Instead of using "ultra" "high" or "medium" graphic setting, try to use "optimized" setting like what channel like bechmarKing did. Fps different can be pretty high (like on ultra is 45fps, but on optimized is 70fps) and the visual differences is not noticable. Go check his videos and try it

Good video. I have a similar setup, LG Ultrawide 2560 x 1080 with rtx 4070 Laptop docked, similar to 4060ti desktop. This monitor resolution is much better suitable for the GPU. And I agree most latest/demanding games target should be med-high settings with diss quality and 60fps cap.

It's not, almost the same performance as the 4060, 5 to 10 frames at most. That's not worth the trade-off of frame generation, which makes the 4060 easily twice as fast.

How do you think 3060 12GB would fare on this UW 1440p monitor? Is it just slightly below this 4060? Also, can you add Cyberpunk 2077 as part of the benchmark too? I always think it is like the ultimate benchmark game
@theivadim3 күн бұрын
I always rotate games in these tests. I pick the latest games only. The only time I include Cyberpunk is when I test ray tracing. I imagine that the 3060 will struggle to deliver a good experience at 1440p ultrawide. Even the 4060 is barely handling it. Of course, if we want to play at least on medium quality.
@julianmorgan79Күн бұрын
What's your definition of good enough? I run my 7900xt on an ultrawide va monitor, I want a 4k but the card will not hit 80+ frames at 4k as it just barely hits it on the ultrawide (I'm talking max settings with no raytracing)

does ultra wide 1440p effect fps more than normal 1440p like fov does in some games coz you can see more on screen aka having to render more

1. if you buy ultrawide monitor, you probably has money for a good GPU, right? 2. I have no idea how you can recommend it when it barely runs the games, you cannot even reach 60fps in most cases. You can run this setup, but it is def not recommended, imagine spending 1500$ for the setup and getting this experience.

Has anyone noticed the common denominator on all the bigger gamer-based channels that review cards? The games. I see lots of poo-pooing on the 4060, and it’s just people regurgitating what they hear influences say but they fail to see that what all these big channels are actually selling is the AAA titles and not opinions on gpus. Why do I come to this conclusion? Because not everyone who wants a gpu plays these AAA games , in fact the majority of gamers probably do not play AAA games and the majority of GPU users are professionals using them for strictly AI, video/photo creation, and industrial CAD and engineering applications. I think alot of online opinions regarding gpus in comments are paid people on both AMD and Nvidia just trying to sell their larger profit margin cards and the reviewers and influences are selling the games basically. Then of course you have the normies regurgitating what they hear the majority of from each of these spheres of influence.
@rumpunch82683 күн бұрын
The 4060 received a lot of criticism, primarily due to its perceived high price for its performance compared to last gens 3000 series gpus. As well as a reduction in VRAM. The 4060 isn’t bad but what came before it offered more in price to raw performance.
@crsnhppr82563 күн бұрын
@rumpunch8268 price to performance doesn’t make much sense either. As if anyone hasn’t noticed the price of everything has increase the past 3 to 6 years. The price to performance of a gallon of milk has gone down. 2024 price on average for a gallon of milk is $4.33 , and in 2021 ( release date of 3060) it was $3.51. PC twinks getting pissy about GPU prices seem to be oblivious to the fact that the economics governing the countries producing and selling and marketing GPUs doesn’t revolve around them. The price to value of almost everything has gotten worse. Another lie people have bought into is the subjective theory of the doubling of tech power/ processor power every 4 years or whatever that bs is. Just because an observable trend of exponential advancement has occurred over a specific and limited timeframe doesn’t mean it continues perpetually. They expected a 4060 with 50%-75% more power than the 3060 @ the same price … all while ignoring the economics. They sound like self-absorbed poorly educated idiots.

4060 is a good card but for a single monitor I run a 3 monitor setup and I feel like it couldnt handle it on the 1440p setup. I noticed studders in my game play. On my second rig with a 7600x CPU and 7800xt and it's pretty much running everything in high to ultra settings super smooth on both ultra wides and my 27in. But don't get it twisted 4060 is a beast at 1080p.
