Sounds like my sister's car, none of it her fault. It had a telephone pole fall on it knocked over by a drunk driver running from the police while it was my grandfather's car. New windshield, quarter glass, possibly the fender and hood. Once she got it, it got backed into by a guy with a big pickup truck. New front bumper. She was driving though a gas station and a guy blindly pulled out, taking out the entire driver's side. New fender, both doors, back quarter panel. While she was waiting to get that fixed, she got rear-ended and bumped into the car in front of her. Another front bumper and rear bumper. Now the front bumper has been hit again but it's just cracked so we're waiting for the next crash.

My favorite part about the story was the kid shifting. My dad had a fourth gen Trans Am with a T56 when I was a kid. My dad on the regular would let me row gears while he drove and worked the clutch to where it became almost a daily ritual. It really taught me the technique and sequence of driving manual at a young age, as I can bang gears pretty well. Now I have a kid of my own I share this experience with. Still think about that car and the memories we made in it. Miss you Pops.

She should import a AU or BA Ford Falcon wagon from Australia, those things were used as hearses and only had their interiors altered so you can get a pretty solid one if you can find one with no rust and have solid A/C cause Aussie heat. - Some only had interior changes while others got really good body work that look like it rolled out of the factory and some were extended utes with coach built canopys.

To anyone who may have missed her comment "I tensed up. I know it's not good." and may have been confused, crash protection designs and tests are all designed to first protect impaired or incapable drivers, which is why they are tested with crash test dummies. As such, they perform best on dummies, so be a dummy. 😂 Close your eyes, lower your head to avoid whiplash if you have time, and go limp, exhaling slowly so that you are doing so at impact. Let the car take the impact instead of transferring it to your body. It's incredibly counterintuitive, but can save you from severe injuries or worse. If an accident is completely unavoidable, always remember it's easier to replace or repair a car body part than a human one.

I used my 1972 GMC SUBURBAN to hears my Pop's to the his final resting spot. My nephew's drove him. My Pop's watched me make the coffin every thing was recycled from wood to nails, and paint. I even used the coffin for Halloween. My 1972 GMC SUBURBAN was my work truck made it look like a low roder racked in the front. Dark tented window's. All my tool's would still be in the back of my SUBURBAN. My truck tool box would get broken into all the time so I had to pull all my tool's out every time I left out in the street. That's what made me get an enclosed hears/suburban.

My wife and I bought a hearse, and we were going to make it into a camper like a motor home teardrop kinda thing. It had a locked up buick smallblock, but I wanted to put a Mercedes OM606 in there and have a little diesel ripper. And then like 2 months later we found out we were expecting and had to sell it 😢

Hearses are a good choice because they are low millage have lot's of room for cargo or work vehical and people usually move out the way when they see a hearse.

There was a guy in my small hometown in south eastern Oregon who was a total car nut/hot rodder who had a small used car lot called hot rod haven or something similar. His daughter wanted a hearse for her first car. I thought for sure this was going to be her.

I've had 3 hearses as my dailey drivers. I love them. They ride good. You have room to haul things and the ones I had were extremely reliable and came at resonable prices. Gas mileage wasn't real good and tires were expensive. Never got a traffic ticket while driving them.
