@dooks onu just say u racist
@aspirehigher63683 жыл бұрын
@dooks onu you dont even know who's African American or not so yes it's racist. Black people in America today are comprised of many more segments that you never mentioned when you pinned your complaint all onto one with no basis. U also said at first, "all African-Americans have done..." and then you said 90% and excluded it to your own community. That's only racism.
@aspirehigher63683 жыл бұрын
You're the only person who has said anything about white people, you're also the only person talking about anybody potentially thinking they're better than anyone and the only one relating "a culture of drugs," etc. to a race. Again, yes, that's racist.
@aspirehigher63683 жыл бұрын
@dooks onu but no I said you excluded it TO your community, not that you exluded your community. As in, your first statement implies you were referring to all of Atlanta but then you spoke specifically of how it is where you are. It is unclear if you do think the same of all other areas and if so, it is unclear if your reasoning is because of a sweeping generalization unnecessarily based off the people you know, which indeed would be racist.

As a Harlem native the black culture and love in NYC definitely exists however compared to Atlanta I feel like what us black New Yorkers are missing is that southern hospitality. We’re so individual whereas Atlanta seems like you can go up to any black person and treat them like you’ve known them your whole life. The volunteer work and giving back to the community is greatly larger in ATL but don’t get me wrong I love my city our culture is 🔥🔥 and it always will be.

If you stay within 30 miles of Atlanta, you stay in "Atlanta" That's an automatic unwritten rule. When you ask the follow up question, "What part?" That's when you find out the area they really live. It's just easier to say Atlanta bc everyone knows Atlanta. You mess around and say Marietta off top to someone who don't live here and they have no clue.

As an Atlanta native whose lived and grown up in the "A" since 2004, simply put-the cultural, political, and economic opportunities that Atlanta allots Blacks, e.g. Generational/Legacy Wealth, A history of Black mayors, and viable Entrepreneurship/Business opportunities is unlike any other major U.S. city. Best place to live hands down. So glad my parent chose this City vs. somewhere where I’d have to fight for these things.

I don't live in Atlanta,I did for a short time,but I worked at Clark for a short period.I got to see a few famous people coming in there.I liked it.I think I lived on Buena Vista street,over 15 year's ago.My husband was walkingfrom the bus station late night,had to pass the project's coming home.Three men tried to Rob him, he's from Newyork,he wasn't going down without a fight.They shot him three times,in the back of the Neck,it came through his mouth split his tounge.They told me at Grady memorial they didn't think he would make it but he did.

Just finished watching. Overall very good video . Only thing …they really gotta stop separating Decatur/Dekalb from the city smh Everyone wants to talk about how black ppl votes turned Georgia Blue … that was strictly from Dekalb county it had the most black votes alone they said it on news. Dekalb has the biggest black population and politicians also the most wealthiest blacks live in dekalb. Also Stacey Abrams is from Dekalb (columbia high alumni) lol most of the culture comes from dekalb … no one has been moving to the west side (record numbers) in the past 20-30 years. It’s a dying area that’s why they built the belt line and finally tearing down those projects lol
@khrashingphantom96323 жыл бұрын
They didn't really touch to much on the gentrification of the city as a whole which is a HUGE problem. The city itself is rapidly pricing out it's original inhabitants, skimping on it's infrastructure, and stagnating on wages and job opportunities IN the city. I've been saying this for over a decade, ATL WILL become the "New LA" issues and all if we don't intervene quickly. Glad the city is growing, but I hope it grows to be an exceptional city not another broken one.

@@ga4l487 Yep. South Georgia is definitely Black! Atlanta does not have a monopoly on Blackness in Geogia. Go to Albany, Slyvester, Cordele, Macon, Augusta, Savannah, Valdosta, Fort Valley. I could go on and get back to me and tell me Georgia is White. Only part that's really White is up in North Georgia close to or in the Mountains.
