The short fat ones like you ate are supposed to be eaten when firm. The taller pointy ones must be completely soft and almost mushy, and then they are amazing. But if they’re not all the way ripe they will pucker your mouth a LOT. There are also persimmons native to North America. They are much smaller, and also have to be soft to be good.

I’m so excited for you to do no added sugar for a month! You will be shocked at the difference it makes in your mental health, your body aches and pains, and your digestion! When I did it I remember thinking how dumb I had been for not doing it sooner. That all those drs that always told me that there wasn’t anything wrong with to cause my fatigue and other issues were right. I always thought no way doc, there has to be some mystery disease causing all of this. Nope, it was absolutely the sugar. When I go off on a bender now I can feel every bit of it. The headache, body aches, stomach issues, etc. I even feel depressed for a couple days after! It’s like a horrible hangover. You will feel so much better!

That’s more than likely a Fuyu persimmon and they are eaten when firm, more like an apple. The Hachiya variety are more oblong in shape and should be eaten when super soft and they are usually sweeter than Fuyu. My grandma grew them both growing up. We used to stick the Hachiya in the freezer when super soft and then cut the top off and scoop it out with a spoon.

About the echo: You could also hang up curtains on all of the walls. Curtains are a common tool in spaces where you practice theatre and singing. You could get sheer white ones that will look so dreamy with your fairy lights. Or if you paint the room, the curtains could still be sheer but in the same color as the walls of course. BTW doing yoga in dark rooms is such a vibe, love it so much. If I ever had the budget to have a yoga room, I would paint it a dark emerald green or dark blue, paired with a black ceiling and fairy lights strung across it.

I have learned about THE ultimate trick to not cry while chopping onions. I have put it to the test MULTIPLE times: take a good gulp of water, not a sip, a gulp, and hold it, without swallowing the water, while chopping. I know I thought it sounded ridiculous as well but it freakin works. This is my Happy New Year gift to you, cheers!!! 🍾🥂 Also, instant pot plus sushi bazooka = guaranteed delicious restaurant quality sushi that will NOT leave you hungry after, because you fill it yourself. Bea, if you have a gas stove, put the cutting board right next to it, turn the burner next to the cutting board on, then cut your onions there. Problem solved! I don't know how it works but it somehow gets rid of the fumes. (ETA I see your stove isn't gas. So then wear some kind of goggles. Also problem solved. OR spray a little water on top of them as you cut them. That works, too.)

Kinda similar, but instead of chili powder, chopped jalapeno pepper w the chopped onion and chopped tomatoes. (No canned tomatoes)And you scramble the eggs in so they are cooked to your liking 👍 the main seasoning i use is just salt, but you can salt your veggies first before you salt the eggs too. But dont over salt 😯 i hope i did a good job explaining. But might be best to look up a highly rated recipe 😅

Persimmons are my favorite, but they must be ripe...when not ripe, they give a cotton mouth feeling. When ripe, they are very juicy and sweet, with a cinnamon flavor. They are ripe when soft, to force ripening faster, freeze them for about a week. Once defrosted they are perfectly sweet. Also, the flat type persimmons usually ripen faster than the heart shaped ones (two different species).

I love your channel and the squishmellows. If you love them, that is all that matters. I have been looking at doing somatic exercise for childhood trauma. I keep seeing it pop up on Instagram, and I am intrigued. The big thing that pushed me to it is when a comedian made a joke, and I burst into tears. Thankfully, I was at home. It was the wake-up call that I needed to seek therapy immediately instead of continuing to wait for availablity on the NHS.

I just got to the part of the video where you're in your yoga room. I saw all the lights and I thought, "No way!" If I had a yoga room, I would paint it moody and get a peel and stick wallpaper that was either a mural of someplace deep in the forest or a stormy day at the beach. But that's because I'm not fond of too much light. I seem to have some kind of sensitivity to light. 🤷‍♀️

You could also make up some padded fabric panels to hang on the walls and your meditation room to absorb the sound
