Heeeeyyyy pretty lady 😍! Great content as per usual! I love watching the things you eat, it looks delicious and I love seeing black women take care of themselves. My beloved grandmother suffered with poor health for 30 years before she died due to poor eating habits. She was 76 when she died (still young imo) and she suffered so very much in the last 15 years of her life (which is a long time to suffer). She was the sweetest woman I knew and I hated how my granny went out. Black women in my granny’s age group didn’t know much about eating healthy. They ate what made their souls feel good (it’s called soul food for a reason) due to the oppression they had to live with on a daily basis. By the time my granny started to get really sick, she felt it was too late to try to change. This generation is so smart, the Information Age is just good for everyone. And you are apart of passing along great knowledge and introducing a healthy lifestyle to other people so we can break the chains of disease, suffering and death because of bad diets and poor self care regimens or lack there of. You are inspiring so many people to take the time out to really be intentional about the way they eat and take care of their bodies. And you are passing along the gift of health and self care to your family, your kids will eventually grow up and start their own families and they will take the healthy lifestyle you have instilled into them and raise their own children with these healthy lifestyle habits. I’m so grateful to have people like you in this space 🤌🏾🫶🏾🥰

Saved this in my recipes a while back. Just came to say I finally made Re's infamous pinto beans. They always look so good and they came out bomb. I cooked them in the crockpot. Letting them slow cook overnight. Making my rice etc tomorrow lol Thank you!!

thank you! during my freshman year of college, I just started to have tons of stomach pain (more than usual), lack of appetite, vomiting, etc. I was tired of feeling bad so I went to a gastroenterologist to have an endoscopy procedure.

I have gut problems as well as digestion/extreme bloating problems and want to make the switch. But its been hard giving up all my favorite foods and moving into completely plant based. @@thefeels6848 ritual and no have no issues digesting most beans. I did in the very beginning because I didn't eat beans a lot at first. lentils and chickpeas are especially easy on digestion for people who don't typically eat beans. but there are other sources of iron other than beans. just google "good plant iron sources." :)
