Starter.. Had a similar one on an old Austin Healy.

Old Ford tractor bendi typ starter. Model A vehicles used this type of starter configurations. Sometimes, with a manual starter button. History.

A little trick on starters, esp those with #3 Phillip head screws, give the screw a little heat from a torch. It will turn right out then. Love pour videos. God bless you too!

Looks like maybe a 6 volt starter/generator?? Not sure what the worm gear on the end is. Must drive an oil pump or hydraulic pump?

It's not a worm drive. It's a spring.

Za starter motor.two long bolts go from one end to the other.usually a screwdriver will dislodge them.tap jently and should pull apart
