Until there is a way to determine CTE while a player is still living we'll never know .Once a player does get to the professional level , chances are he already played 8 to 10 years of youth , high school , college football . I played , I loved it I still do love it . The players have gotten bigger , stronger , faster .But the playing field is still the same dimensions ( for the most part ) I'd like to see if there could be a trial using a wider , and a bit longer field by extending the EZ by say 2 yards , including moving the goal post back the same . Most everyone would prefer seeing a TD instead of what has become a ho hum 50 yd FG attempt .It won't be long before 60 yard attempts are routine . The KO return has disappeared which was a really violent aspect .But the width of the field should IMO explored .I know folks don't thing that adding I regular season game ( from 16 to 17 is a big deal) but that 17th game is just an another added " exhibition " game .With teams either being out of contention or teams that have clinched POs testing their starters ) but ...Just an observation .

What’s happening to AB right now, I’ll never forgive Burfict for being such a heartless monster. Nobody deserves CTE. I hope Vontaze Burfict gets what he rightfully deserves.
@maximilianmaier39503 жыл бұрын
It's not really just the hit on AB though. If that hit was made by an otherwise really fair player, who just kinda lost it on this play and then showed some remorse for his bad hit, I wouldn't hold it against him forever. The big issue with Burfict is, that he did it so often, got fined or suspended, and did not lear a single lesson out of it because he simply doesn't give a fuck about other players' health. I think the NFL completely failed on Burfict, because when you have a player, where everyone knows that it doesn't matter how much he gets fined or how long he gets suspended, when he comes back on the field, he will do it again and again and again, it's obvious that fines and suspensions don't work with this player. Burfict should have been banned from the NFL for life a long time ago.

0:57 was not a dirty play. Clowney was not even flagged for that hit and wasn't fined after the leaue investigated why? Clowney tried reaching with his right hand for the ball so as to poke it off Wentz left hand. The helmet hit was accidental. This is why Qbs are advised to slide and not dive which was what Wentz was doing here. League rules clearly state that QBs must slight for protection from Refs.
