I’m a Jamaican from the U.K. who isn’t in touch with her family anymore and didn’t learn my culture. Your videos are so comforting and help me to learn more of who I am through food. Thank you so much ❤

We used a tin can on the stove when I was younger, however, now we just buy the Grace bottle. Watching this video brings me back and I will definitely make my own next time I make my jerk marinate.

Apparently, I have been making it by burning the sugar in the oil - that's how I normally do it, as I am cooking; but I like the idea of making & bottling for faster cooking - thank you 🙏🏾!!

nice! really great as well for faster caramelized onions and I also use it to add something close to that “wok hei” flavor to fried rice and chow mein. just generally an amazing tool for when something doesn’t turn out as toasty as you wanted or you want to save some time or just add an extra dimension of that toasty flavor. idk why I never knew about this stuff before because maillard and smoky flavors are just as much a cornerstone of cooking as salt or acid or fat and browning is basically just pure maillard and can have as much or as little char flavor as you need. dope video as always 🫡

thanks for the suggestion! Browning is underrated and I realised I didn't touch half of what browning can do

First try at some browning sauce, next up green sauce, chicken in the jerk, your jerk chicken and rice and peas for dinner! Thanks

Good day, Nick. I use dark soya sauce to season my meat. I use Eve browning for my fruit cakes. If I'm doing brown stew chicken, I brown sugar with some oil to fry my chicken. I'm definitely going to try and make my own. Thank you for another great tutorial. Blessings and more blessings. One love. 💙❤️🇯🇲💯✨️

Thanks for the video! Very helpful, but I’m still worried about burning my pot. I know you mentioned the key is turning down the fire as the sugar begins to carmelize but I’ve tried making browning (with both water and oil, which is worse!) and although the taste is good, cleaning the pot literally takes days. It would be great if you could do a more detailed video on (1) avoiding burning and (2) various uses. 🙏

It's great learning the more traditional recipes from your lands - I like trying different cuisines and haven't ever had the chance to get over there so will definitely be trying this in time. Thank you for taking the time to prepare and do these videos :)

Why didn't I know browning was just brown sugar and water? Imagine leaving your house to buy Browning or thinking my food colour isn't dark enough, and brown sugar has been there all along lol Feed & Teach for real! Cheers!
