My wife & I have only been doing Keto for 2 weeks, 2 days, so no before and after pictures; although we started losing weight by day 3. However, the pain my wife felt on a constant basis due to her hip bursitis, is practically gone. She's gotten in positions she couldn't get in a few weeks ago, she's pressed on the area really hard, and absolutely no more pain! We're in complete shock and she's thrilled to say the least. One less pain to deal with.... Hopefully it will also help with her fibromyalgia too.

Please note that nutritional yeast is not recommended for everyone, despite its certain health benefits. Those with mold allergies beware especially, but also potentially others. In my partner it triggers severe RLS and PLMD, just as one example, and also a histamine type response. Just wanted to mention this as it took us a very long time to determine that this was one of the causes of his issues and doctors were of very little help.

Lucas, I totally agree! Of all my maladies, the massive memory loss and brain dysfunction was my main concern. Starting last April, I began following as well as I could with Keto/IF. Many of my issues began to slowly improve. I ate OMAD from the beginning and don't eat at all if I'm not hungry. I just fell into a 4 day fast that did AMAZING things for my brain!! Memories were coming back. I could make sense of things SO much better! Almost all symptoms of 4 AI disorders were gone at the end of that 4 days! Diet and fasting accomplished what 3 1/2 years of Neurologists and other Docs couldn't. They had NO clue what happened to me or why, yet wanted me to take medications that listed death as a side effect. My body rejects even OTC stuff, so I refused! As I continue on with this program, I am getting better and better. Dr. Berg has spoken so many times about the benefits of extended fasting. He's right!! My Dr. declared me free of the autoimmune issues after just 3 months. I've been able to learn again how to spell, know what words mean, count and remember up to 6 digits most of the time! I'm on top of the world with how fast I'm improving! My sons and their wives are, too!! I've come a LONG way from sitting and staring at the wall all day to being able to think, remember and have the energy to do things! What a blessing Dr. Berg has been to me and so many others! I pray that you continue improving at a rapid rate!! Many blessings to you in your journey!!

I use Sari brand unfortified nutritional yeast flakes previously recommended by Dr. Berg. It is wonderful in bone broth, and tastes like cheese. I also sprinkle it on broccoli. It’s great that Dr. Berg has formulated a supplement, but isn’t it better to get our vitamins from natural food sources? I was surprised to find that his source was a tablet. Or maybe the flakes aren’t natural either... hmmmm.....
@vickieturner86885 жыл бұрын
The vitamins and minerals are naturally occurring in the process of producing the flakes. Yeah, I research everything and read all that stuff! I use Frontier Co-op brand. It's quite a bit less expensive than Sari, especially if you do auto-ship. It tastes the same as Sari brand. You just want to use those brands that are NOT fortified with synthetics, as Dr.B said. I do take a few supplements, but prefer to get my nutrients from food, as well. Pills and capsules are hard for me to get down without gagging, so I open the caps or crush a tablet and dump them in a shake. There are also many liquid supplements, which are very easy to take. I simply don't care if they taste bad, as long as they work for me.

Have you checked this supplement out yourself before pondering if it is synthetic, after he just warned about synthetics? Some people still maintain that old and false adage "you can get everything you need by eating a balanced diet" which is false between the nearly universal soil depletion and GMOs. Then, add the hectic lifestyles many people live, Supplements are great for people who don't have the time to make sure they prepare dishes with certain nutrients in it regularly and/or know that with a supplement they don't have to eat foods that they don't like but can still get the benefits from it. As far as the smarmy, cynical and ignorant comment "got to make that money, honey" note that Dr. Berg does not make supplements that are still easily obtained elsewhere in common foods.

@@curiousnook6358 You're welcome. Someone suggested that it was GMO. I checked again and it is NOT GMO. This company does not go crazy with putting labels all over the place. I did a lot of research on it and called the company before I made my first purchase several months ago. Companies DO change their ways sometimes, though, and wanted to be sure.

I just take it by the heaping tablespoon by mouth. Did it every time I ate, which was just once a day. I’ve reached my goal. Just swallow water immediately afterwards. Swish it around and swallow. It doesn’t taste bad at all and you know you’re getting high quality B vitamins. I use Sari. From Amazon. Non fortified in the yellow bag.

Dear Dr. Berg, how much nutrinional yeast should we take in a day?

I'm allergic to yeast. Any alternatives?
@greymetamorphosis5 жыл бұрын
Yes. Dark leafy greens, almonds, eggs, red meat, liver, brown rice, cheese, broccoli, sunflower seeds, legumes, and so on and so forth. I think he gets paid to promote nutritional yeast considering he never talks about these foods when talking about b vitamins, plus he never mentions the threat of mold toxins.

@Dr. Eric Berg -What about folic acid in even unfortified nutritional yeast? Since there is no folic acid occurring naturally how much folic acid is produced by deactivating the yeast?

Hey Dr. Berg, when is the best time to consume Nutritional Yeast? Can this be consumed during IM (Intermittent Fasting)??? The protein content (8g per 2tbsp) leads me to believe that it can't; so I'm inquiring as to when/how I can get the maximum results!

Cheeks McGoo Shouldn’t affect insulin levels much at all. But it is a lot easier to take with food or a smoothie

@@AldousHuxley7 Well, long story short, there are different levels of fasting. If one is trying to reach autophagy the longer one fasts the better. Any interruption will reset the timer, it may not break a fast for long but it will break it none the less. You would just be in a different state of fasting. As to my comment about nutritional yeast breaking the body, I say that because after having a bad experience with it myself, I looked into it and found out some disturbing things. First of all it's known to mess with your micro-biome, causing issues with gut flora and such. Also there have been reports of there being mold toxins found in it, that can't be good either. I could link you the references but I'd have to look it up again. Just try looking into it and see if you can find what I'm talking about, anyway have a good one!
