What if Obi-Wan Killed Anakin? - Star Wars Theory Fan Fic

Today’s fan-fiction will be one I’ve never done before. What if Obi-Wan killed Anakin on Mustafar? Kenobi didn’t finish Anakin because one, he couldn’t bring himself to do it, and second, by the time he travelled down the high ground to kill him, potentially falling into the lava himself, he would waste his moment of escape as Palpatine landed. For he knew if the Emperor came before him, he would surely die, as Yoda must have lost. This is all from the explanations in the novels, but today’s video will cover what if Obi-Wan had gone down that mountain of high ground to kill Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith.

Sidious laughs at the feeble attempt, but stops when he feels a searing pain on his legs and back. Kenobi had used the force to splash the dark lord with red hot lava. The emperor screams and crumples, wounded but not dead, as obi wan escapes to padme's ship and flees with padme and the droids

He makes a clone of Vader just like they did for starkiller, but this clone Vader is far too powerful and palpatine knows it. The clone doesn’t suffer from the previous Vader’s injuries. So Palpatine grows fearful of the new Vader and tries to dispose of him but of course the new Vader escapes only to hate palpatine, though he is not good, he’s haunted by the memories of a woman, one who brings him comfort but also pain, yet he can’t recall her name, this new Vader driven by fear, and confusion meets up with Darth Maul and their combined hatred of the sith leads to a new power in the galaxy not aligned with either the sith nor the rebellion. Also the Jedi order isn’t nearly as destroyed since Vader had hardly started hunting them. So the rebellion is in better shape as well. This leads to a chaotic three way war between good evil and chaos.

I like the idea of Kenobi turning the tables on Palpatine in the moment when Palp is reveling in his impending victory. Or, potentially, in his hubris, Palpatine decides to take Kenobi prisoner rather than kill him so that he can force Kenobi to witness Luke and Leia being raised as sith. Kenobi later escapes the Emperor's clutches and the spirit of Qui-Gonn leads him to Dagobah to reunite with Yoda and hatch a plan to liberate the galaxy.

Why does Obi-Wan need to walk down from the high ground to finish off Anakin? A simple force push would have taken less than a second. Obi-Wan still could have escaped just like in the canon timeline.

It would go something like this. He couldn't much longer. Obiwan knew it, the rage in Palpatine was making him stronger, while making obiwan weaker by the minute. He threw his last weapon at the sith lord, his lightsaber, the last sign of his jedi ways. Palpatine deftly sidestepped, and in that instant Obiwan put all his force powers together and pushed the man, the thoughts of Anakin and his time together flowing in his mind. He grabbed Padme with the little strength he had left, and limped toward the shuttle, escaping palpatine with seconds to spare.... I'll write the rest later

I think he would have enough time to simply kill him and leave. There was a significant gap in the movie between him leaving and Sidious arriving. And then there is force speed...to hurry things up.
