Fascinating point about blood brain barrier creating the pressure for glymphatic system. I’m just a random pleb but it makes sense to me mechanistically

Cyrex Labs offers a test that will show you whether or not your BBB is compromised. If it is, you can take steps to repair it and then retake that test again later.

What steps do you take to repair it? Genuinely curious.
@emstonestreetАй бұрын
@@Joeywho_ Everything I’m about to say comes from my perspective as a patient, I am not a medical practitioner of any kind. As mentioned in the video, the gut and brain barriers are formed by the same type of cell. Studies show that TBIs create decrements in specific gut flora (and separate studies show better outcomes for patients who are given specific probiotics post TBI). You can test your gut flora to see which categories are currently depleted (I did this with a GI360 test) and you can also test for gut permeability. The gut flora decrements may be linked to the deterioration of both the gut and brain barriers post TBI. Gut and BBB permeability go hand in hand, chicken and egg. Same type of cell, similar protocols for repair. My gut repair protocol took about a year and it seems to have gone fairly well. I will retake the Cyrex BBB test in the near future. But I think one of the takeaways from this video for me is the importance of using exercise (like walking at a fast clip for 45 minutes a day) to help with lymphatic drainage since one’s natural nocturnal ability to do that may be compromised by BBB permeability.

wait, I thought Hypoglycemia was LOW blood sugar. What do you mean about hypoglycemia and the blood brain barrier? I have low blood sugar often. I am not diabetic, I am pre-diabetic.

You’re right. Should be hyperglycemia.

I think you have to follow what he calls the four horsemen even closer. He used to call Alzheimer's ""type 3 diabetes.". Manage ldl cholesterol to 30 and maintain your omega index at the right level.
