Hey all! Hope you’re enjoying the video 😊. There’s a topic a few of you thought I should address and it’s her use of the term “mammalian instinct.” As someone who spends a lot of time on stage and on TV, I know how common it is to misspeak and use the wrong word or mispronounce a word. So I tend to let things slide when I feel it’s just someone using the wrong term for something. I’ve done it alot myself. The mammalian instinct has to do with the reflex all mammals share when submerged in water. It has nothing to do with protecting ourselves or our children. That said, for those who subscribe to the theory of a triune brain model. The reptilian brain is related to survival instinct and self preservation (since reptiles don’t protect their young or even, sometimes, their eggs, parental instinct is not associated to this part of the brain) The mammalian brain is connected to emotions and our emotional response to things And the neocortex is all the upper cognitive stuff (reasoning and logic) So the instinct to protect a child would come from the mammalian brain, it’s not a cognitively reasoned response and it’s not a reptilian response because that only focuses on our own survival. Now I don’t know if she’s heard the term “mammalian instinct” misused or if she made it up not knowing it’s a term with a specific meaning trying to say “my mammalian brain responded” but again messing up a term is very common and unless I feel the misuse reveals a hidden truth (think Amber Heard and the bruise kit) I tend to let it slide. I think it’s most likely that she’s heard the term and didn’t know what it meant and made an assumption and wanted to use a fancy word without knowing what it means. 🤷♂️

Spidey...you are exactly right about Meghan being criticized because of the Oprah interview and not her pregnancy. Anything having to do with Archie came after his birth when Meghan and Harry started changing the royal family traditions of not giving birth at St Mary's, and not announcing his birthright away, and most importantly, the fact that at the time they both said they were not going to give their children titles, but during the Oprah interview, she complained that her children were going to be denied their birthright of having titles. Why the flip? She was trying to support her racist claim that they were not going to be given titles because the children were bi-racial, something that was completely not true. She often tells mistruths blatantly like this and expects people to forget what she said earlier, even when it can be verified through various reported sources. She sets herself up for scrutiny and then pretends to wonder why. It's almost as if she can not differentiate the truth from her delusions. It all has to do with what serves her best in the moment.

VIEWERS: I have a question about the dish soap story. Her dad is an award-winning lighting director who worked with successful shows such as "Married With Children". In Tom Bowers' book, he describes how Thomas Markle set the entire thing up (her interview being filmed etc.) with his connections in the entertainment industry. The soap commercial was part of a social studies project the entire class was working on, it was not an idea that sprung up in Megan's head because of a feeling of injustice. This time she's left out the part about writing to and receiving letters back from First Lady Hillary Clinton, Gloria Steinem, and the famous attorney Gloria Ulrich. I think any rational-thinking adult wouldn't believe that letters from an 11-year-old's social studies class would change a billion-dollar company's marketing campaign in 30 days. Not only would I understand that the timing was a huge coincidence, but I also think that any rational-thinking adult would believe her dad when he told her he'd set this up to boost her self-confidence. I'll also mention that a reporter from the magazine "Vogue" has revealed that when he did a story on her she wanted this soap story included however it was not because nothing about her story could be verified, even by a seasoned journalist. My personal opinion is that the only reason she repeatedly tells this story is that she has nothing else to offer as an "achievement". All the woman on that panel are successful and highly respected in their fields because of a lifetime of hard work and dedication. I dare to say that the only reason one of them is there is because of a man. Without that man, she didn't have a voice anyone was interested in listening to. Opinions?

Meghan can do all the criticizing and bullying she wishes in interviews but no one can dare criticize her on social media. Don't you get it? She has been caught in soooo many lies, so many exaggerations, so many untruths. We can see it, but apparently she thinks she justified in her lies. This is why people cannot stop watching her car wreck of PR and do not like her. She acts a saint and role model. She behaves a conniver.

The world criticized whether she was lying or not, and also criticized the timing of the interview being done/aired when Prince Philip was dying. She chose to do the interview, she decided to do it while she was pregnant, she decided to air it while her husband’s grandfather was dying, and she didn’t like the criticism. It's strange that Meghan talks about being bullied online while pregnant. To refute this claim I must refer you to a time when Meghan was pregnant with Archie and sat on the UK International Women's Day panel in 2019 with Annie Lennox. There she proudly claimed that she never reads online comments. One of the ladies challenged her: "so you never look online or read the comments?", Meghan reiterated "Nope... but I do read the economist, I'll give you that". So how can she be bullied while pregnant if she's not online? I know this is digressing a little, but it lends itself to reading her body language knowing that she's potentially lying - or she lied back in 2019. I find it staggering and incongruous that Meghan is smiling (almost with dupers delight) as she recounts being bullied when this should clearly emote a distressing or unpleasant recall ("cruel" is the word she used) - so why instead do we see a look of glee on her face? How can that be explained? I guess my question is do these body language indicators read the same for a person with a cluster B personality? Thank you for the education.

I agree, her approach is flawed. She has a constant victim narrative and doesn't take accountability. She can not see the difference between criticism and hate. If people behave badly then we have a right to call them out. We have that freedom of speech. She lacks self awareness and wants to label any criticism as hate and cruel. Here is an example of fair criticism..."I don't agree with the fact she took 4 private jets in a week and at the same time gave talks to the public about being aware of our carbon footprint". That's a clear case of double standards and hypocrisy. This is not a cruel comment. It's legitimate criticism backed up. We need to call out people and situations. What is not acceptable is incitement to violence or threats. But other than that criticism is OK. Not liking something is not bullying or hate. People that can't handle criticism have inflated ego, narcissist tendancies, live in a bubble demanding only positivity. Life is balance of both we need to hear and accept positivity and negativity.

For example she talks about when she joined the royal family it was worse for her than it was Catherine but she did not experience what Catherine did so can’t relate. Then with this Mother’s Day Picture. She says if she had done this the press would have been harder on her. If I fall over and hurt my knee it hurts me more than it would hurt someone else, this is how I think Meghan reacts to others. She just can’t relate to what others feel. Yes, you see it in action. When she doesn't know how to react she looks at Harry or someone close and copies their reaction but often exaggerates it.
@smithamy19824 ай бұрын
She has no empathy whatsoever which leads me to believe she is either a psychopath or a sociopath. I lean more towards sociopathic because she was raised to believe the world revolved around her and her needs. She was given what she wanted, never had to earn anything and was treated like a spoiled princess her entire life. Her father even lead her to believe she single handedly got the dish soap commercial changed and even got her interviewed on Nick Jr for it. Her over inflated ego and delusions of grandeur began at a young age and only got worse as she grew up. She would reinvent herself to be whichever guy she was targeting's dream girl, instead of just being herself with each of them but the moment she believed she had outgrown them and she had gotten everything she could out of them, she could end the relationship without even saying goodbye and never felt anything for them or what it put them through. Same with friends and eventually family too. Only a true sociopath or psychopath could be so emotionless and move on so quickly. Since she doesn't know what an authentic, organic or natural relationship is actually like she uses those words to explain her relationship to others, while implying it was meant to be. Most people who have an authentic relationship wouldn't even think of the word authentic to describe it because it goes without saying. She's got delusions of grandeur while being incapable of feeling actually attached to anyone who isn't serving her purpose towards social climbing and the moment they're no longer beneficial to her she will cut them out, without a second thought just like everyone else she's used to climb her way to the top. Sadly for Harry, his time will end sooner rather than later, as soon as she finds her next mark that is.

Re: Spidey's question at around 14 minutes - I agree. A lot of the criticism I've seen of MM is not based on her appearance or perceived place in society, but rather a reaction to how she chooses to act and what she says. Honestly a big part of my reaction to her personally is that she acts like a bigger victim than she is - not taking anything away from her emotional experience, just adding that other people have experienced worse things and she doesn't appear to recognize that. Even if she has been emotionally abused, she's still wealthy and a part of the top level of society in a way that wasn't possible 60 years ago, and her intense focus on her own oppression feels ungrateful to all the pioneers who did change society in a big way.

Because even when she seems to be doing the right thing, it often turns out that she's doing it for all the wrong reasons--like supporting a charity that ends up more for her personal profit & self-promotion, using a women's rights platform like SXSW to whine about cyberbullying (when in fact, it's just to silence her critics), the list goes on & on. You are very correct. I do agree that its not so much bullying but criticism of a lot of the things she's said. I also agree with you on the B Shields response about not reading it. I believe that she couldn't respond to the management of the "bullying" because she does read them...she does eventually respond to them to the extent I believe by having changing several PR teams who have to manage all of it while constantly having to rebrand her. So she's heavily in this process but I think she cannot admit to it and even respond properly.

I never understood this “I have to see someone who looks like me.” Who looks like me? It assumes that we all group ourselves and don’t see ourselves as individuals. In the concept of race, insulting. I have 3 kids, they don’t even look like each other. They are unique individuals. That’s what makes the world so beautiful and points to a creator. On the other side, the people who most look like me ( my family of origin) have caused me to do what they never have. The fact that I’m the first to finish college, let alone graduate schools means what it does BECAUSE no one “who looks like me” has ever done it.
