Still amazed me that people in the stream were saying that because an ability doesn't weaken that it wasn't a debuff. While weaken is a debuff, not all debuffs weaken. Weaken now is strictly a light debuff with void. Sever, unravel, slow are examples of a darkness debuff.

These are some things I learned from Final Fantasy 14 raids and they apply to Destiny. Always consider your “damage window” and how much time you have for damage. “One and done” supers are front loaded and allow high burst damage in rotation with weapons. Good for short DPS windows. Roaming Supers are only worth it if the damage outpaces “one and done” supers PLUS the weapon damage rotation.

Honestly, nova bombs better. I’ve solo flawlessed every dungeon with nova bomb and edge transit/dragons breath Being able to keep the transcendence grenades for weaken makes a massive difference. Shaves off a full dmg phase on most bosses compared to song of flame SoF has the nice survivability though, which can be clutch in some cases

Spirit of Inmost does _not_ include the damage boosts to your grenade & melee, nor any form of effect boost for class abilities. You could claim they left that part out because it's more core to the Exotic's identity or whatever, but it wouldn't surprise me if part of it was to not have to come up with what *minor* benefit it could even give to Dodges, Rifts, Phoenix Dive, and Thruster.

Necrotic/Stareater Song of flame Warlock is what I’ve ran and haven’t taken it off. I was sad at the Stareater nerf to ignitions but it still absolutely cooks everything. Such a joy no matter if it’s hordes of ads or a boss it was the combo I was curious for the most and sought out the most. So happy to have gotten that drop so early on in farming. Love to hear it, that the damage is always situational. For example, I'd run a hunter for more precision damage bosses (I'm always on hunter to carry folks through Warlord's) and a warlock in less precise situations or if a team needs either song or well. Titan, I generally just run for fun, the super buffs are very noticeable and definitely something I'll be using more frequently. After the Precious Scars bug got patched, I am now more willing to play my boom boom build with Tommy's Matchbook, paired with Hammer of Sol. Btw, I did in fact carry someone in a duo run for their first proper GM the other day. It was fun, so I plan to play titan again with them in GMs over warlock sometimes

I think it was a mistake to give star eater's out universally. I always felt it was the sole reason most of the hunter supers ever ended up competitive or top of the charts. This testing just goes to show that once you balance the field with everyone having star eaters, a lot of the hunter supers just don't even remotely keep up. ONE of the top ten unique supers you tested were even from a hunter (I don't think it's fair to say 1 in the top like 20 variances, so I'm only counting each super once). And I'm kinda calling out the community, but the community likes to shit on Hunters for no reason, so I don't expect there to be any support for their buffs, even if many pool together wanting Titans buffed.

Idk what hunters need fixed with them or any of their problems( due to me being a Titan main) but I do know that the main problem with titans is options, we only got 2 real ranged supers( shield throw from sentinel doesn’t count) and when was the last time there was more than one Titan build that was “meta”. i think what would help this test is to measure the time it takes for the entire super to be over to get a dps value we kinda know longer super means worse DPS, but for a ranking like this, using dps would be useful i think. just the number / super activation time, literally from the time you press the button to activate until it shows empty like, song of flame is ~12 seconds, so at 2m damage thats just around 170k dps thats lower than most weapon damage, just using leviathans breath has higher dps than that now that doesnt mean song of flame is bad, cause utility is a factor, but i feel like these numbers inflate how good it is for DPS

43:43 Heart of Inmost is interesting because you have to use other abilities to increase the recharge rate of others. You'd likely have to alternate between grenades and the melee to actually get any value, and even then, you're mostly limited by the animation speeds rather than your cool down so it really doesn't increase the damage any extra.

So what I'm getting from this is that titan's twilight is actually the best DMG supernin the game as is applies a debuff and you can keep reapplying the debuff with the axes it spawn and if you want to get crazy with the and DMG rotation, use the axe for 9 lights + The throw = 320k (roughly) add that onto the DMG you get from throwing the initial axes and you get a overall DMG value of 2Mil with applying a drbuf for your team

Don't count picking uo the axes when determining how good the super is. 1. You won't get to do that combo with all three axes before they disappear. 2. If you are in a raid and people are using rockets/GLs and you run between them and the boss to grab an axe you'll cause deaths or preexplode their shots and...you'll get kicked from the team. 3. Not all bosses are grounded or even safe enough to get into melee range with.

Realistically, no. Warlocks reliably apply facet of courage, weaken, and unravel throughout the entire damage phase with transcendence, and it takes up almost no time at all to do so. Add in passive shatter damage with bleak watcher and passive scorch and ignitions with hellion. Also, do not go for spirit apotheosis. Use necrotic for boss dps. Song of flame you use acrius. Nova you use Edge Transit bns envious reserves dump. Both can solo 1 phase this boss using this set up.

@@poggersplayer69 I think you missed the point because even after what you just said twilight is still the best damage super sitting at 2 mil with no extra abilities used like warlocks would need to in your situation, and you could easily one phase solo this boss with behemoth (inconsistent) and a falling guillotine with surrounded and frenzy. With the top notch rng and wiggle on behemoth you can get him to 25% of his HP and then smack him with your sword

@theshortstack02 nova is also 1 and done where twilight arsenal has 3 separate casts and does less total damage with the same buffs and debuffs active. The only thing Nova has going against it is potentially blocking teammates shots in some encounters depending on where you path it. You could always relocate so it doesn't block shots, but that could be inconvenient in some instances, and you might lose out on damage because of it.

12:59, 16:18, 23:16 I don’t know if you noticed it, but Facet of Courage stopped working when you switched to Stasis and Strand subclasses, since that fragment only buffs Light ability damage onto a Darkness debuff. Should have switch over to Facet of Devotion for proper damage testing.

Anything tested with Synthos should be ignored because with most bosses you can't get that buff consistently anyway. And the only super actually worth using generally is Twilight Arsenal. No one is gonna run Hammers for damage lol. Especially since you have to run Solar to get the most out of them. Using Twlight Arsenal is much more practical in a real scenario. Like its great that Behemoth does almost 2 million damage but its rarely a practical option for damage. Golden Gun does less but is practical just about everywhere, which makes it a better super imo.

Hunters are fine. We still have the best dps out of the supers since we can shoot goldie and get back to weapon damage a lot faster than other classes, and doesn't take anywhere near as long to charge up since we don't need 6 orbs after super is full. Besides, Song of flame can't be used against every boss and works best when only 1 is being used, and nova still has the issue of blocking shots from teamates so it's still not that ideal against quite a few raid bosses

Not even a minute in: "all that i ask is there's no weaken effect whatsoever". My brother in christ, Twilight Arsenal weakens on the explosion from the throw, so the latter 2 axes' damage isn't increased if the target is already weakened from before, only the first one's.

You can't outright remove it, so asking for no weaken is basically a half factir to push up supers that apply the default level of weaken themselves (twilight arsenal and spectral blades). Also, he does end up implementing weaken weaken from niva bomb onwards, so why not allow it from the beginning.
