Just had a family member in the hospital. While there hanging out and they were asleep, I was chilling watching videos on my Vision Pro. No light to disturb them, no loud noise for me to hear and disturbing them. It was great. My quest 3 can do videos too, but it’s not done as well, and it’s just not the same. Id bet the quest 3 steps up its game for content, but it isnt there yet.

SOOO COOL! The edges of the window while the Aquaman trailer playing glow/light leaks from it which added more realism as if the windows are there in real life. It is as if you're viewing it from a real window that light rays pass through to your room

I don't think people hate the Apple vision pro I think people realize it's not worth the price due to the lack of available content and the inability to use it productivity outside the vision ecosystem.

@@jbrink1789a lot of those people haven’t experienced it, that’s partly the problem. Personally the 3d movies and tv shows experience was why I bought it. And it’s been amazing, it’s my new favorite way to watch stuff just laying back in a bed with a huge screen above. And I tried this on my quest 3, it was dope on there too but the screen quality is wayyyyyyy better on Apple Vision Pro. So much better to where it’s worth putting on rather then watching a normal tv. And not only that but anytime I need to walk somewhere I can ask Siri to open Apple Music and bring my show or movie with me. Anytime I need to send a text I just open that up, I hop on twitter when I want to tweet something, it’s just way more freeing then the quest 3. I don’t feel limited.

I'm actually glad you made this. Having all this in one video really does give a genuine view on what exactly you're enjoying about the Vision Pro. And tbh I get the phone boredom. I'm three generations deep into Z Fold and it's still very ideal for what I need... but it doesn't feel new anymore. These headsets do feel like something new, easily the most exciting we've seen in recent tech.

Covering phones after a while became a job more than something I enjoyed. The "I have to cover this, but I really don't want to" energy made me not want to make videos about it anymore. With the Vision Pro I'm enjoying tech again, probably will take a look at the Meta Quest as well but Im good on phones for a while

Its all about the quality of the experience. Its about how good passthrough looks with the AVP (better than any other consumer device). The windows you can open are extremely crisp. Navigating the menus is intuitive and fun. Its honestly one of those products you need to personally try out to see the difference these different factors make for the experience. Modern smartphones you can go out and buy the cheapest phone possible and sure it will have all the basic things you can expect but the experience on the device suffers. AVP is similar its a serious step towards showing what a premium well thought out consumer device should look like for the these types of devices. Keep in mind this is Apple's gen 1 product. Even if you feel there are too many compromises holding this device back remember it only gets better from here.

I really like the subtle dimming of lights whenever you are looking at the Apple tv trailer window..really cool stuff..I wish I can get a demo soon but Vision Pro is not there in India yet..I am dying to build apps for it because I have been working on this field for quite some time but everyone was kind of waiting for Apple to enter the market and show what quality user experience can be like..I think it has fulfilled the promise...I have a Quest 3 but it has different value propositions which is good too, but the flexibility and UX is where vision pro takes the money..

I think people just talk down about it because vr headsets have existed for so long, and you can technically do “more” with them - gaming primarily. Thing with the Apple vision is it’s actually the best in terms of hardware currently in the world, so you can’t argue about that. I guess it’s just the price to performance ratio that gets some people, but fact is f you got the cash you can buy the best, as usual with anything in this world enthusiast wise. People (including me) will spend a couple grand for a 30% better headphone than a $400 one. You’re paying for that extra resolution, the oled displays, the Apple experience and the build quality. I will admit though, as somebody that games on vr it’s hard to know the target audience for the av pro unless your using it for productivity, since movies and face time can only be so valuable. If they can add gaming to it, then it’s a solid win.

Totally agree, but it's not just gaming that's missing. There's no Google Earth VR on the AVP. All the other headsets can run it but Apple decided not to allow it for their customers. That is a major bummer because that is a mind blowing experience on the Quest headsets.

Thanks for the video. I have two use cases...one is watching movies and there seems to be a lot of agreement that the Vision Pro excels for that use case. But my other use case is working on projects that typically benefit from lots of windows open. I have two 5K displays and I still end up with multiple overlapping windows with some of them just getting lost. I still have not seen a good video describing such a working use case. I still don't understand how well it will work for copy and paste, drag and drop and etc from one app to another with my mac as the primary display.

Comparing quest 3 to Apple Vision Pro is like a chrome book vs a Mac book pro. They both can do a lot of the same stuff. But one is way better for workflow and media. But sure you can both search the web. But it’s different

I love my Vision Pro. My family loves it. Definitely not going back to the store. Even with limited content it’s still amazing. That’s without KZbin (which is coming) or Spotify. Once they solve the weight issue it’s game over for any other headset. The technology exists to solve it with Samsungs transparent display. I’m curious if they are moving in that direction.

@@josephformosa9471 yes through the browser. With the way eye tracking is used as the hover state for a button, you need a native app that is made to work with the visionOS for it to work ideal.

That's a ridiculous take. It's not Steam VR compatible so it's kind of the other way around. Once Google, Meta or Valve come out with their own micro OLED headsets that run Steam vr, it will be game over for the AVP unless Apple decides to allow their customers to run Steam VR. My guess is they will have to cave, but only for the next headset. So current buyers will be stuck without steam VR.

This tool opens the door to gaming, education and entertainment options for Apple that haven’t been available or realized. The interface and intuitive interactions are leader of the pack thinking as usual with Apple. All meta is good for is some games and a creepy metaverse experience. Google glass doesn’t even exist anymore. Until you have worked in it you really can’t speak on it. You’re like those people that say weed is horrible without ever taking a 💨. When you screen record you have to enable the microphone, its turned off by default Press and hold the screen record button and a menu will open and you can turn on the microphone

Wise move. Apple Vision Pro hasn't even been showing its existence or what kind of breed it is for 2 weeks. It just need some updates and more softwares to show something that is beyond its 2% potential. If you really need $4,000 back to pay something more important in your life than I understand but returning it because you see no use cases and blaming on the device but not softwares availability is just illogical because pc would also be useless with no use cases that way. Design apps/games for VR/AR device is so different than any other flatscreen/curvescreen devices, developers need more experience for such device and is back to basic again

It’s hard to admit, but design justifies so much of the price. This is basically your face when u wear it, no one wants their face to look like a plastic toy which the quest looks like. I can honestly see Vision Pro becoming cool to wear because it looks like a high quality Apple product and those are cool.

I, like you, am a tech enthusiast. I've bought every major VR headset since the first PlayStation VR headset. While I'm intrigued by the Apple Vision Pro, I can't justify the price just yet. I'm worried that I'll get over the novelty of it within a month just like I have with every other headset. I envision myself using it mainly for movies, but it feels silly to buy it for that when I have a $1.5k 4K TV at home. I appreciate that Apple has entered the VR/AR space however, and I'm excited to see where this technology takes us in the next decade.

I'm not a hater, just a realist. I find it funny that people make video's just to justify their purchase of the Apple Vision Pro. You don't have to. Look, I have VR as well, not the Apple. I can't see my self spending that amount of money for VR. The content arent any better or worse on the Vision Pro vs. a cheaper option like Oculus. Its a niche product, with limited content. After a while the appeal fades, you end up getting tired wearing the headset. It's great at first, then you find your self not using it less and less. I speak from experience.

if you need more than 2 hours you can take a power bank easily if you are out of the house. Otherwise it can be charged while in use at home.
