Hi, Chris. I must say that this video was extremely well-made. In fact, it is so amazing that it looks more like an episode of an educational TV show than it does a vlog. That is how well you do. The way you captured the extremely beautiful scenery really touched me as well. You deserve an award for your hard work.

@ahernandez98604 ай бұрын
@bfranco1519 Just like most any other Hawaiian plantation towns. Many locals live here and are easy going. If you come with attitude and disrespect, you can be sure youll regret that choice. If you come with respect and humbleness, youll have a much better visit.

On my last trip to the Big Island (2015) we drove all the way down to Ka Lae and stopped off for lunch in Na'alehu. I didn't like the guava sweet bread at Punalu'u Bakery but the lilikoi cheesecake was delicious. The food at Hana Hou was crap. The town had a distinctly end-of-the-world feel to it and was one of the most relaxed places I've ever seen in the USA.

Well and respectfully done. Born and raised in Hilo, your video brought back many childhood memories of visiting hanai (extended) family in Ka'ū, Pahala, and Na'alehu. Where your music selection for this video is concerned, who you choose and what you play are your business. Nevertheless, and with all due respect, there are slack key (ki ho'alu) artists with beautiful music.

I've been there as well as America's northernmost large-ish town, Fairbanks, Alaska (it's probably more of a regional commerce center for northern Alaska than Utqiagvik). If those were the only choices, I'd probably elect to live in Na'alehu, not just because of the more moderate climate but because Fairbanks was frankly kind of a dump. It also has voracious mosquitoes in the summer and frequently gets major forest fires that make the air quality horrific. At least Anchorage has a slightly more moderate climate thanks to its presence near the ocean.

"Technically" this is the southern most town in the Hawaiian Kingdom! For those of us that are aware of international law and affairs knows that The country of Hawaii is under a prolonged belligerent occupation by the U.S. millitary. This kid does not belong making this video. A foreigner asking other foreigners about the ins and outs of a place they know nothing about! I've been here all my life and don't know these people he's talking to. In Hawaiian style this is shame and nosey! I'd never do this ever! Pop up in America somewhere jump out of my vehicle in an old plantation subdivision and start filming people here don't do that EVER! jump online and display our home to the world like an invitation!? Very empty and lost are the European American people and even deeper as the new generations further from tradition of their own culture due to brain washing by "celebrated"corporate commerce take over. Consumer empty culture white washing and misinforming the future of existence for views, paper and temporary pleasure so awesome yeah!?🤦♂️UNREAL and nomo shame dis kine mahaoi
