What Is On My Wrist: 1992 Tudor Submariner Ref. 79090

In this episode of What Is On My Wrist Cam talks about a sharp and affordable Tudor Sub reference 79090. This watch has the same exact build as the popular Rolex Submariner, but with a somewhat different dial layout. The crown is the same triple-lock crown paired with the same Oyster case as its bigger brother the Rolex submariner but at a much more accessible pricepoint (For now at least). interestingly enough this Tudor Sub is that it still has the plexiglass crystal, while Rolex had replaced these with a sapphire crystal in 1979 with the Submariner reference 16800!

This is a great watch because it has all the elements of a $15,000 Sub from the 70's. It's really amazing that Tudor used plexi and bi-directional bezel deep into the 90's!

You realize you haven't lived until owning a Tudor Sub .. no idea why and it doesnt make sense maybe but i would rather a tudor sub over a rolex.. If i was only too wear it and never be able too sell it as investment goes till my last days i would choose tudor all day long.. love em.. absolutley adore them.. damn lol

i think at that time tudor has many different varieties.... mine is tudor crown with uni-directional bezel
