I think Buuhan actually gets murdered worse in this scenario because Gogeta knows he has a time limit. I think that's why in most situations Vegito is more laid back like Goku, but I think Gogeta would only be absorbed out of necessity. Even then, what's stopping him from not unfusing because the dance is more efficient energy wise? Super Saiyan 3 is an exception because that form drains so much energy by itself. This means that if he does it at the same timeline Goku and Vegeta would have way more energy left. I think it would still go to the same conclusion but with Goku and Vegeta coming out significantly less injured. I'd even go far as to say that Gogeta could also just trick Buuhan into absorbing him, and if he does defuse Goku and Vegeta don't have any real energy loss. It happened with Gotenks because he wasn't smart with his energy. With Gogeta I think the Vegeta is definitely dominant. He'd probably just go straight to Super Saiyan 1 or 2 and just kick Buuhan's ass worse than Broly then deal with them being absorbed.

Definition the best outcome/world and the best DBZ story progression, that lasted decades and influenced/brought our current situation with DBS: Broly. Vegito and Gogeta are perfect like their two stories. Thank god they made the film before Toriyama's own decisions. We wouldn't even have had Gogeta in any status. Although Gogeta was always already canon by the fact that Goku and Vegeta speak about the dance-type fusion after entering Buu.

@@wuffy8006 third note: just because piccolo saw how big an amp the boys got doesn't mean he knew how strong the adults would get, after all: Piccolo did not see a real significant change in power between goten and trunks and was pondering why they didn't go ssj, but when gotenks made his grand re-entrance he was astonished how much stronger they were in reality. Even showcasing Super Saiyan 3 on top of it without us ever seeing either do it separately after the fact. Common sense would indicate that Fusion is more exponential than linear, especially seeing how (generally) every saiyan on saiyan fusion we've seen has always had a base form drastically stronger than their fusees highest saiyan-related forms with their own perks. But overall, the boys, despite being more experienced than Piccolo wouldn't be nearly as exposed to Fusions as Goku was in the afterlife. The same Goku that was planning on/considering to merge with Gohan and Vegeta (especially Vegeta) with the dance before-and-after learning about the Potara that were supposedly meant to keep them merged forever on top of not having a huge chance to backfire like the dance technique as seen with Skinny & Fat Gotenks. It's more likely Buu didn't fully understand Fusion even with others' knowledge to pull from or believing the boost to be much smaller than we would inevitably see.

He doesn't need piccolos brain to figure that out. plus the boys being absorbed know how their fusion works and how strong they get. And he should have felt how much power he lost from going from buutenks to buucolo. plus goku demonstrated ssj1, 2 and 3 so even as fat buu he could understand the way ssj forms work. But I think a good middle ground is that buu wasn't strategising, so much as he was in the moment and having fun, drunk on his power he got from gohan and his own unique majin powers.

@@wuffy8006 I already alluded to all of that with my ending statement whilst bringing up Goku's behind the scene knowledge of Fusion where he has seen multiple Metamorans perform Fusion, hence why his explanation has always been along the lines of "greater than the sum of its parts". A blatantly vague statement but a fine one since: *It ultimately shouldn't matter how strong Buu, Gohan, Piccolo nor Goten & Trunks see Fusion, since their **_only_** frame of reference is Gotenks.* Piccolo is constantly surprised by Gotenks and clearly thinks too narrow mindedly about these otherworldly Fusions compared to his own with Nail and Kami and _could_ contribute most of what he sees to the time chamber in tandem with his teachings (which Goten & Trunks *could* ref for their success). Goten & Trunks think highly of Gotenks and are too full of themselves to think Goku & Vegeta's Fusion would acquire even bigger gains akin to how they thought they had Super Buu mad beat when in actuality he was just waiting for Gohan. Gohan although impressed is just seeing it for the first time. And Super Buu himself has only dealt with Gotenks on three separate occasions, being after Goku left, the time chamber and after escaping the time chamber. He too would have his own thoughts on how strong a Fusion would be, especially after fighting Goku & Vegeta before. But what Buu ended up encountering was beyond his imagination compared to Goku whom after experiencing Potara is still confident in the Dance's abilities even though Vegito expressed his own shock at his incredible strength (likely the Vegeta in him expressed by Goku). It is pretty clear Goku has a better gauge on how strong a hypothetical Gogeta and Goku-x-Gohan Fusion with the Dance or Earrings would be to a Buutenks or Buuhan than Buu himself.

But that would only push that Buu is thinking about the difference between Goten & Trunks to Gotenks more linearly then applying it to Goku & Vegeta rather than rationalizing the difference between Gotenks pre-time chamber and post-time chamber from Piccolo's perspective as more exponential than linear in the grand scheme of things.

Good video man. One thing I would add is that Goku was going to fuse with Gohan to beat Buutenks.. DBZ Chapter 307 Page 4 Panel 7 if Vegetto is supposed to be stronger than Gohkan, then the same should apply with the fusion dance imo. Therefore Gogeta should also be stronger than a hypothetical Gohkan (fusion dance).

I feel that Gogeta and Vegito are pretty much even in strength, but due to time difference in each fusion I believe that Gogeta probably wouldn't have played around with Buuhan since he only has 30 minutes compared to Vegitos 1 hour. Gogeta may get serious and realize that time really isn't on his side so he'd eliminate buu faster.

Realistically Vegito should have killed Buu and wished them all back, but that’s anti climatic and would have been permanent unless AT pulled something out of his ass like the dragon balls being able to defuse(like he did with supreme kai).

Another important difference is Hercule wouldn't have helped against Kid Buu, so they wouldn't be friends with him. If Gogeta couldn't break Buu apart with the Stardust Destroyer (since Buu's abilities are magic-based while the Saiyans' are not), and they had to resort to the dragon balls, I don't see them wishing Fat Buu back, so he would be gone.

Honestly there are two explanations: The In-universe and the out-of-universe. The out of Universe one is that Gogeta is going to win and then the rest of this arc will probably either go exactly the same OR Gogeta would just stomp Majin Buu and would kill Buu with a Stardust Breaker vaporizing him and saving everyone else too. Or In Universe where to be blunt....the Fusion dance wouldn't make that much of a difference. I mean if Base Vegetto can take on Gohan Buu I really, really doubt that Fusion Dance is 50x weaker than Potara. Even if it is he can still go Super Saiyan 2 and vaporize Buu again since Gogeta is more serious. So honestly I just can't see it ending well for Buu.

My answer before watching the video: Depends We know Vegito is either Goku's power multiplied by Vegeta's OR both powers combined with a huge multiplier Now about Gogeta He can be either the same thing as Vegito but with the disadvantage that Goku and Vegeta have to have the same powerlevel to fuse(meaning one has to reduce their Ki before fusing) which would make him just sightly weaker than Vegito, but strong enough to wreck Super Boo OR He could be just Goku + Vegeta, in which case Super Boo would easily crush him unless he caught the guy off guard with Stardust Breaker In either case Gogeta would know about his time limit and Stardust Breaker would likely leave everyone inside Boo intact since what it does is to destroy evil as shown in the "non-canon" Janemba movie, with it destroying Janemba who was the evil of the other world but leaving the guy who was possessed by all that evil intact, and in the "canon" Broly movie where it didnt do shit to Broly and we know Broly is not evil despite his loss of control So I think the most likely result would be S.B. being used and Super Boo being purified by it, leaving Good Boo on his place with Gohan & cia still absorbed inside him, then Gogeta would ask Good Boo to release his friends(probably with Mr Satan getting involved) and Boo would oblige

From what I've been seeing of Vegerot/Vegitto and Gogeta, Gogeta gets a slight power boost on top of the already existing Fusion Boost, where as Vegitto doesn't, due to the Kais not being rated big of fighters, since there's no point usually. I still believe they are the same in strenght (gogeta even say that to freezer in dbs broly movie) and it's a lot cooler, because vegito has the final kamehameha, and gogeta has the "special sphere" (i don't remember the name sorry). And i think that on a battel vegito is good if they have to make a long fight, gogeta is for short one and get the job done, BUT with buu is another world, just because he has absorbed people, but goku and vegeta could resurrect them with the dragonballs. So yeah, it's *cooler* to have both fusion at the same level

So here's the thing about fusion. Both power levels have to match, fusion dance takes their powers and multiplies it, however potara takes all of their power completely and multiplies it regardless of them needing to lower power level.

I kind of feel like Gogeta would have been more likely to just destroy Buuhan instead of trying to get absorbed. He seems more prone to straight kicking ass over planning. And I think Vegeta having to do a "moronic dance" would have something to do with that. Pissed off Vegeta typically doesn't dick around, whereas Goku always seems to enjoy fighting and draws his fights out more than he needs too. This is why Vegeta's personality would be a little more present because the dance fusion has so much emphasis on "balance." Vegeta being pissed makes his personality "more powerful" than a more relaxed Goku. Who's also going to be more willing to go along for the ride since Vegeta actually caved and did the fusion dance. Almost as a thank you to Vegeta. So the no nonsense side of angry Vegeta would be the dominant portion of Gogeta's composite personality. All that said and Vegeta, even pissed, can still be tricked into dragging a fight on. His arrogance gets in his way sometimes, causing him to lose. Which could easily be apart of Gogeta's personality.

i’m not sure about this. Boohan is a smart fighter and he seen how strong fusion was with Gotenks and fought him as a ssj3 and he himself says they couldn’t defeat him even if they fuse. However, there is also that line from Goku saying they could defeat base super boo inside of boo if they fused. i feel even a ssj Vegetto could easily defeat a hypothetical ssj3 Gogeta.

Gogeta, a hypothetical one in the Buu Saga would lose badly even if he went SSJ3. In the Buu Saga there is a scene where Goku teleports to Vegeta to ask him to fuse with him with Potora and as that is going on Buuhan is flying to them saying confidently "Another strong person's shown up! But they're no match for me even if they fuse!" This statement pretty much puts Buuhan above a hypothetical Buu Saga Gogeta because the only fusion Buu has seen up to this point was the dance fusion, so he knows the multiplier for it from Gotenks, WITH SSJ3 and he wasn't worried if Goku and Vegeta did it. Putting Buuhan above a hypothetical Buu Saga Gogeta. Some people may just call this arrogance but honestly, he has the brains of smart fighters like Piccolo so he should theoretically be able to know if he is above that or not. If he wasn't stronger than them fusing with that he wouldn't be so smug and would have had a different tone about the situation he was in. Probably going for the kill or absorption to stop them

I think it works this way, Vegito with potara is addition of both Vegeta and Goku and full power while Gogeta or metamorin fusion is Goku and Vegeta matching their own power levels and multiplying which could work with super saiyan one or two. I'd think Gogeta is stronger because let's be honest Goku and Vegeta will want a strong fusion of Gogeta so they'll be equals when matching power level but at their best max power level while transforming or not

The older supreme Kai says the potara fusion is made stronger because they do not like each other (mostly vegeta just dislikes Goku). I think that is why that fusion comes out more like Vegeta. The potara fusion is way stronger in my opinion because of the friction between the saiyans. The fusion dance is stronger if they like each other and work well together. For instance, goten and trunks.
