I have lived chastity... But even though I kept my "virtue" during my teenage and young adult years; I still had a bad reputation. People saw my personality a mile away and assumed I was a promiscuous person...even my own parents would accuse me. I had such high standards of what I wanted in a future husband, I refused to give myself away till I found "the one". So i literally stayed chaste till I was 24. However once my husband & I decided we wanted to be committed... We got busy. Lol. It's true... I wanted to give him my best. Another thing, I am very faithful. However, I notice women treat me like I'm an adulterous person or like Im going to try to steal their husband. It frustrates me... Its not easy being an ESTP female. Thanks for the validation!

Omg i feel you. I've been so friendly with a lot of my male friends, and i do realize it's borderline flirting, but both me and my male friend know that it's just fun banter even if it's a sexual joke. And I've never realized that this, in the eye of other people, makes me look like I'm a huge flirt. And the thing that made me realize this is when someone told me that a couple of my male friends' girlfriends hate me because they think that I'm always flirting eith their bf. When in fact, i was just having friendly banter. Hi there, Im an INTJ female just finishing up high school and i am acquainted with a male ESTP. We've had many great deep and intellectual discussion and i would consider him one of the most interesting people to talk with, he also liked to involved his personal life and deep feelings in these conversations when we talked. From these conversations i always thought he sounded like such a paradox because he seemed very intimacy focused, but also would talk about this girl he had liked for a good 4 years with a devotion that i hadn't heard from anyone before, even though the girl was not reciprocating in any way to his feelings. Ay mang, so I definitely think you’ve nailed the virtue/vice, but I thought it odd that the ESTP virtue/vice would be so narrowly focused toward sexuality, whereas the virtues and vices of the other types are so broadly applicable. After thinking about it, I believe that the concepts of Chastity and Nymphomania can also be applied to things like your life purpose, choice of religion, political stance, diet, etc. I find that my quality of life starts to suffer in pretty much every respect whenever I start to deviate from my central purpose. The more things I dabble in, the more little distractions I give myself [videogames, dead-end jobs, etc] the more my life goes down the toilet. So, in summary, I think for an estp it may be just as important to be globally chaste, with all of our choices, as it is to be chaste in relationships. The concept of picking something and sticking with it is very difficult and demanding, but also a far more rewarding experience. Perhaps a more apt labeling would be Dedication vs Dabbling or something like that. Singularity vs Divergence.

Congratulations. I watched some of your other ESTP-Videos and this nails it. You understood the type, even more than I did prior to this video. You perfectly got the points: fear of being abandoned, seeking external validation very much, using the charisma to attract many females and enjoying every moment of the single life, yet being very, very commited and loyal in a relationship. I know I could get a new affair in a matter of days, but I have zero interst in that if I have a solid relationship. I get the most minimal hints and mood swings of my partner, which also helpts to keep someone happy. And yes, sex is super important. That was one great video, thanks a again!

Hi! ESTP here :) I completely agree that the way we change lovers is not based on any kind of "having fun" or being "not responsible". It is definitely true that sexual experience is one of the highest connection check ups for us (I speak only about myself and other estp's I know personally). We don't see sex as something bad, mostly as "sharing experience". It helps to "undress" person also mentally, to get to know them better while being in sexual relations with him/her. Probably, because we don't exclude sexual experience from the list of other experience, but neither make it as something too serious, people think we act like sluts. But I can tell that we care about each of our ever-lovers and even want to stay friends, not even expecting to have sex in the future, just because we care of them and curios about their life. Why we leave them? Yeah, because except sex we also pay attention to values, way of life, way of communication and total experience. Same here. You might also want to look at Eli Jaxon Bear, Beatrice Chestnut and Naranjo on “type 8” enneagram. Serious problem with lust here, and learning to let go of my few love stories. There’s always a better one coming tho. I have my eyes set on a fellow ESTP, probably the most nymphomaniac woman I’ve ever met, and I have so much tenderness towards her estp tendencies because... I know the struggles. It’s like I feel that my subconscious should be the perfect match for any estp woman out there. And the reality of the bedroom would make it burst like a supernova every day. ESFPs are tempting like that as well. Fantastic experiences with them.

I was starting to worry I wasn't an ESTP as you were talking about how many partners they tend to have. I'm a 21 y/o male ESTP and I'm still a virgin, and I'm not unproud of that. I can remember when I was like 14 watching Game of Thrones and I got to the part where this redhead wildling Ygrette had to sleep next to Jon Snow. I stopped wacking off for almost a week after that, just imagining I was pressed up against her. Do you have, what you'd think, is a close friend who's female? I'm 20 now, always been interested in sex, mainly to make someone feel good. I didn't realize until recently that I've rejected every single advancement from women except for a few. Mainly because of ignorance I think. One of them is my best friend though, I've had sex dreams about her, believing they didn't mean much. But now I realize I simply didn't want to be with anyone else than my best friend. I'm certainly turned on by beautiful women (subjective), especially ones who dare come up to me. But when I get turned on in that sense, I sense it's simply my animalistic instinct. With my best friend it's more, she's an INFP and has apparently never had an orgasm. My first thought was "PLEASE LET ME DELIVER IT TO YOU", but me being insecure about what I wanted at the time. Just said "what? That's a shame". Insecure in the sense of committing to the wrong person in this case. I, as we ESTPs do, rarely care about what other people think of us. Fi trickster :). So I've never been bothered by my chastity, if anything I'm a bit regretful for not getting the experience gained through it.

The truth is, I'm not really qualified to speak about ESTP experiences. You might think I'm a tard, but I've retyped to ENTP. It was a friend of mind who kept telling me I wasn't ESTP, and I debated with him for like a few hours off and on. Finally I realized that ENTP fits me much better.

Im ESTP and my girlfriend INFJ we together since 8 years, we came together when I was 17. I never cheated, i never slept with a other women. And im totally okay with that. because why should I. I think in Fe child land flirting is either non-existent or part of the simply part of the users innate vocabulary to be their friendly, caring selves :) It can genuinely be meant as a compliment or a way to elevate the social situation but gets mistaken for flirting often since child function… is childish 😂 Ikr, revelatory xD And yes, starting to think I might be an ExTP 😂 Close friends say I’m direct but Ti parent pretty much always comes off that way- understanding the harsh reality can make you sound harsh yourself. Do you believe that a person can be typed by the way they look? I believe we can type people by the way they look, and while I admire your ability to be open to people being more varied in type than I am, I believe there are far fewer N's in the world than S's. I mean, Ns are way rare. I don't believe families have dozens of them the way you point out, unless your're the Bronte sisters..... It wasn't until I was in my Twenties that I met my first N, for instance, and she was a famous poet, so I didn't really meet her. I would have recognized myself in them had I met one, and that is something I ached for. And yes, I have met an ESTP female. She's gay, and she's extraordinary. I am a ESTP with mainly N types around me. I balance my S with these people and they make me more opened to the world and make me see things differently. I believe N types are not rare at all, but have a really difficult time to find their place in society. They are more talented than S types in my opinon, but have a lot harder time monotizing thair talent. Also it is harder for them to deal with the world, because they can't simplify it as effecively as S types can. I am by no mean a porfessional. This is one man's point of view.

Szpoganicz the Big 5 and MBTI are mutually exclusive and I reject both. The MBTI is inferior because of how inaccurate the 4 letter system is. Remember, the MBTI is JUST the test and only the test.

This virtue and vice of chastity vs nymphomania for ESTPs doesn't apply to every ESTP around the world. You will not find ESTPs in the Middle East, North Africa and Western Africa and much of Asia being nymphomaniacs due to social and religious conditioning, there must be a more suitable primary virtue and vice for ESTPs which could be applied to ESTPs across different cultures.

I'm an infj who was worried that I was actually an estp because I felt like I acted like an estp a lot around a few of my friends recently but after watching this video I don't think I'm an estp because this is deffinatly not my virtue and vice. I did get the urge to write down all the crushes that I had a couple of days ago but it only fit one page. Integrity vs corruption fits me better than this one. I am a 19 y/o female ESTP. And I'm going through some emotional shit that slaughters me whenever I think about it. I was very close friends with an INTP male since we were both 12 years old. He was my guy best friend during our early teen years and I simply adored him. Last year, he told me he had feelings for me and without thinking that I was risking my bond with my best friend, we dived into a relationship. I told him that I was more than happy that he decided to give me a second chance, but I also told him that if it was the other way round and he was the one who cheated, I would not take him back (I said this because I felt it would be unfair if I did not). He said he'd made his choice and was certain. The next 6 months with my best friend who was my boyfriend now were beautiful. It is the realest connection I've felt. (when compared to all my friends in the world, and the other 4 boys I've dated, Im only 19 so I know little of the world.) So, my INTP boyfriend and I had to leave for college, and both of us ended up in different countries but I felt secure with him in the relationship. One month later, he called me and out of the blue said "You cheated on me and violated my trust, the one thing I asked of you. From the bottom of my heart, fuck you and fuck off." He blocked me everywhere and because there're literally a 1000 miles between us, I cannot talk to him or see him no matter what. I don't know if my cheating was something he hadn't processed when I told him about it, because we had an amazing 6-7 months after I told him that and after he decided to stay with me. I need to know if theres any point hoping for a reconciliation. I have tried all I could, and after several attempts he says he doesn't want anything to do with me because I "take up to much mental space" and wants to cut me off completely (not even try and maintain a 6 year friendship) because I betrayed him, he doesn't want to be with a 'cheat' and if Im around him in the capacity of a friend, he can't deny his feelings for me. When I try to make sense of this situation logically, the answer is easy- "move on. If he wanted to do anything with you he would not fuck you off that easily and wouldn't reject and be an asshole to you every time you tried to approach him. Plus, if anything, he can abandon you at any point of your life because it seems easy for him to be very apathetic and inconsiderate." BUT when I use my emotions, my heart screams at me to remain dedicated to him and I feel we could sort out our differences and reconcile because there is tremendous love. Alas, he has cut me off totally and I am reaching the point where moving on seems easier, but holding on feels painfully right. I can see a future with this man and I truly was blessed to have this person in my life, and I desire his presence every single day. So, is there anything I can do mend my bond with my INTP man, or have my actions ruined it permanently.

Hey female INTP here, first off I’m so sorry he did that to you. That’s just so awful! I know we tend to hold our feelings in a lot. We may try not to complain when we feel betrayed. Or we may not even realize it when we feel hurt even. But when we feel deeply hurt by someone we do cut them off completely. You can’t force him to come back to you, or even talk to you. Maybe in the future when you’ve both matured a bit you can try.... or it might not work out that way. As a Jungian, my advice is to focus on yourself; focus on getting through your feelings and your desires, really sit with them without necessarily having to act. ESTPs grow by developing their sage-like INFJ side. Maybe this pain is God’s/the Universe’s way of getting you to grow and deepen. I really hope you get through this. Peace.

He seems to be very obsessed with purity and how people dress if they're in a relationship and even if they're not or whatever and religion etc. Is this common as well?? I also find that they can overly controlling at times. And advice on dealing with someone like this??
