I started lifting and wanted to be big/strong since 7th grade. I saw a kid bench 225lb and I wanted to do the same. I haven't stopped lifting 30 years later. Around 38 years old the winds of change were felt. I started to feel weaker, slow recovery, injured more, up and down energy, less focus etc. I just dealt with it for 5 years. I decided at 42 to get on TRT. For the past 5 years I never felt a 10 on a scale from 0 to 10. I was usually around a 7 and as low as a 1. When I was feeling a 1 level of energy I couldn't lift, barely could walk my dogs, and play with my kids. Just getting off the couch felt like it took too much energy. I would describe it has having no energy in the power plant. Being on TRT changed that. The energy level on most days is 8 to 10. Never do I feel a 1. Really don't need coffee anymore. My focus at work is unbelievable. I'm an IT architect and have many conversations throughout the day. I don't get mentally worn out. And I can tell I'm mentally beyond people at the end of the day. I never had low libido, but its now through the roof. I actually had to reduce my Test because at 200 a week my libido was overboard and taking up too much of my thoughts. At 100 a week my test level is 1500. Due to my eating and excising I'm a pretty sold 220 at 5'10''. The test helps you lose weight specifically your waist. I see results without destroying myself at the gym. I'm able to play with my twin 4 year old boys every day without any issue after work. On the weekend I can wake up at 6am take my dogs for a walk for an hour, come home get the boys and take them out for a hike or park for a few hours, come home and go lift. As you can see it can be life changing. It can make you be more involved with your kids and help improve your mentally ability at work. Its beyond muscle for sure. I want to look good, but at my age and where I'm at in my life there other important things in my life that TRT fixed or improved.

@Joey Saza Thanks for your story man. A lot of that stuff hits home. Did you go thru Derek's company, a different online clinic, or a local clinic? At 48, I'm looking to get tested and see where I'm at, and maybe get the ball rolling.
@10304KH3 жыл бұрын
@@big_chungus73 I use Viking alternative. Start at low dose. Don’t do the 200mg split twice a week from the start. Between the test and possible HCG, it can be way too much. All types of craziness can happen when you jump into it like that. I’m actually down to 80mg a week now and feel great. I must be really sensitive to test because that low of dose is not the norm. I’d suggest 100mg split twice a week. You can use insulin syringes if you don’t want to do intramuscular, but that too might be a journey to find out what’s best for you. It can take months of tinkering with dosage and split before being dialed in. Whatever dose you choose stay on it for 8 weeks. Do labs and see where you at. If things look good and you want to increase to say 120/140 do it then and stay on that for 8 weeks. It can be sometime before feeling great. Don’t take an AI. A lot of places push it because they fear estrogen sides. But that too can be a personal journey. Some groups are complete weirdos if you mention AIs. These inhibitors block estrogen. The big guys blasting 500mg of Test and Tren need it, but in most cases People doing HRT don’t need it. The first thing you might notice is focus and being alert like someone flipped a switch on your brain. If you eat right, exercise, don’t drink much alcohol your going to see changes after first 2 months. I just hike and do body weight exercises and I’m 5’10 220 with a 34 waist at 44. You don’t have to kill yourself to see body changes. The test does amazing when it comes to transformation. You get dialed in, you are never coming off TRT.
@DangRenBo3 жыл бұрын
I, too, went on TRT at about 40 through a clinic, and just went in every two weeks for a 1 IU injection. That kind of injection schedule means that you "cycle" from high the first couple of days back to lie right before the next injection. Still, I generally felt like I was 25-30 again, and could operate in the gym and bed as if I were that age.

@Stock Raising There are no studies to prove that beyond 7 days. Abstination creates sexual tension, which is another form of stress which is equally as off-b47ancing as whacking it off WAAAYYYY too much.
@Infinite1473 жыл бұрын
@Stock Raising @Stock Raising I did 153 days. I was on board with a lot of what nofap claimed to do in the beginning but slowly came down to writing off a few things for myself personally. The only thing I can really say that there is truth in is the energy levels, it works as a motivational enhancer but in regards to performance and the other claimed benefits, none of what I have achieved I could give credit to nofap excersise, nutrition, and meditation is 102% wayyy more impacting than nofap. I noticed the differences in my state was now vs when I was on nofap. I noticed that I was more emotionally stable, relaxed, having no brain fog (it manage to get worse on nofap despite claimed benefits), and overall performing much better now vs when I did nofap, and I learned I had the discipline to do it. I do believe its off-balancing to masturbate in excession (dudes be doing it 3-4 times daily nahhh fuck tht), just like everything else in life. However I can also say it's equally as off balancing to just abstain completely for that long as well, and fuck doing that forever. My issue with Nofap is how exaggerated its potential and functionality is vs reality when it hasn't been proven but things are being thrown in as facts. If your seriously THAT ADDICTED to porn then I see why this is a practice you can use to detatch from porn (because I agree its bad, it changes your brain) but with the muscle growth, brain fog, depression and anxiety, and all other stuff, go out and workout, eat healthy, and remove ALL unnecessary stresses from your life, its much more impacting and necessary for your overall well-being, has to be said because I see dudes on nofap who don't do any of it and expect to sit and let nofap do all the work. Thats my short bit-sized summary on it, but I acknowledge thats its just my point of view, if it works for you then forget what I said.

This is purely what I felt on test but I felt the uptick quite gradually at first. I did start off with only 100mg a week for the first the weeks, but it was around the fifth/sixth week that I noticed a jump in my sex drive. It was higher straight away, but that means I went from once a month because I was aware that I had to do it to keep my misses happy, to once a week. Now I'm about 3 months in, my sex drive is like it was when I was 20, and considering I'm 40 now that's a hell of an improvement. I was also showing a lot of other symptoms of low test, low mood, low energy and really crappy sleep, but it was non existent sex drive that was really starting to get to me. And admittedly once I was a couple of months in I've upped the dose quite a bit, so that'll help my general drives too.

Going from low testosterone to average testosterone feels amazing. The most wild part is that your pleasure center is supercharged. It feels like you truly appreciate music, food, etc for the first time. You feel that same buzz around women (even women you are not attracted to). Testosterone is known to produce an opioid response, which I believe is responsible for this. This response is why opioid drugs are known to greatly reduce natural testosterone production (they trick the body into thinking it has too much testosterone). Of course just like the effects of opioid drugs, this honeymoon period wanes over time. But for a guy with low testosterone, this will effectively cure anhedonic depression and even improve chronic pain symptoms (there’s a reason fibromyalgia is 7x more common in women). Anxiety, especially social anxiety (ie, low self confidence), is another big symptom of low testosterone that goes away. There are others, but those are the biggest psychological effects. All of the above is just from going up from low to average testosterone levels. Going even higher is very underwhelming by comparison. Going from average to high-normal gives me a marginal increase in strength and energy. Going even higher gives a bit more strength and a bit of an all-day pump, but it’s generally pretty unremarkable (although I’m sure guys differ). When my testosterone is too high, my estrogen will be too high as well, which makes me wake up at night... again, nothing particularly noteworthy.

Amazing how subjective everyone's TRT experience is. It's supposed to take time to kick in but I felt immediately different on day 1. I thought I was going to get aggressive and argue with everyone but instead I just got really, really calm. It's the best feeling, just an absence of neurosis. I also thought I was going to get acne but instead my skin cleared up. Shoulders grew, arms grew, pecs grew, sex became daily. Put on 15 pounds of muscle in a year. Lingering elbow and knee injuries healed. I'm sure there's a downside but I haven't found it yet.

@andrewhezekiahdaniel3 жыл бұрын
@@darrenvenn Yeah I mean you obviously had great results, but DEXA scans aren't totally reliable and this is a demonstration of that. Even for a juiced-up IFPB monster that would be a ridiculous increase in a year, but I guess main thing is that you have a reference point and you're comparing like-for-like. Just keep in mind that much of the difference will be extra water you're holding, and I'm sure a decent amount will be far - the most important thing is that you're happy with the way you look.

My blood work has never indicated any “issues” and overall my experience with TRT (200mg Test Cypionate /WK) has been very positive. You have much more energy and motivation to do what you want to do plus you recover much quicker. Downsides? GM nitric is good but i would say performax labs Vasomax and olympus labs no mercy definitely take the cake with vaso6 (disregarding the drama with if it works; anecdotally atleast for me it def works), s7, citrulline, and megadose of a non-clump glycerol. Derek does have the megadose of citrulline and the very optimal dose of vasodrive AP which is a staple especially with how it has other pathways/a more diverse MOA than typical nitric oxidergic ingredients imo. You could make one of the best ingredient profiles out there if not the best with a stack of FitNox (which on paper blows every other ingredient out the water with 336% increase in Nitric oxide) , S7, Vaso6, vasodrive AP, Citrulline, nitrosigine, possibly agmatine if you want, and raw garlic ext (specifically for S-allylcystein as the Allicin is unstable) which has like 3-5 pathways for vasodialation. Peak 02 is great for performance and glycerpump/glycersize for intracellular water transportation and there you go best pump supplement you could ask for

I’m also 18 right now and I totally agree. This would help a lot of individuals increase their T and be happier with themselves. Not that we need testosterone now but it sure does sound appealing for the future when our bodies start producing less of it and other hormones in general because I’d love to always have my current build. I’ve gotten a sense of what it’s like to increase my own testosterone production and that was the time at which I was going through puberty. Mainly the sex drive increases at certain times throughout the day are indicative of testosterone release. Ever get excessively horny after deadlifts or squats? That’s from the testosterone your body releases. Maybe you’ll feel more vigorous or more confident afterwards as well depending on how taxed you are from the powerlifting.
