@@dralywood really, don't give up please. Eventually you will catch more attention. People do need help and understanding and it gets complicated quickly and overwhelming especially those that are brand new. Maybe new titles? Thumbnails? I think you are great already, Dr.

This was my first meditation to treat bipolar 2. Unfortunately this medications side affect for me was Akathisia. Before being diagnosed with bipolar disorder I was basically A MESS. So I didn’t realize or even consider that this side effect was occurring. I would hide under my bed when others were in the house. Being in Public was excruciatingly uncomfortable. Impulsively and with no prior consideration I made a terrible decision and overdosed on an over the counter sleep aide. Looking back that snap decision to engage in self harm was not to stop living but I couldn’t live in the condition I was in. I only share this story because it’s relevant to this wonderful video. My psychiatrist clearly did not consider this side effect as the cause of my, I’d call it, discomfort. And after a week in intensive care, a planned liver transplant that I narrowly avoided then another week in a psychiatric unit, the psychiatrist informed me that I was experiencing this side effect. It was explained to me as “restless leg syndrome” but in your brain. This doctor stated this very clinically without realizing how important that statement was. I just started to cry. I was now full of optimism and now I knew that I was HAPPY to have survived and I’m one of the lucky people who got a second chance. So basically this medication wasn’t for me. LOL. I just share this so anyone who reads this might be helped by my experience. Now I take Seroquel and I have no problems with it. NOTE: later I switched medications to a medication similar to ability. And had the same side effect. But that was my bad. Should have known more about a new medication. Mental health for me is ups n downs and sidewayses but that’s who I am. And I wouldn’t change me. This injection has had me in and out of the hospital for a month now. There’s no antidote and the doctors are afraid of giving me anything else because they fear the interaction. Heart palpitations, tachycardia, suicidal ideations, tremors, mood swings, anxiety, insomnia, etc.

I’m on 7.5 mg of abilify to help with autism related irritability which I usually get when I feel ignored by strangers. I initially suffer from moderate social anxiety. Anyway thank you so for posting the video.

I was incarcerated on an acute mental health ward in England after psychosis and mania, I am schizoaffective and bipolar, and opted for 400mg depot injection monthly Aripiprazole and was quickly released on appeal. That was 5 years ago and I have been mentally well but had Diabetes type 2, Hypercholesterolemia, Hypotension and Tachycardia diagnosed after putting on 4 stones of weight. I have gone from being an athletic type to nearly bed ridden so I recently stopped the injection and now take 30mg tablets daily

I've been prescribed 2mg of abilify as 3 different ssri's havent worked for me, only made things worse. So stopping lexapro currently then starting abilify alone. Has anyone else had success with Abilify by itself. Anxiety and depression, very physical symptoms in my case.

My God! The price of medications in the US is unreal. $15-$1600??? You guys are really being ripped off. In Australia, a packet of Abilify 5mg tablets, 1 monthes supply, costs about $170 Aus D. On our PBS it's $7.70 Aus D.
