Great video! A lot of non-diet dieticians won't share what they eat in case it triggers people to start copying them and adopting another form of unhealthy habits but for those of us just interested in what others intuitive eaters eat in a day this is great! It would be great to see how much you eat of your meal too, its easy to assume you eat it all but if you're listening to your queues then i guess you leave some of your food?

Also...get yourself some masa. Mix about a third cup of that with enough water to make a thick batter consistency. Add to your chili at the end to punch up the corn flavor and add good texture to your chili. I make a ton of different chilis too. It's a favorite.
@butterflyinflight857 жыл бұрын
My sons favorite meal is chili. Have you thought about making your own yogurt? Also what do you use as a sweetener other then sugar? Everything I've tried has an after taste too it and I just can't force myself to keep using them until I get used to it :/

I don’t know if it’s true or not but I read that you have to be really careful with the aroma therapy oils you are using because some of them are toxic to your dog and a lot of people don’t know! But some people have said that it has made their animals really sick
@BeccaBristow7 жыл бұрын
Yeah it totally depends on the brand/quality!! You do have to be careful but I'm comfortable with using YL around her! They have a whole animal safety board and also tons of resources so you always know what is safe! :)

Sure for a baby cow it is, it's designed to help a small cow get very very big why on earth should we drink it
@morganbailey33577 жыл бұрын
nurdychick13 I was asking because I honestly do not know. I felt like your reply was very rude and not needed. If you really wanted to help you could have replied a little differently.
@jessicagleason76967 жыл бұрын
Hi Morgan! I just finished my Bachelor's Degree in food and nutrition and am on my way to becoming a registered dietitian like Becca, so I feel like I can adequately answer this question for you! Cow's milk is a natural product, though it is intended for baby cows. It is filled with fat and growth hormones to help grow a baby cow into a big 1,000+ lbs. cow! Even though people have been consuming dairy for centuries, it is not specifically meant for human consumption. Humans are actually supposed to stop consuming milk after they have been weaned from their mother's breast. This is biologically proven because as babies we produce lots of lactase (the enzyme that breaks down the sugar in milk, aka lactose). As we grow older and stop consuming milk, we stop producing lactase, which is why a large portion of the population is lactose intolerant. In my opinion, this makes it clear that humans should not consume milk past infancy, and most certainly not another species milk. And oddly enough we are the only species on the planet to ingest another mammals milk. Kind of weird, right? Plant-based milks are a good alternative to dairy milk, but you want to watch out for the ones that have a bunch of additives in the ingredients list (gums & carageenan, to name a couple..). If you're going to buy a plant-based milk I would look for one in the refrigerated section of your grocery store and read the ingredients. You really don't need anything else besides the nuts (almonds in this case) and water. However you might also find salt and added vitamins to improve taste and provide the same nutrients as dairy milk (calcium and vitamin D, which are added to the dairy milk). There's also lots of KZbin videos on how to make your own plant-based milk at home if you want to keep the ingredients really clean! Sorry for the long reply, but I hope this helps answer your question! :)

Jessica Gleason thank you sooo much! That makes so much sense! I have a one year old son and he drinks organic whole milk right now. I will definitely be doing some more research. I really appreciate it.

Just because animals are organic and grass fed does not mean that they don’t get abuse and cruelty in their life! The dairy industry is even more cruel than the meat industry!
@madelynkfleming70587 жыл бұрын
Andrea Lowery I’m really just asking with interest... how are animals harmed when they are getting used for dairy and stuff. I have been wondering for awhile and want to know the answer!! No hate intended
@MrsLowery897 жыл бұрын
Madelyn K Fleming It would take to long to explain on here but I very much recommend to do your own research with cruelty and the dairy industry, how animals products are not healthy and watch these few documentaries: What the health, Cowspiracy, Forks over Knives, Vegucated and Earthlings. 🙏🏻✌🏻
@daniella61337 жыл бұрын
^ it doesn't take long at all to explain. Basically calves are taken from their mothers , milked too much, ect. But dairy products are so good for you it's worth it
@N.Traveler7 жыл бұрын
In order for cows to be able to give milk, they have to be pregnant, so they are injected with semen and are pregnant their enire lifes. The calfs will be separated from the mothers and killed. The cows that can't get pregnant anymore are also killed. They don't even reach 50% of their lifespan. Also because they are milked so much, they usually get infections and the pus that runs out of the utters gets in the milk you drink. The government allows 1% of pus in the milk.
@N.Traveler7 жыл бұрын
YES and organic/grass fed is actually more harmful to the environment, since it requires more space, more natural sources and the life of animals DOESN'T get better! It's just an excuse for people to not feel guilty when buying animal products. Cage free eggs? What a joke. As if having 1 square meter more to walk on is more humane.
