnant but nope it’s my hormones being off. I just really need to change my diet. I’ve been craving sugar so bad but I hate feeling like this. Hopefully I can fix it and it gets better. 😊

I’m a type 2 diabetic, and my hormones have been out of sorts as well causing me to skip periods and ovulation. I’ve been healing my body through food and it took 7 months to finally regulate my cycle. Food is such a big factor when it comes to hormones and I wish I knew sooner

The lightening bolt is often called lightening crotch or fanny daggers and it's awful.

Your systems are the same as mine. I can't eat sugar, or fat. I cut tahini and almond butter out. My teeth also hurt lol. I get the lightning bolt and a pain at the top of my legs. Mine is all endrometriosis. I have to be so careful what I eat. Feel for you being so young. Im 52 didn't get diagnosed until my 40s. Lucky I had children by then. Also be careful with caffeine can make symptoms worse. Sending love hope you can manage without feeling like the odd one.

Nice, feeling how the bloating and pain receded within approximately two months made all the difference, I simply go’ogled the latest by Tilly Strankten and her Ovarian Cyst Guide and although it really took about 10 weeks for it to totally shrink and vanish I’ve never felt so light and relaxed.

Go to the doctors, you should be referred to a hospital to see a gyny. And have a scan.
