They use rice powder and other fillers. The ones Kristi is eating here are awesomely delicious and totally keto ♥ Grab these instead.

Been an RN 32 years...highly unlikely kidney stone is due to keto...increase water, cut the carbonated drinks. If it is a stone you may pass it with little pain if it's tiny or you may have severe oain if it's large. You will definitely know if you need to go to the ER cause the pain will be excruciating. Best wishes and don't panic.

Kristi, stay hydrated (drink water or water with lemon). For now, limit almonds, almond milk, spinach, & other high-oxalate foods. For more on oxalates, google Sally Norton. I despise cranberry juice without sugar, so I take D-Mannose capsules every morning & night. D-Mannose is the active ingredient in cranberries that prevents bacteria from adhering to the lining of your bladder. Wishing you the best!

I’ve had kidney stones before (lots of them) and I have them on my dad’s side. I will say since doing keto, I no longer have issues with them. My kidney stone was caused from drinking tap water (Alabama water is very high in calcium) Also, like you said, if you had a kidney stone, you would know it. I can tell when I don’t drink enough because I have pain in the right kidney (where my first ones originated) It could be a kidney infection or other UTI. Also, it could be GYN related.
@KM-zn3lx3 жыл бұрын
Ok I'm not a doctor but will go ahead and recommend vitamin e and coconut oil suppositories. They keep the nether parts moist for us women in peri or menopause. Also when I start to feel itching or burning down there I put some tea tree oil on the suppository and insert. This feels a little uncomfortable at first but tolerable and it passes in a minute. I haven't had a uti since! I think being dry down there exposes the urinary tract more and bacteria gets in there. Tea tree oil on gums also helps with periodontal disease. It tastes terrible but works. Keep stocked on tea tree oil!

I just went through something similar last week. I did have pain in my lower belly and my FAMILY blamed Keto. My doctor however did not. She said for me to keep doing what I'm doing (I'm down 31 lbs and my blood sugar is perfect and I'm diabetic). My CT showed diverticulitis. My research has shown me that I have probably had this diverticulitis for a while but only mildly and my occasional constipation was aggravating the diverticulitis. I'm taking antibiotics and making sure everything keeps moving. Good luck.

I have had stones twice. Neither time was I on Keto. The urologist told me to drink Cystal Lite to prevent stones as the citric acid tends to dissolve them. Citric acid is in a number drink mixes. Just find something you like and make it a daily habit. Oh, and I'd take birth labor over stone pain any time. Don't hesitate to seek out the ER if it gets painful. I did after my Norco did nothing.😬

I've had several in last decade. My last I had blood in urine because it wasn't being passed just sit in a spot where it hadn't caused any pain. Doctor said if it would of gone through system I would have to go to emergency room due to size. It is not technically due to keto, but can be affected by what you do and don't eat or not enough water. After passing stone they can test it and give some tips what might have caused it. I have had one broken up and passed the rest, the breaking method was worse in the end.

Hope your feeling better. My kidney stones have always been caused by dehydration. If she didn’t see a kidney stone she can’t say you have a kidney stone. Some stones are so small they don’t hurt, hence the blood in your urine because you passed it. I will say that kidney stones usually only hurt when they are moving, as they rip through the mesh that is your kidney, or they are so big they get stuck in your ureters and block urine from flowing so your kidney swells. Good luck. Keep us posted.

I am super anemic and have been for a number of years. I have found the best thing for the anemia is on Amazon, a product called liquid blue iron. It is made from blueberries and comes out of a lab in Denmark. Are used to take two doses a day +3 or four of the 325 mg tablets a day and now I am taking one dose of the liquid blue iron every couple of days since starting keto six months ago. Liquid blue iron is amazing if you do turn up being anemic. Hopefully it all goes well with all this testing and it doesn’t turn out to be a kidney stone.

I was scared to death of mine in the beginning but I have started watching Six Sisters and Christy does Air fryer recipes every Monday I have really learned how to use my instant pot by watching her videos and now I love it I use it almost daily I do make my own bone broth and recently I made of broccoli and cheddar cheese soup which was amazing. I have also learned how to make a lot of the recipes keto friendly. Since I always forget to take the meat out for dinner it has become a blessing If I have an idea I just look her up on KZbin and since she has been doing this for a few years I can usually find any type of recipe With the winter coming I love suits and I am looking forward to that I do have to admit that the chicken soup was out of this world.

Urinary tract infections cause blood in urine, have had this a few times and was given antibiotics and told to drink cranberry juice, lots of water, and when it was gone started taking Cranberry supplements and extra vitamin C. Has helped so much. Don't want to tell you what to do but if they did not take a complete urinalysis you need to get a second opinion, most doctors can do that quickly in their offices.
@charity88414 жыл бұрын
I love watching you and your family. I have learned so much from you about being keto. It’s NOT because of keto. My husband has had more than one stone and he wasn’t keto at the time. They were very painful ones. Had to have them removed by a doctor. Couldn’t even pass them on his own☹️. Drink lots of water and add lemon to one of your glasses. Apple cider vinegar is good too. There are certain foods that don’t help. You might take a break from chocolate, I know chocolate😕, spinach, beets, nuts and many other food items can contribute to kidney stones. Doesn’t mean you have to stop eating them, you just might have to limit them. Fingers crossed you don’t have one or it’s really tiny. 🥰

It's possible that you passed a small kidney stone(or even multiple) and it(they) could have roughed up the piping, so to speak. They aren't always painful if they are very small. Could be from not drinking enough water while eating a lot of salt during keto but I don't think it's fair to blame keto when there are a lot of other things going on in your life besides keto. You are stressed enough. Breathe and trust that things are going to be alright. Whatever the outcome set it in your heart that you can see through the hard times and find joy in every scenario.
