Really good analysis, Jon. Campus Crusade's tagline under Bill Bright was "Come help change the world". When your starting point is social impact and not the gospel itself, the foundation is laid for trouble down the road.

Let’s not read heretical or misguided intentions into everything. This tagline was not a reference to social impact, it was a call to advance the gospel to the nations through discipleship. Will this change the world? Yes it will. Should that be the motive? Yes it should.

@@aslan2709 Not to be argumentative but I spent 20 years on CCC staff and the view from the inside was change the world, particularly when Dr. Bright spoke. To God's glory? Absolutely. But the end of social change was ever before us.

Thank you so much for the work that you have put into this. You did a great job at describing the concept of Big Eva and I feel more informed now. Over the last couple years, I have slowly stumbled into New Right circles and regained my libertarian roots along the way. After much reading and research, I have become convinced that many of the large institutions in America have been captured/are products of Woodrow Wilson's progressive era. The universities, journalism, the federal government, pharmaceutical industry, military industrial complex, tech sector. All these institutions are talking in circles to one another, giving each other accreditation, living in massive bubbles while us rubes are below their ivory towers living in the real world, at the mercy of their "brilliant" ideas. I didn't believe, or rather I didn't think that there could be even such a thing as Big Eva, but the back of my mind I recognized that something was up. The Jargon, the same favorite pastors, the pernicious pull to leftism- why was everyone talking about the same thing at the same time? This video showed me that I'm not crazy, that Big Eva really is this overarching superstructure and I think your prediction of where it is heading is very accurate. It's fall is around the corner and it'll surprise a lot of people. Once again, thanks for the great video and God bless.

My "ex" church gives food boxes a plenty, all processed garbage by the way, as well as back to school supplies, coats, etc to a local school for the families considered on the poverty line. But they do not include tracts, or scripture, nothing about Christ and His gift to us. The church uses a lot of man hours and space for this ' ministry'. However the Judgment House plays we used to do to tell the gospel have been cancelled. When I started an outreach ambassador group to go into the parks and hand out tracts, offer Christ to the lost all those who stack boxes, fill shelves, organize food drives were too busy. They were aghast at the idea, not qualified, ... So they fill bellies with garbage, give basic supplies so that families can spend their money on luxuries like alcohol, drugs etc and allow these people to in earthly comforts slide, fall, descend into hell. It makes me so angry, but if I was asked for an example of what's wrong with the social gospel, this would be my example.

29:00 I've seen this a lot. It is called "newbies who strongly want to be climbers to rise in influence, power, name-dropping, getting published and distributed through the powerful evangelical subculture guild(s)". Some call it a parody of the Military-Industrial Complex, e.g. the Evangelical Publication Complex (you call it an intended or unintended 'guild'). I've heard of it having three large legs. One out west with Saddleback, one formerly in the MidWest around Willow Creek, and one out east around Northpoint in Georgia. But it can also coalesce around your alma mater evangelical seminary or favorite professor and all of his/her publications and public associations and political allies because you are a fan, a devotee, a loyalty-first follower. Where self-interest in marketing music, books, classes, courses, seminars, symposia, conferences-together, the draw toward not-making-waves by writing, speaking, singing, doing subject matter outside the approved subculture, just becomes a form of polite, evangelical worldliness. Where it actually colludes to cover-up heresy, heterodoxy, immorality, ... it can be part of systemic evil. But not in the systemic-approved ways to describe and discuss issues. E.g. it isn't so much about gender-correctness, levels of melanin, or about USA subcultures and markets. It is WWJD where you substitute "K-Love-approved" for the J, or SB Convention approved for the J. Or Progressive Christian approved or Sojourner approved.... You seem to be focusing upon the woke-"orthodoxy" or virtue signaling to such as a guild that cuts through or seeks to influence all the above and more. I see this with varying degrees of drifted-disarmed, distinctive-losing, worldly effectiveness. The CCP feigns to be concerned about the USA human rights violations and the USA's lack of racial and gender diversity. The CCP is phony in this as they aren't even in the same universe about such issues. They are not struggling with evangelical worldliness, but they are employing similar tactics in a similarly fake and subversive manner. There are people with deep pockets who do cancel conservative evangelical posts in social media. And the PRC and CCP also have very vested interests in those cancellations. Some theocratic Middle East groups like some Marxist and Communist groups are not seeking a reformation or improvement or godly change but rather are seeking full anarchy/destruction as "Revolution 1.0". Then the 2.0 agenda will be the "duking-it-out for who gets to take the most power from the ashes of what is left. For these, and for some if not many of the woke, it has nothing to do with truth or morality or humanity. It has everything to do with obtaining and expanding power. Sorry a bit long.

Always strikes me as a concern that the church operates just like work or the social club or whatever, with an inner core, the leaders, the management, a surrounding ring of "hangers on" and social climbers and the periphery who pay the bills and must be kept under control. Every church and every organisation work like this, but for me why doesn't the Holy Spirit make all the difference. We have this supernatural help yet we look like everyone else? riven with rivalry and cleeks is the Holy Spirit not really decisive in how the church works? Am I expecting too much.

The new guild will also fall short, so I won't be joining the new guild. The heart of the perseverance of the Church will be those who, if men like them had been involved during the past twenty years, Big Eva never would have had opportunity to pretend to be Christian while also openly proclaiming the Spirit Of Wokeness. Those better men will minister spiritual correction to the new guild and hopefully the new guild will accept the offer of edification and not be stiff necked against the Holy Gust. The new guild will need this help, because the new guild is forming of those good men who have stood by and have let evil happen, and while on the surface they are learning their lessons, and I sincerely appreciate that, I also see zero indication that the spiritual root of the problem is even on their radar. Let us turn our hearts to submit to Jesus thoroughly and spiritually and without letting our traditions and our cultures fog our judgement. Let's let God's discernment fog our cultures and traditions, let's keep those cultures and traditions but let them also become less so that Jesus becomes greater, and so do not let our cultures and traditions fog our agreement with Jesus. Let us be conformed to the mind of Christ, conformed to the image of His Son, progressively being sanctified from faith to faith and so from glory to glory; let us take hold of that eternal life which we have correctly confessed to have been given; in the name of the God who makes us alive and in the name of Jesus who is alone Worthy, being made confident by the Gust and the water and the blood, let us be transformed deeply. Only if we are ready to die without hesitation are we then ready to minister the Gospel with power, and only then will our proclamations sound authentic. Let us gather at the gates of murder mills so that none shall ever pass those doors again. Let us live as if we believe Jesus is alive. Amen.

Jon, I wonder if BigEva is best encompassed with understanding the myth of liberalism or pluralism that believes this is a shared value with the world that is possible without God on everyone’s thrown. My hypothesis is that the Christian Worldview is the only one that allows for pluralism because it’s the only worldview that does not presently punish infidels. I believe BigEva is enchanted with the myth of pluralism outside a Christian Worldview. They fundamentally don’t understand that the competing worldviews/religions will ultimately come for them as infidels. And so they naively move God off the thrown of certain aspects of culture and society. So they become false prophets saying their is “peace peace” in pluralism that is only offered with God on the thrown.
