There’s a reason he was projected to go anywhere from late first round to early 3rd round. He had lots of potential, but that potential was super raw. Andy Reid was the right person to harness that potential, and he turned into a superstar by the next season. If he had another coach, say... John Fox, there’s no way he’d have turned out any better than Trubisky.

I do feel that Mahomes is a great talent, but I also give some credit to the team and coaching around him. I don't think he would have done as good in Chicago. Chicago may have been better that they are, but I don't think they would be where the Chiefs are now. I feel the greater travesty is the trade the Bears did to move up ONE spot to draft him.

I recently saw a video (might have been here) about Robert Edwards injury at the Pro bowl beach game. And one comment in the video at the end mentioned how Charles Woodson was the player who collided with Edwards and left him injured. As well as how that may have sparked the Patriots dynasty in a way because of Edwards doesn’t get hurt, Pete Carroll never leaves NE for USC eventually. Belichick maybe stays in NYJ But definitely not in NE. The whole 2000-2020 era of football was shaped by Edwards career being shortened. And Woodsons career was ringless because of essentially a freak play where he and another player innocently went up for a ball and one came down with a blown out knee. Tbh, there may not be a single snap that was more impactful on the NFL in general than that damn rookie beach football game.... I think that would make an absolutely amazing video 🤷🏻‍♂️

I work in North Carolina. They're a local team. I live in South Carolina. Clemson is a local team. Mitchel did not impress me nearly as much as his predecessor. That guy didn't get a shot. Seriously, Mitch did not impress me at all. Watson was Amazing. He was like a force of nature. Like he didn't just uplift his team. He uplifted the freaking planet. You watch him getting his habitat house from Warrick Dunn and and he's just that guy. Gave his first game check to the kitchen staff for hurricane relief. Watson is amazing. Lots of facts wrong in this video. Mitch Trubisky went to the playoffs in his second year, not his first “Year after year he has regressed” not sure which other years. Trubisky had a bad year 1, good year 2, then a bad year 3. That’s one year of regression. Not many years as he says it. “After four games nick foles was plugged in” no, he entered midway through their third game.

The one thing people seem to over look is that all these quarterbacks whether busts or pro bowlers all had talent within the same range. It matters where u go, if u have the coach and other supporting coaches in place, a GM who helps build your team, an o line that can block, pass catchers, and a running game to assist u in development. When u don’t have these things in place your confidence can be shot and your career can be over in a heartbeat. When Rodgers came to GB he didn’t have the same throwing motion as when he came out. He got to sit and learn and work on his craft to perfect it. If he goes to SF he is thrown in the fire from day 1 and maybe never develops. If Mahomes goes to Chicago behind that piss poor line who’s to say he doesn’t get his confidence shaken or hurt. Just look at Carson Wentz he was an MVP candidate and now he is benched. Mahomes went to a blessed situation and was developed properly. If he would have went to Chicago he might have never made it.

A couple mistakes 10:28 Cohen was taken a round later in that same draft. In this scenario, the Bears would take Kamara instead of Cohen, not both. 18:01 the reason the Chiefs didn’t have their first round pick in 2018 in real life was because they traded it to the Bills to move up for Mahomes. Because they didn’t do that in this scenario, they still have it.
