This is the most realistic and healthy what I eat in a day video I've ever seen. Most of the other videos on KZbin show unrealistically small portions.

You really do need to eat well if you want to lose weight! If you eat too few calories, you will end up damaging your body in the long run; you will feel exhausted and tired, your metabolism could drop, and you might even experience organ dysfunction. That's not to scare anybody, but you really do have to work WITH your body to be healthy, not AGAINST it.

oh, wow. really didn't think to get any of these. I'm vegan and that's why I pointed out only those veggie recipes. And actually, even if I wouldn't be vegan, why the hell turn a positive comment to hateful? that's why vegan community gets so much hate. because people like you are angry at everything that's not vegan. Be friendly and others will respond the same... Amen...

FOOD IS FUEL This was awesome, healthy and very realistic. I think the portions were perfect and I liked that you said that you take about 20 mins to eat - that's a really important detail - that you need to eat slowly. I've personally been focusing on making sure I take my time to eat and chew my food thoroughly so I don't over eat and so digesting is easier. Thanks for adding how many calories you typically consume to lose wight. Great video, I loved the oatmeal recipe, excited to try that.

The food looked amazing, but I cannot imagine it all coming under 1300 calories! With the oats, the quinoa, and the different fats you used. I mean, all of these ingredients are healthy, and good for you, but still have a substantial amount of calories
@LiezlJayne8 жыл бұрын
I give a full calorie breakdown of the calories that I consumed on my blog - I have measured out all of these foods (1/2 cup cooked quinoa, 1/2 cup dry oats, 1 flat teaspoon coconut oil, etc). I was at 1400 calories for that day, because I had the snack too. If I didn't have the snack, I would have been at about 1200 cal. I don't have a snack every day if I am trying to lose weight - only if I have been more active than usual. Here is the full breakdown for you on my blog: liezljayne.com/video-what-i-eat-in-a-day-to-lose-weight-day-1/
@MsCubefist6 жыл бұрын
That's bullshit. Let's look at the lunch. The estimated calory intake in that is 400-450. The walnuts are aproximately 100 kcal. The tblsp of olive oil is 120 kcal. The avocado has around 110 kcal. Cranberries, 24 kcal in each tblspn. Quinoa, another 90 kcal, aproximately. We are already at 444 kcals (if you only have ONE tablespoon if cranberries, that is). Add the veggies, the undefined roasted vegetables (unclear if roasted in oil or not) and you are way over 450 kcals. Problematic is also that most people underestimate their kcal intake because of bad measurements. Oftentimes it is even higher than we have calculated anyways.
@BergenholtzChannel3 жыл бұрын
Let me start by saying that I love your posts. I love the way you don't vilify any type of food, but instead look at portions. With that said, I did look at the calorie count for the portions you listed and they actually came out to be 462 for the breakfast, 730 for the lunch, 168 for the snack and, if you use a half cup of each of the vegetables, 400 for dinner, for a total of 1760 total.

Its always difficult to lose weight, but the similar formula is eat less do more. I am not following any diet. And I have lost 85 lbs in a year. It may not be the rapid loss that the more unhealthy diets result in, but I am happy with that. I still have 49 lbs to go and I am loving the weight loss community on KZbin. I never thought to look here, now I am so glad i did. If you would like to sub to a normal woman in her 40's who is fumbling along the weightloss journey I would LOVE to have you. Do you know about what percentage of fat you'd have in a day? You seem to incorporate healthy fats more often that those who say they're trying to lose weight are. Is it to help keep you fuller longer and in turn eat less throughout the day? Thanks for the lovely video!
@LiezlJayne8 жыл бұрын
Yes as Bron said, it's so important to have healthy fats in your diet whether you are trying to lose weight or not. They do definitely help to keep you fuller for longer (even small amounts) which is great, but they're so important for maintaining the health of the brain and other vital organs. I don't measure out percentages. I just try to add some to every meal - either 1 flat teaspoon of coconut oil with oatmeal, or 1 teaspoon olive oil in a salad, or 1/3 avocado with lunch. Fats are higher in calories than carbs and protein, so I eat in moderation - but they are still so important!
@tanairigonzalez14558 жыл бұрын
Liezl Jayne Strydom Thank you for your detailed answer and for examples. Those definitely seem like reasonable amount of fats to incorporate. :)
