Why did Afghanistan and the more rural parts of China seem to not be conquered? Did the Government just not bother, or are they disputed areas?
@PoliticizedGaming2 ай бұрын
China would have been too large to conquer, primarily due to its vast population and the immense resources required to effectively administer such a massive country. As for Afghanistan, I included it as a humorous reference, highlighting how even modern-day America was unable to conquer them. Despite this, we’ll assume that the USA is occasionally dropping nukes on each of these countries to remind them who is actually in charge.

Fun video, but the nuclear option forcing a surrender isnt realistic in my opinion. In fact it could do the opposite. Japan in real life surrendered not only because of the nukes but also the Soviet invasion. I personally think the japanese military surrendered cause of the soviets and the japanese civilians surrendered cause of the nukes. The military and civilian populations were pretty out of touch with each other after all. So i think the potential pf being nuked can indeed force surrender, already being nuked just means you have nothing left to lose and you have an easy justification for continuing the war.
@stargazer-elite2 ай бұрын
Japan had already started planning on surrendering, but the US wanted a complete unconditional surrender which Japan did not want of course so they decided to keep on fighting the nukes are what made Japan surrender to the US considering the Soviet invasion wasn’t really much of a threat to the mainland of Japan until that point
@r1ppl3_132 ай бұрын
@@stargazer-elite honestly thats what i used to think. but i read somewhere that the military wasnt actually following orders from the emperor fully. ofc i could be wrong about this specific incident as its pretty disputed from the discussions ive seen. but lets disregard japan as an example. a nuclear attack could easily be used as a pretext for a war justification. ofc there are other variables that take place but i dont think a nuke alone can force a surrender. and taking into context that the US betrayed its allies in this scenario and pretty much going "warmongerer", i doubt people who value human rights and democracy would allow themselves to get invaded without a fight. ofc youre free to think otherwise, this is just a personal opinion.

(I MEAN NO HATE, JUST CRITICIZING) few things, 1. the u.s. didn’t have that many nukes just after ww2. 2. 3:16 that’s not the soviet union 😭 3. least nationalist american patriot (sure i do love mah america, but there’s a limit) 4. with only around 25,000 troops at the time (including reserves) it’s pretty hard to station troops in literally every country, i mean this is super unstable not to mention the amount of riots, the military would easily be overtaken 5. the instant the world finds out about american ambitions the entire united nations would declare war. it’s hard to not declare war on a country that publicly wants your entire country. 6. the soviets had have been developing their own nukes, so america’s monopoly would last only a few years 7. pushing cultures and languages and ideals a propaganda into foreign areas is, one, concerningly similar to what the nazis intended (lebensraum) and two, is literally the reason why america rebelled from britain. the americans wanted to distance themselves from the british not only because they were treated like shit but because britain was trying to make america reliant on britain. what’s the difference now? cmon, if you want alternate history atleast make it plausible.
@rpandaplayz2 ай бұрын
Wdym thats not the soviet union? to your 4, America would be controlling basically all units of infantry from any country if they controlled them. So they wouldn't just only be American ones. to your 5. it wasn't clear until after they had gotten rid of the soviet union. and the weaker countries surrendered first leaving only a few powerful ones left. can't argue with 6. and to your 7 I also can agree.
@blueguns150002 ай бұрын
@@rpandaplayz at 3:16 it only shows russia without amur and the central asian republics. the soviets owned all of russia and the asian republics as well as ukraine, belarus, and after ww2 the baltics and kaliningrad. for 4 i really doubt non-american militaries would support america controllin their home country, but if you roll with it. for 5, yeah, that’s what i meant, but america only owned the eastern bloc, so uhh that’s not going to end well
